Made a sale as I watched this 🎶 Thank you for sharing your tips and strategies! You’re amazing, PLEASE keep spreading this Poshmark love I’m looking forward to what’s next 🎶
Hey Hannah, just discovered your videos and I'm binge watching all of them. I sold on postmark for about 9 months last year and loved it. I moved and haven't really sold since Oct 2019. Love your videos and tips, I'll be getting back into reselling part time soon! Best of luck in your reselling journey :) Thank you for your videos!
This was really helpful thanks! I wasnt going to invest into anything for poshmark as i really only sell things from my personal closet but i finally bit the bullet and got one to brighten up my pics. Great advice to relist items, i think i'll end up doing that when i update all the pictures. I dont know if ill be able to relist or list things everyday as i work full time but i share my items several times a day and am going to work on increasing that.
I watched your previous video and I made a comment about discount. Since you mentioned about it again, I copied my comment and I want to make it available here. I don't think the discount is a good thing for item that is $20 or lower and here is why: This is what happens when you offer a 10% discount to someone who clicked “Like”: Let’s use this scenario: You want to resale an item that costs you for example ($3.78). It’s a great item, brand name and mint condition. Based on the sold items, you believe you can sale it for $16.00. Poshmark will take 20% of your sale, ($3.20) so you have the total good cost of your item $6.98 and your profit will be $9.02. If you offer 10% to someone who liked your item, the price instead of $16.00 will be $14.40 and Poshmark fee is lower $2.95 (because as you know, it’s under $15). However, if you offer a $4.99 shipping, you will pay $2.12 for that (I am considering the current $7.11 shipping cost). It means that your total good cost now is: ($3.78 item) + (2.95 - PM Fee) + (2.12 - Shipping cost difference) = $8.85. $14.40 (price) - $8.85 (total good cost), your profit is $5.55. ($3.37 less in your pocket without discount) In other words, your “10% discount” means you left on the table 17%. (From 56% your initial profit margin, is now 39%).
Totally! Thanks for doing that. I replied to that comment so I will copy my response here as well: Yep! That’s why I always inflate the listing price to account for offers 😊 I made 22.4% of all sales using Offers to Likers in 2020. That’s more than any other strategy. But ultimately it’s all about what you prefer and what works best for you! 💕
Omg thank you sooo much for that safari tip!! I KNEW I’d find a gem just listening to your video! Only less than 5 minutes into your video & am so grateful for you! 🙏🏼
Hannah, thank you so much for all of your helpful Poshmark videos (and interesting experiments)! They've been super valuable to me as I recently started using the platform more.
I loved this video! Would like to see videos on running a sale & need some advice on what to do if I’ve marked my prices so low, I can’t go lower without giving it away for free.
I am SO happy I found your channel. I recently started a Poshmark, and I have already sold two things there, but I'm so excited to learn these new tips!
Yeah I think the problem with my closet at the moment I'm selling things too low so I can't really offer discounts that isn't going to make me money. These are preloved items and I hadn't had any clue how to do this prior so please don't judge me haha
I just started a Poshmark closet, too! So much on Poshmark is preloved but you don’t have to undercut your earnings just because the item is presented. Be sure to check the comps on the item! I highly recommend watching the rest of Hannah’s videos. They are SO helpful! I’ve watched most of her Poshmark videos more than once (some even more than twice!) to help me learn how to check comps to find the best price for listings, for tips when creating listings, and for tricks for sending offers. So helpful because Poshmark is a huge learning curve! But you’ve got this! 🖤
You know. I have tried EVERYTHING with offers. Nothing works for me!! I don't know what else I can Do. And closet Clearout...I don't ever bother with that.
My tags are all different depending on what the item is, but you’re more than welcome to go check out my listings for some specific examples! For example I have a different set of tags for athletic wear, jeans, sweaters, etc. Too much to list here! 💛
hey should i accept sales where they tell me they’ll mail me a check lol? it sounds very sketchy or is it normal? i’m a new seller & i have no clue if that’s what everyone usually does or if i should avoid it at all costs let me know :(
Hi - what about if I want to send the same bundle offer to more than one Liker at the same time? IE if four people like one item - the same item - and then I add a couple similar items to the bundle so I’ve created a bundle of three items, do I have to do the bundle over and over again for each liker or can I send all of the Likers the same bundle easily? Thank you
New to your channel, I have numerous ebay sales but branching out into poshmark and etsy. Did you do a video on how to run sales (i.e. 2 for 20 sale). If so could you give me the link. I am very discouraged with my anemic poshmark sales and want to learn as much as I can to at least get my posh sales to 10% of my monthly ebay sales. Thanks
Hello Hannah! I’m finding your videos extremely helpful. Thank you! I’m getting ready to start reselling on posh. When you are sending an offer that includes a shipping discount or free shipping, does get factored in on the sale price? Example if I’m selling an item for 30 and I waive the shipping ($7.11) I will now be selling that item for $22.89 correct?
Thanks for watching, I'm so happy they've been helpful! Yes, when you include a shipping discount, you (as the seller) will be covering that cost. If you're sending an offer with free shipping, the buyer will receive an offer that says "$30 + free shipping" rather than an offer for $22.89. Does this help?
Hey how you guys doing I got a question during a party is there anyway to select more than one item at a time to share for the party please help thanks
What do you think about using online photos of items? I like to google the things I have, especially clothing so people can see what it looks like on a body, along with having photos of the actual item, but I don't know if I should use the google image as the main photo or not. edit** also, I don't want to model the clothes myself because most of the stuff Im selling looks bad on me.
Hi Jamie! Great question. I completely agree that it is helpful for buyers to be able to see the clothing being worn, and I actually model all of the clothing in my closet so the first photo on the listing is of me wearing it. I do occasionally use stock photos if I can find them online, but usually only if I am unable to model the clothing myself because of a size difference. From my understanding, Poshmark themselves won’t take any action against you for using stock photos in your listings, but the brand companies themselves might. I have never heard of this happening (I think the likelihood of this happening is extremely rare) but it is definitely possible because legally, those photos belong to the company that took them and they could theoretically take action if you use them without permission. I would say this is an “at your own risk” kind of situation. Many people choose to use a mannequin as a way to show the clothing “on” without using a stock photo or modeling it themselves. Hope this helps!
As a buyer, I'm not a big fan of stock photos. Recently looking at a bag and all the photos were stock so I passed, immediately. Even when new with tag, I want pics of exactly what I'm buying. 😊
@@helenbaysinger411 Completely agree! If you’re going to use stock photos, it’s definitely necessary to have several photos of the actual item within the listing itself.
can we use flat rate boxes? and envelopes? i heard in some videos that you could only use boxes that say “mailing box” and i’m so confused, cuz flat rate costs shipping but a lot of other videos use flat rate boxes and envelopes, like “priority mail, medium flat rate box”. can i use that for shipping and i won’t have to pay for it?
Hey! Poshmark’s labels are prepaid and approved for Priority Mail so yes, you can use priority flat rate boxes or envelopes to ship any Poshmark items 😊
There isn’t a messaging system on Poshmark, but you can leave a comment on their bundle as a way to get around that! You can leave comments back and forth to communicate.
Girl , you will go far, I absolutely love your personality & style! Thank you for getting straight to the point
Thank you Amy! Being clear and concise in these types of videos is a huge goal of mine so I appreciate you saying that! ❤️

I have come up with the exact same ideas about the offer to likers situation, so this was very validating! Great video. Thanks :)
I'd love to see videos on running sales and CCO strategy. These are things I definitely don't utilize. Your tip on OTL timing was very helpful!
Sarah Smith I have a CCO video up now! And a video about sales coming soon 😊
@@HannahAlonzo hey Hannah! What’s the video called? Can’t find it! Thank you 😊
Called something like “using closet clear out to promote sales”! Also in the Poshmark video playlist on my channel 😊

Poshmark is so slow. I list over 10 items a day & no offers. Crickets. My phone just beeps all day from followers. Its Irritating. I dont get it.
Mine has been insanely slow too all of November and December. I’m not sure why!
All great tips! Reasonable and without bs gimmicks, like the “30 minute method”..
Audrey Thank you! The 30 minute method is soooo funny to me. Never tried it, but I’m 99% sure it doesn’t work 😂

How do you share everything all at once in your closet?
Do you delete things that have sold or do you leave them in your closet?
You aren’t able to edit or delete listings that have sold, so they just stay at the very bottom of my closet 😊
