I'm very new to Poshmark but not for online sales. I've been selling online for over 20 years and since 2011 have been selling my own designs on clothing and home goods. My must haves are a postage (kitchen scale), free priority boxes for the heavier or breakable items. Soft home decor and clothing I use clear t shirt bags and put them in cute poly mailers. I add my business cards with a small gift (right now it's a koozie) and put a thank you sticker on the box/bag. I would absolutely LOVE to have a dymo label printer, but for now I have a cheap black and white laser printer. I print out labels on.. well, labels lol. Purchased online I get 2 labels from a 8.5" x 11 sheet with adhesive I can just print and slap on the package. I don't drop packages off at the post office. My postman picks them up on my porch. He does know that I'm probably going to have something for him every day but I do try to schedule a pickup online, which is free if they pick it up during the regular time they deliver the mail. Hope this helps someone! Adding that since these are my own (or purchased) designs, I can use mockups for more attractive photos.
I’ve been selling on poshmark part time for 3 years and I’ve gotta day the label printer is almost a must. Eliminates the need to purchase ink (as stated in the video gets expensive in the long run), paper, extra tape... do yourself a fave and buy one, it’s a game changer!
Hi Hannah! Those extra large bread bags you showcased are the best!! So affordable and much cuter than ziplock. I tie mine with yarn up top. I then write a thank you note and put it in my cat print poly mailers. I learned about those Walmart bags from another video you had posted. I'm considering a mannequin, too. Love your videos! Thank you for all your good information. 😊
I'm running out of printer ink, so I just decided to order a thermal shipping label printer instead of ordering printer ink. I'm supposed to receive it on Monday. Fingers crossed that I can figure out how to install and it will save me time on cutting and taping regular paper labels on boxes.
A thermal printer definitely change the game for me! It was such a hassle buying ink and paper all the time! Plus, on Amazon I bought 1000 labels for so cheap! Worth it!
@@HannahAlonzo I received and set it up this evening. It works great so far! I bought a less expensive model from Amazon called Phomemo label printer Model pm-246. It was $110...and I also had to buy a USB to USC adapter for it work with my MacAir, and that was another $7. It's way too soon to know if I can truly recommend the unit, but the print quality is decent (so far) and the set up was relatively easy.
thermal printer is on my list for sure! For lighting in the beginning I used a cheep bathroom vanity light bar fixture but did not affix it on a wall instead I just attached it to a plug-in wire and and it became a portable bar of six light bulbs. I made sure to get cool white bulbs as opposed to warm white that looks yellow. Not the safest because you could definitely burn yourself if you ended up touching the bulbs while they were on. But it cost me like $30-40 and was a big light source!
I'm not even selling currently. Between kids and we just had covid... i have had too muxh on my plate. Your videos are just enjoyable. You could totally do full time youtube.
Wow, what a compliment! Thank you for watching and for always leaving the most thoughtful and kind comments ❤️ I appreciate you and hope your family is feeling better!
Ho There Hanna..I am new to your channel. I find your video very simple, direct and very helpful. I am new to online reselling and wanting to my resell to grow and am here hehehehe.... Thanks for sharing this.
I LOVE watching your videos because you explain everything so well and it’s in order!!! That’s a sign of a GREAT teacher!! Your videos will help new or beginner resellers. All the tools you mentioned are essentials for reselling. Hannah, did you use your address or a P.O. Box for Poshmark?
Is your separate bank account a business checking account or just a separate regular checking account? I was looking into business checking but you need a DBA or EIN and I'm not quite there yet.
Hi hon, I have a rack, but bought it for me Can’t remember the brand Is there a brand you can recommend I am having fun and have had 8 sales in my first days… Thank you for being so generous with information Have a nice nite Ana Sophia

I love your videos Hannah! I especially love the experiment ones, I’m a statistics geek too 😍 Just to let you know, I went to follow you on Posh but you put your name up wrong in the video 🤣 Finally found you @hannahscloset12 instead of @hannahsposhcloset12 Just incase anyone else was trying to find you! 😘
Thank you for watching Rachael! 🥰 Haha yeah “hannahscloset12” was taken on Instagram so I had to throw the “posh” in there 😂 All of my accounts are linked in the description of all of my videos too!
Coming from a financial background, I am amazed how sellers do not account for things like milage and expenses dedicated to areas of houses used solely for reselling. Also you can hire your kids and pay them, even 7 year olds. You can then take their earnings and open a Roth IRA for them. As long as it is earned income, there is no age limit. Think baby models or actors. There are so many tax deductions that you can take as long as you keep accurate records and have receipts. Starting in 2022, Poshmark will send everyone who made more than $600 as 1099k and also send one to the IRS. This is why you need to be able to take advantage of any deductions to lower your taxes. I hired my three sons when they were under 10 and opened Roth iras for them and now have nice nest eggs for retirement. They packaged things up for me, retrieved inventory. Steamed clothing, lint rolled, printed labels and even photographed. I paid them and they got to keep a percentage of their earnings and the rest I opened IRA accounts for them. They are now in their 20s and each already has over 100k for retirement. Now I just have to make sure when they get married they have prenups that excludes their iras just in case of divorce since retirement accounts can be split and considered marital property.
What are your reseller must-haves?? 🤩
A white faux fur rug to photograph smaller items.
a plain white wall or background
