As a fellow Poshmark reseller This is a really great video and I definitely agree. Some tips that I definitely use when sending OTL are I often send them after dinner time at night when people are out of work have put their kids to bed and are browsing online before bedtime. that is a great time furthermore Thursdays or Fridays and the 15th and the 30th of the month which are typically paydays are also really great days as well. I know when I’m Personally buying as I am hitting the like button is when I am the most interested and would have the impulse to buy. I appreciate offers from posh sellers. so that seems to be when my likers are most interested also and finally please never underestimate going into their bundle and having a personal conversation and connection with each person this goes such a long way towards making a sale. Also another amazing tip in determining the type of customer is check out their love notes as an indication of the type of items they buy what their budget might be and how recently they’ve purchased things that can really tell you a lot about their buying practices
Great insights into time of day and day of month! I also look into people's profiles to check buying habits, as well as what price they list any items they have. If their own list prices are on the lower end, I'm more likely to consider a lower offer from them, because I trust that they think that's the fair price. Vice versa, if they list high and send me low, I counter higher since I think they're lowballing me. I also consider how they communicate. If they use emojis and exclamation points in their love notes and/or meet the posher, I use them when reaching out for the sale. And vice versa.
Subscribed! Great info! I've learned that if you AT LEAST send out an offer, the buyer may not accept it in the time window, but will return days or weeks later offering the same price I offered earlier. I've had several sales this way!
I bundle every like and send out offers in 15 to 30 min. If I’m awake. Works for me. I have a 150 item closet and I also have time to do this. Everyone has to find what works best for them❤️ Love your videos. Thanks!!!
Super info Hanna! I love your experiments! I've been doing every possible combination to OTL... and this month I've sending offers between 3 to 5 hours after the like... 12 hours top! And I really see a difference in sales... I like your system: Like>Bundle>Message>Offer... thanks!! 😊
Love your experiments! I wish you would test the strategy of sending an offer within 5-10 minutes of the like. I have an impression that that's currently the most popular strategy in the resellers community.
Maybe this can be an experiment of its own in the future! I didn’t include it in this one because I know a lot of people who watch my videos are part-time resellers who may work full time jobs and might not have the time to send offers that quickly. But I agree that it would be interesting to test out! Thanks for watching ❤️
Love you, your videos, and your experiments, so triple homerun 😁💕 I've only been subscribed for around a week and have been watching through all of your videos as time allows. I love your experiments and videos! The results validated what I thought worked best. I find that sending offers every 1st and 15th of the month also is very effective but also sending offers on a daily basis of course! ☺️
Personally I send OTL anywhere from an hour to 3 hours after someone has liked an item (exactly as you do with 20% and the discounted shipping). I very much agree with what you said about impulse buys and also just someone remembering what it was they "liked"in the first place. I definitely do not want to come off as desperate or pushy and I also want to give the potential buyer some breathing room and browsing time. Maybe they are still looking and might like more items in which case I will bundle their likes for them and send an offer that way. It also gives the potential buyer the opportunity to actually look at the listing photos and read the copy to make sure the item is right for them and then unlike it if they find something about it that doesn't work for them. Overall - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but that's a strategy and schedule that works for me and is now built into my day.
Fantastic video! I feel like I’ve tried everything as well and still go back and forth on what strategies are best. I do a tiered progressive weekly system and so far fingers crossed it does the job💕

Hey Hannah, loved this video as a new reseller. Personally I never like an item I’m not intending to buy at some point. Usually I like something that I am willing to pay full asking price for but I want to see if a seller may send me a better offer first. Lastly, if you see this I absolutely love the sweater you are wearing, I’ve seen it in a couple of your videos. What brand is it?? I’d like to try to find it for myself. Thanks!
I have a question, fairly basic. What is the quickest way to know what your last offer was so that you know what the 10% needs to be for your next offer? Terry Caron
You can also send an offer without a shipping break by clicking on the buyers id, then the little shopping bag, then switch to sell view, then adding to their bundle making an offer.
Yeah, you totally can! I factor the shipping discount into my pricing and I choose to always include it, but lots of people love to use that little trick as well! 😊

Hi! Thank you for the video and congratulations on your teaching certificate! I really think you'll be great at that. I was wondering if you have a policy on newly posted items. If you list something and an hour later it gets Liked, do you send an offer to try to take the money and run (or accept an immediate offer), or leave it up at full price for a week, two, thirty days? Just to see if it will sell full price. Also, maybe you have already done it, but I would love a video that really explained bundles in depth. I think I know what they are but I'm really fuzzy on the technical aspects and strategies for using them. For example, Why set up a bundle with one item? Is that an invitation for them to add more things to the shipping that they are paying, or is that necessary in order to apply a discount, or something else? Etc. I suspect there is a *lot* of possibilities for a seller to work with that I'm probably missing out on.
To answer one of your questions, if you use a bundle to send the buyer an offer, you sometimes have the option to NOT give a shipping discount. When you send an offer to likers directly, it must include a shipping discount.
Also, starting a bundle for them allows you to send them a message specifically about the items in the bundle. And when you start a bundle, you're sending the offer to a specific person instead of everyone who liked the item.
Thank you Hannah! Love your experiments and videos. Apologies if this has already been done, but I would LOVE a video that focuses just on strategies to close sales on bundles. Do you leave a certain message when people build bundles? Do you send a certain % off on bundles? I'm looking for any tips that you can provide on how to best approach bundles. Thank you!!
That person sounds a little looney - I hope you blocked her. My feeling is that people like things because they want to see what kind of offer they will get. I'm sorry if you touched on this and I just missed or am very confused lol. When you sent offers twice a day, is it an offer for the same item to the same people? If so, are you just increasing the discount amount with the second offer?
That’s a good clarifying question! So I’m not sending two different offers to the same people each day, I just try not to let more than 12 hours go by without new likers getting an offer. Hope that makes sense! ❤️
Thank you for responding. Just one more clarification. When you send out the second offer to likers, does poshmark automatically only send it to the new likers or do you have to do that manually?
It’s automatic! Likers will never receive the same offer twice. So if I sent 20% off + $4.99 shipping in the morning, they won’t get that same offer again in the evening (or any other time in the future) when I’m sending it to the next group of likers
First up - love your content and appreciate the effort you put into each experiment and video. Thank you! Secondly, I have a second level data question...I’d be interested to know if you saw an increase in offers you received when you weren’t sending out offers as often? I’m wondering if the overall effect is minimal between 1x and 2x daily - if someone really wants your item they’ll work with your offer, or send one themselves. Great question! I always send it through OTL just to ensure that all likers get the offer! I did it through the bundle for a while but I found myself accidentally skipping over or forgetting some of the likers 😕
LOL the buyer (or not buyer I guess) that got mad at getting an offer! Does she not know she gets a shipping discount if the seller sends the offer? They clearly don't get the culture of Posh if that much ticks them off, lol!
