So much work and thought was put into this video, Hannah! You always go above and beyond for your Poshmark experiments and I love it so much!! Thank you, I rlly wish u would post more in a week😊❤️
So glad you enjoyed! I would love to post more too. I love doing Posh experiments but these videos just take so much time to put together! Maybe in the future I can work out some better time management and post a little more 😅
The best content I’ve seen about Poshmark so far! You put into words assumptions I’ve made about followers for years. Beyond symbolizing validity, they don’t matter. I stopped actively following others after 100K and sales have been stable.
Hannah, this was a very informative video. I had cut way back on following because I felt like it was a total waste of my valuable time. Your experiment only validated my feelings so I can go forward not worrying so much of about the follows. Thanks
LOVE your empirical approach and detailed explanation! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into... well... showing us what NOT to put time and effort into! I truly appreciate it and hope you will continue making this kind of content.
I honestly love every video you have uploaded. So much respect for you and the TIME I know you put into these experiments! Thanks for all of the great information! It truly does help with those “what if” questions everyone wants to know but doesn’t have time to figure out! Looking forward to watching your channel grow even further, you definitely deserve it. 🙂
This is so kind of you to say Maryssa, thank you! Yes, it’s a ton of time and effort and work, but I genuinely love making these videos to uncover all the unknowns of Poshmark and hopefully help others out in the process. I appreciate you watching! ❤️
I did a similar experiment on my channel a year ago. I found a serial follower and followed everyone who was following them (knowing I’d get more followers that way). I only followed for maybe 20 mins and made 2 full price sales and 1 - 10% off sale which was way out of the ordinary for me. Thanks for sharing your experiment.
@Gor Jes I appreciated that video! I adopted that practice of following the followers of serial followers (haha-get that one out) and it has worked great! I only choose the initial serial follower if they follow at least 4-5 times the number of followers they have. It definitely has made a difference!
Just listening to how Poshmark operates gives me a headache. Knowing that some people are jumping through Poshmarks hoops, feels sad to me. This is time you will never get back in life.
Thank you for your poshmark videos! They are very informative and entertaining. Found your channel while searching packaging suggestions. New sub + following your closet!
I had an issue with likes and sales after something similar happened to me. I met my share limit one day and I went almost a week without a sale! I think getting suspended for 24 hours from sharing too much really messed things up for me! I’m back to normal now but it took a few weeks!
Thank you so much, I know this was a lot of work. I do appreciate it because it verified something that I have been wondering about for a while now. I always follow people who follow me first, however I don't go out searching for followers. I think I have enough work just trying to list & share my own items. Just today I had someone purchase an item from my closet & they were not following me or I them. Again, thanks for clarifying things.
Hannah I follow you last week in my other account. Thank you for sharing your experiment. Wait your spreadsheet too you are the answer. I didn't know that you can follow 10k and funny thing is that I only share couple items in my closet in the morning, afternoon and evening and scared of being ban if I overdue sharing my closet. Thank you for informative videos. You are the best.
It definitely depends on how you select accounts to follow... I personally have not found the highest success following new closets either. Targeted following takes a lot of time IMO, however following followers of large accounts yields a much larger return on followers- since those people have recently followed those large accounts you know 1) they are recently active, and 2) they are following accounts. Also, I find what I call "follow campaigns" yield better results over time, not just one day- I've heard over and over that it's related to Poshmark's algorithm, consistent behavior over time instead of one or two days is what yields best results on the platform. Hope that helps!
I’d love to take a look at your listings if you still do this. I just discovered your channel and I’m fairly new to Poshmark but I’ve found some awesome buys!
Very interesting. I follow 1000 ppl a day... it seems to make my closet more hopping and the app more active then when i havent. Honestly i hate it tho haha i might try your way of doing it.
I personally go to the new people and see who followed them, then I click on one of those people and if their “followers” numbers are pretty close to their “following” then I can assume that they follow mostly people who follow them back. I then go to their followers and follow all of them. I get so many followers like that.
Thank you! There is a little double arrow button at the bottom of each listing on Poshmark. You just click on that to share your listing and have it appear at the top of search results 😊
Thank you for doing and sharing this experiment. So awesome!! I’m new to Poshmark and I’ve been doing research so that I am ready to start posting in my closet and hopefully selling lol. I was curious about following people and if it helps etc so I do super appreciate this video you did. I noticed right when I made my account I got so many followers immediately, so I was curious if it would be worth it to take time out to follow them all back. I’ve decided to take your advice and follow those that like my items and or buy something from me. I will also be following people who post items I would be interested in buying. 😁
Great Video. My question is what do you do about thank you notes? Also, when you ship something do blackout your return address or do you use a different address? Thanks so much for your help.
Very interesting and analytic experiment! I'm wondering if you had fewer likes in the days after the experiment, since those folks just purchased the item without liking it? Did you happen to notice if that increase in sales was from likers or non-likers? I love making videos on poshmark strategies! This is a good one :)
That’s a great question! All 6 of the sales made prior to the experiment were from likers, and 9 of the 10 sales made after the experiment were from likers. So 15/16 sales during those two weeks came from people who weren’t following me, but who liked something!
The only thing that helps me sell is listing consistently every day or at least 5 days and at least 5 to 10 items a day. I never share anyone’s closet and stopped following people like I did when I first started on Poshmark 2 years ago. I will share my closet maybe 1 to 2x a day. I make sales consistently
I have an interesting idea for an experiment - however it might be detrimental to your closet so I'm not going to actually ask you to do it....just saying it would be interesting. So some say that Listing is essential in pleasing the Poshmark algorithm and if you don't list then sales lag. I can say that when I've taken breaks in listing new items I have seen a lull in not only sales but general activity (likes on items, offers or counter offers etc - stuff that matters). It would be cool to see if you went for some set length of time with out listing anything new how that would correlate to sales in comparison to times when you were actively listing at least one new item or more per day.
Since a move away from all my inventory to help a family member who’s sick I’ve had to scramble to find good sales on posh but I have like 60000 followers so I was trying to figure how to use all the fallows to generate $ with Pinterest links or Mabey backing up a fellow poshers party
Yeah! That happens to me occasionally too. I haven’t paid much attention to those notifications in the past. I haven’t been able to draw any connection between people sharing my listings on Twitter and making any sales
I just started the switch from selling hard goods (mostly toys) on mercari and dabbling in flipping clothes on poshmark, and I feel like I'm failing, dramatically, how do you stay motivated on no sales days. . . Or weeks. If I wasn't still flipping toys my accounts would be totally stagnant 🙄 id give up but then id be stuck with a bunch of clothes. Lol
Followers are weird. I was on vacation hold for a while and im still getting followers. No likes either so idk how the turnover will be in terms of sales. 🤷🏽♀️
Are you a Poshmark ambassador? Because new users are automatically set to follow ~140 people as soon as they create their account and the people they are assigned to follow are usually Poshmark ambassadors! I’m on the same page, I get followers all day every day without any effort. Which unfortunately makes me feel like they aren’t that significant
I get sales if I follow new users but it’s not something I make time for... My hypothesis is that they don’t have a full feed yet so will click on your username out of curiosity.
Ive been on posh off and on since 2912 and literally nothing matters except having something someone wants in the price range they are looking for.

You’re so kind! Glad you’ve enjoyed them! 🥰
Wau!!!!! Just 2 percent followed you back, I can't believe it. I had this question in mind, and I found you on youtube. Thank you for this video!

Ahh thank you! I love making videos on them! 🥰
Love your videos! You have so much great information in your experiments! Thanks for sharing!!
I really loved your video? It was really thorough. Well done.
Great experiment! I love the data you share and teach from!
Thank you for your priceless time and information! You are the real deal!!!!🙌♥️
You’re too sweet, thank you for watching! I love making these videos ❤️
This was very informative. Thank you!
This was so informative! I was actually very surprised at your results! Thanks so much for sharing 😊
This was an extremely well done video. I think it’s very interesting what you found. It was the first video I found for you.
Thank you for watching! 🥰

Great job, thanks. It's gong to save me a bunch of time and effort. I'll focus on a certain audience when I set about Following. Cheers!
Great info and you are so sincere and real. Keep it up.
It would be interesting to know if sales increase over the next few months.
GIRL. You’re amazing! I so appreciate all the time and effort you put into making your videos! New subscriber here 🙌🏼👯♀️🎉
Aww thank you for watching! 🤩
Hannah , thanks for your experiments. You are our researcher! Hopefully you’ll get to crack sales in Poshmark.
Haha I sure am working on it! ❤️
It won't stop for me.

I've been asked if I was a bot....I had to choose fire hydrants!
Haha yes! This has happened to me on a desktop before, but never on the app itself!
You rock ! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you 🥰
You are amazing!
Really interesting data results, thanks.
Very interesting. I follow 1000 ppl a day... it seems to make my closet more hopping and the app more active then when i havent. Honestly i hate it tho haha i might try your way of doing it.
I love your experiments! This information is so helpful. I don't care about followers either.
Thanks for watching Leslie!

Ooh that’s a really interesting strategy! That seems like you’d have a higher follow-back rate doing that!
Love your video. How do you share on Poshmark? Can’t figure it.

I'm just a consumer that has been on Poshmark maybe a couple months and I have almost $4,000 followers and I do not understand why
Great information! New sub
Thanks for watching Victoria! 🥰
Great experiment!
Thanks for that. I have my conclusion though I had a feeling that’s the case. Poshmark has been a waste of time for the most part.
The only thing that helps me sell is listing consistently every day or at least 5 days and at least 5 to 10 items a day. I’m curious what like say 10000 poshmark fallowERs is equal to in like a platform that fallowers means $

i followed 5,000 in one day, but most of them never followed me back lol.
Thanks for the great experiment. I only follow targeted potential customers by brand, style and size.
haha, I see there are two thumbs down for this video at this time. I wonder who that is?
