Vista was a way better better than xp -WIM installation -Readyboost -EFI Support -64bit real version, unlike emulated SysWOW64 shell in predecessor -Aero -Flip 3D And if someone had a good PC in 2007 he could Vista's 100% abilities :)

Longhorn was the codename for Windows Vista. A codename is given to a product in development before the product is given the name appears on store shelves.
I have them all also in a Virtualbox VM! I only use the last versions, so Windows 1.04 instead of 1.01. Dell made me switch to Linux (Ubuntu), after selling me a new Dell laptop in 2008 with Windows Vista and a slow 160GB HDD (40MB/s). The only Windows I still use weekly is the Windows XP Home VM, I use it to play the wma copies of my CDs and LPs with WoW and TrueBass effects :) That VM has been installed and activated in March 2010, the time that Sun owned Virtualbox. The other Windows I still remember fondly was Windows for Workgroups 3.11 with home networking and Internet connectivity. Except the GUI improvements of Windows 95, Windows for Workgroups 3.11 had already all new technical improvements, that most people detected for the first time in Windows 95. And I never forget 3.11's dual pane file manager :)
I had a 386-40. Running Windows 3.11. That was the best. Before the pentium came out, I stayed with 3.11 windows just because. Lots of friends with the 486's and then the pentium. Which is 586. But the 386-40 overclocked as much as I could. Now I cant find a windows to run my old age of empires. I loved that game. Most all of them. Started with an 8088 processor, first ibm I think. I wish I had kept that one. Had a commodore 128 before that ibm 8088. 1983 i think.
