Windows XP and Windows 7 are legendary in Microsoft Windows' history. I miss my childhood on the former. It's the longest support for Windows XP in 13 years.
Windows 1.0 - the beginning Windows 95 - the world changer Windows XP - the nostalgia Windows 7 - the best Windows 8 - the worst Windows 8.1 - the underrated Windows 9 - the non existent Windows 10 - the most advanced
Windows 3.0 - the best. Windows 7 - the last step forward. Windows 8, 10 - steps backwards, back to 16 color icons, uglier than even Windows 95, to be able to run on a phone.
Couldn't have put that better! Every Windows till the XP - which was best - was harmonic, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to use with natural intuition. Since 7 everything has become more scrambled, looking cluttered and less intuitive to distinguish visible parts from each other and per their functionality. Always even after regular years of use it feels like brain is needing to do hard work all the time to have even the simplest things done (and it actually is exactly what is happening - heavier subconscious work to build clear thinkings from cluttered observations). XP and earlier ones really feel like a nature walk everytime I do anything with them.
Yeah, I know a lot of people on here have nostalgia for XP, but 95 was truly the most revolutionary of all of them. When you look at the prior version (Windows 3.1), it does not resemble modern Windows very much. But when you look at Windows 95, it is basically the same as the current version of Windows as far as the layout goes, just not as pretty. When you compare Windows 95 to the other OS’s at the time (it would be 6 years before Apple released OS X), it was way ahead of its time.
My first was Windows 95. THE MEMORIES. Wow. The freaking memories.. We had that thing all the way into 2006 or something. It was mostly mine because I used it the most, but of course it was mom who owned it. The next one we got was Windows XP, on an HP computer.

Yes, I loved all. Windows Longhorn, Windows XP, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows Millenium Edition, Windows 4.0 Workstation, Windows 10, and others. All Windows'es are a the best things. Nostalgia and good feelings.
Agreed, Windows XP was the most popular because it was so simple to use. Now you have damn Windows 10 and I don't even know how the fuck I change language. Took me 40 minutes to change the fucking language.
I have to admit the Windows '95 part made me a bit sad. A good friend of mine that I've know for over 40 years (he died a month ago from cancer at 71) gave me the disks he had for '95 when he bought the CD. He showed me everything it could do over 3.1. I was still gaining knowledge about computers and totally amazed at the update of things .
My first pc (xt) has dos 5.0 and windows 3.1. 386 (sx/dx) had 95, but it just 33 Mb on HD, and install packaged in floppy. The 44 Mb version of 95 and 98/SE had my 486 (sx/dx/dx2/dx4) Pentium I at 133 Mhz was more powerfull for 2000. I dont like ME because it have driver compatibility problems. XP was the best for long time, and Windows Longhorn (PRE Vista) Windows Vista Longhorn was unfrendly for hardvers. Needed more ram, and some stuff. It deeded like Atomreactor. :) Windows 7.... 10 years, men i was old like Win7, but i think Win7 is best for all, in this days. I dont like Win8/8.1/10 but Win7 will be end.

My favorite one was is and always will be Windows Vista! I don't care what others say but I loved her. She was beautiful and flawless to me. I'm UI designer and I care about UI too much and in that time when I saw Vista first I said "WOW!". I love windows XP as well. Reminds me of my sweet childhood and Harry Potter. :D
Windows 98 and 98 Second Edition had it all, the best operating system of the time, nothing could compare to it. Then other new systems took the position as the best of all time such as the unforgettable Windows XP & Windows 7. Windows 10 the best modern operating system from Microsoft ever known and Windows 11 which is still trying to fit in the position as one of the best. Excellent video 👍🏽

This was a really fun video to watch :) and actually, it quite amazed me- I'm a 62 year old grandmother who works online for a building permit monitor company, and I do data entry onto my little Toshiba Netbook using XP ;) in 2009 I purchased a beautiful, full-size Toshiba laptop (which lasted me about seven or eight years), and it had Vista on it- I absolutely loved my laptop and Vista- I didn't seem to have the problems with it that a lot of people had, so I was sad to see it go ;,( I have not used an operating system since then past Windows Vista- I'm about ready to purchase another Netbook as a backup with Windows 7 on it, but I actually started on computers back in 1996 for a private homeschooling Co-op, and they used Windows 95- I started computing with Windows 95 with a very archaic desktop computer with a monitor, lol, so according to a lot of these comments, I'm a legend, lol :)
Windows 3.0 was the first one I used. Feels so primitive right now, but it was a big jump from those of us who came from a DOS 5.0 OS. It was the first truly wide available windows OS from Microsoft. It seems 1.0 and 2.0 caught on mostly in places like Japan, but DOS was king elsewhere.
Mine too, I was a newbie and it was running on a 486 DX2 66Mhz with 4Mb RAM. Start menu used to take 10s to open after clicking. I had been screwed by the computer shop, 8MB were necessary.

@@jandjp9 Unfortunately not. Yeah you can remove a small portion of it, but even if you have every single disablable and removable feature disabled and removed, the core OS still hogs way too much RAM and CPU. WAY more than XP, not to even mention older releases, which even with ALL features enabled and installed took way less resources than the stripped-down 7.

This was a really fun video to watch :) and actually, it quite amazed me- I'm a 62 year old grandmother who works online for a building permit monitor company, and I do data entry onto my little Toshiba Netbook using XP ;)
in 2009 I purchased a beautiful, full-size Toshiba laptop (which lasted me about seven or eight years), and it had Vista on it- I absolutely loved my laptop and Vista- I didn't seem to have the problems with it that a lot of people had, so I was sad to see it go
;,(
I have not used an operating system since then past Windows Vista-
I'm about ready to purchase another Netbook as a backup with Windows 7 on it, but I actually started on computers back in 1996 for a private homeschooling Co-op, and they used Windows 95- I started computing with Windows 95 with a very archaic desktop computer with a monitor, lol, so according to a lot of these comments, I'm a legend, lol :)
