    great video, and having gone from a Tacoma to an F-150 I totally relate to pretty much everything you're saying here about the size of the interior and so forth. I also had a similar concern about the gas cap (or lack thereof) on my 2018 F-150, but as I understand it from the "experts" in the F-150 groups I'm part of on facebook, there are internal baffles that prevent siphoning out of the fill tube, so it might be the same on your truck. As I understand it people find it much easier just to drill a hole in the gas tank to steal gas out of the F-150, in which case I'd prefer they just siphoned it out!

      Good to know about the possibility that it has some protections. Not sure if that is cost cutting or over engineering either way it is aggravating! Thanks for checking out the content!! I appreciate you.

    Interesting...I like my 2022 Colorado and find everything you hate about your truck does not bother me at all and by the way I am getting 22 - 24 mpg city and highway driving combined. I think the Colorado is a great midsize truck. I feel if you hate it as much as your video states, you should probably find something else to drive.

      Hey thanks for commenting and checking out the video. I got the truck as a consolation because I did a msrp swap with Chevy corporate. I had a Chevy bolt ev that was a lemon as well as being recalled. I was going to get one of the new EUV models and they did a stop sale on them the day before I was to pick up my car. I chose the z71 because of the strong bones of the truck and the high resale values of these 4x4’s durning the pandemic. I do like the truck it just has a few areas that I did not realize were shortcomings. All in all a good platform. And I sold it for a profit. Onto the next vehicle

    I’ve driven trucks all my life. The Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon are two of the best trucks on the road. I’ve owned full sized Silverado and Sierra. The gas mileage on the Canyon and Colorado are 8-10 miles per gallon better than their full-sized counterparts.

    I have a 2022 Z71. I get 19.2 mpg over the 11,000 mi on it.
    I haven't noticed any issues with slow speed shifting.
    I don't like having a gas fill door without a cap either.
    I care more about reliability and basics.
    I've been quite happy with mine so far.

    I have a 2022 Redline V6 3.6 crew cab 4x4 LT. I've already raised it 2" in front 1" in back. It came with factory step bars that look like your N fab steps. It has factory bed liner and tow package. I took off the tires like yours and put on Duratracs. I get 21 around town and the best I've got is 28.6 on the hiway with air dam removed. I've always drove Silverado, I traded my 2018 Z71 for this. The Colorado gets way better gas mileage. My 5.3 Silverado average was 14 around town and maybe 18 hiway. The Colorado has more leg room than Silverado. I'm 6'4 and I have plenty of room. The 3.6 is a little race motor! I get great mileage even putting your foot in it. Yes not a lot of inside storage but enough. Put on a bed cover and you'll have more. Hate to burst your bubble but the Silverado doesn't have much more inside storage and has a 5.7 long bed and Colorado is 5.4 long. So your arguments have no merit. Colorado is a great little truck!

    In the state of California they have the most extreme regulations on vehicle emissions. That truck since it was bought in California won't get nearly the fuel mileage as Colorado's sold say in the Midwest. Your vehicle needs to breathe more, imagine if you were forced to breath from a small straw, it's the same principle on California's emission regulations. It's not just the Colorado it's every vehicle in that state from 2012 on.

    It would be hard to steal gas because there are baffles in the tank but if someone really did want to steal gas ,with a locked door, they would just bust the door open or go under the truck.
    I think the Colorado is a better looking truck than the other trucks in it's class.

  • @realChewky
    @realChewky 8 месяцев назад

    Agreed about everything. My 2023 just had a recall for unwarranted automatic braking aka phantom braking. The truck freaks out occasionally even though the car in front of me is 30 yards away and we are going 30 mph. Sometimes at stoplights it decides to not drive at green. It just sits there for a few lights with a clearly running motor, then, unexplainably, releases the brake.

    My seat heaters come on with remote start in my 2019 Bison if the outside temp is below a certain degree(40?), just the lights don't light up, and you have to re-turn them on after you turn the key on. There is a setting in the infotainment center that allows the seat heater and rear defogger to come on with the remote start.

    You’re wrong about the GMC variant having hard plastic everywhere on the interior. I own one. The Canyon Elevation has a soft touch leatherette dash standard and leatherette with stitching accents on the door sills. The GMC is the more “upscale” version of the Chevy. Most of the features and amenities that are only available in the upper trim level of the Colorado are standard in the lower trim levels in the Canyon.

    Nice video. I can understand some of the things. I had a 2018 crew Z71. First off, the headlights absolutely suck. Dim as can be. The cup holders? The door ones yes were a joke. I do not know why they couldn’t afford another 6-8” of room in the crew cab back. That would have changed everything. With that space, add charging ports and venting. Bed wise? I was fine with. My lifestyle did not require a 6’ bed. Overall I learned a lot. I learned I do NOT need 4wd. Absolutely pointless for my lifestyle. I am looking forward to more info on the redesigned ‘23 Colorado. I may get one. 2wd Lt. I’m cautiously optimistic about the 2.7. Ty for the vid!
