Two fun small details about this DLC that i love (Though i love everything about it just as much as i love the base game);
When you look at any Owlk slide reels that show the Hearthian solar system, they seem to show that when the Owlk were alive and in this star system, The Dark Bramble had yet to destroy its host Ice Planet. Even the nomai weren't around that long ago.
Second detail is that when you open the door past the Hull Breach, if you jump, the force of the air escaping into space will actually carry you toward the hole in the hull.

The Nomai arrived at the solar system just as the planet was destroyed by the bramble seed, they got caught in the explosion

Yeah, the Nomai arrived very shortly after the prisoner turned off the blocker, but afaik we don't know how much time passed between the owlks arriving in the system and the prisoner shutting down the blocker.
@@4nto418 Although it's hard to determine their lifespan, we know that the signal was being sent before the Owlks blocked it. Since the Nomai specifically picked up the signal that was unblocked for a short period and never had picked up a signal like it, they definitely never picked up the signal before it was blocked. Meaning that at the time that signal was emmitted or could have been picked up the same way the other signal was picked up, they either didn't exist yet or didn't have the technology to pick it up. But we also don't know how far away the Nomai were and how fast the signal travelled. For all we know, it could have been thousands of years between these events.
I would say the most realistic theory is that the timespan between block the signal and shortly unblocking it must have been at least the amount of time for a civilzation to invent a radar as well as warp technology, and the timespan between unblocking and receiving the signal at least the amount of time it took for Dark Bramble to destroy it's host Ice Planet. Considering that the Stranger still worked after more than 200 000 years, it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that the total timespan between Owlks and Nomai living in the solar system would be similar to the timespan between the Nomai and the end of the solar system.
Hers are my favorite playthrough alongside about olivers, she is the most empathetic out of everyone and realized things like the owl simulation being not scary for them and the nomai child writing, basically all of the small details.
Melonz has such a tutorial voice, its weirdly relaxing!
Good voice, but the way they speak and end almost every sentence is tedious to listen to, like a slow questioning vocal fry. Even at double speed it's very noticeable.

Have not watched the entirety of this video yet, but from the other video I vastly appreciated she did not overreact on things like going through the black hole ports or when she opened the hatch on sun station.
1:30:30 FINALLY somebody realises that the place is not scary to them, THEY'RE OWLS!
On one hand, it would make sense why they made the artifact in the shape of a lantern (a way to shine in the dark).
On the other hand, remember that an entire loop is around 22 minutes. From their flashback movies, we know that they can easily live in daylight. It's just as likely that we just catch owlings at the weird time.

That's exactly what happens, yes.
If you go to the simulation near the end of the loop you can see it's near about to dawn when the reset happens.

I've never seen anyone else do such a great job describing the ending and its emotions, at least not so immediately after playing. And also peak voice acting that perfectly fits characters before even really getting to know them. Truly one of the best playthroughs I've seen.

I bought the bundle, so for me I found the DLC halfway through the game without realizing. Crazy incredible way to experience it without understanding the context of the eye and what it all means until after beating the DLC

I didn't realize the DLC was way easier in a previous update! There just aren't any owlfolk around the well in the Starlit Cove 1:33:22!
It wasn't! The Ghost birds will be there in all updates, but you can use time to your advantage.
Around the 21 minute mark, the tower that grants access to the Cove will fall, flooding the simulation room and turning off every Ghost bird's lantern, which makes it so they dissappear from the simulation
Normally this would also pull you out too, but if you access the cove from another point (i.e. the endless canyon) your light wont go out and youll be free to explore without the spooky birds
This is also a way to acces the archives on the forest, when you enter the music house there will be no ghost bird to stop you
