Hey Josh , love your videos, just found your channel a couple days ago and I am really impressed, buy the fact that you share so much information, for free. But that’s ok it’s still bringing in income. Love to thrift & sale. I’m finding that your everyday basic clothing item are jumping off the shelves because fewer people shop in stores now. I started reselling clothes on poshmark 6 months ago. Still learning a lot, but it's going well. Your videos are great and I'm hoping they'll help me warm up to eBay more.
So from watching your videos I think you said you started something like a year and a half ago, so you're a year ahead of me. Interesting to follow. Thanks for the content.
Good video. I feel like a jedi padawan and you are the master after seeing how much profit you are making on this stuff. For one, hard to believe someone is buying shorts this time of year. I didn't think bats would sell either. Good stuff
Thanks Josh. I discovered your channel by accident but definitely going to sub. It's awesome seeing others that do so well in the resell business but your personality really makes your channel stand out. Will be checking out all your videos over the next few weeks. Keep up the good work and make that money bro.
Very solid content... I like your fast talking right to the point style... Most of all your "real money", net profit break downs. Your camera set up was definitely worth it the picture clarity and audio are awesome.
Thank you for your videos; new subscriber. I am cleaning out my personal items; but, I ran out of items worth listing. I am very grateful for all You Tubers that share their knowledge. Went out to see what is available one day and realized that their is a learning curve to know what to look for and buy. I didn't buy anything; nothing caught my eye. Also, clothing is over; they are putting insane prices on clothing. A pair of motor cycle boots had a 60 dollar price tag. Pants were 16 dollars and sold for less on eBay. So I am looking for items that I can ship and will make a profit for a side gig. I do hope you have a great Year in sales and life.
I’ve been selling full time on eBay for 21 years now, I do as well now as I ever did. Of course eBay rules are worse for sellers now and I have to use PayPal which has their hand in my pocket I always use a 7 day auction and never stop an auction or take an offer I know what I sell but still you never know what something will sell for. I do know my things are usually at the top in completed auctions
Interesting. Thanks for commenting. I was wondering if anyone still does auctions still, as it seems to be a minority although most of the stuff featured is mundane clothes etc. I tend to think like you do, as I once threw on some linens that got $3500 and what if I'd accepted an offer for $100 - ya just never know.
I've had SOME luck but nothing like what he states. I wish I could find that good of stuff too. And I do but it's far and few between. Found a high end badminton racket sold for $100 that I paid $2 for. A luxurious womens hat for 125 I paid $1 for. But those are a handful of great stories in a lot of 5 to $10 profit things.

I give to Goodwill hoping I am helping someone with limited funds or down on their luck. Looking at people on Ebay exploiting my generosity makes me fell I should throw out the stuff. These vlogs are counter-helpful.
@@HairyTornado I want to give it to those who are downtrodden and can maybe buy something nice they could not otherwise afford. You make sure they do not get it. It is for them, not you.
Subscribed. Thanks for your information. I have been trying to make it on Ebay for the last year and half as my sole income. The freedom is nice. So far the money is below minium wage, but there are times when I do well, and the potential of of a business like this is huge. I liked you on Minute 2:33 and have not finished watching the video. I live in Northern Alabama, near Huntsville. Thanks.
Don't know if you are still in the game, buy some "poly mailers" in the size you require and always ship your 1 pound and below items First Class mail. It is usually faster than Priority and less expensive. If you purchase your shipping labels through Ebay(you should) you can add insurance to the postage as well if needed.
Thanks for the tips and the rundown of your sales. I just started selling on EBAY but I am mainly posting clothing. (My girlfriend is getting rid of A LOT of clothing YAY!!) I did find a piece of Hartmann Luggage which looked like a good deal. Camera looks great BTW. Peace.
Hi, 1st time visitor, I love your YT name. I have 2 VHS players, both are in great shape, and still working. I have alot of item that would probably sell on eBay, but have always been afraid to put them on. Maybe I guess, I'll not ask the right price for them. I don't want to just give them away. Love your channel, liked, subbed and hit the hairy bell. Your camera is of great quality.
Hi Josh awesome contents once again keep those video coming they are great tutorials would you mind in showing how you would package the golf bag for shipping... AKA Thrifty Picker....
nice video, I list a bunch of stuff and I haven't gotten a single sell in 3 months now, I'm still wondering what did I did wrong. And I have been a target to all the scammers on eBay.
I just stumbled onto your channel. Really enjoyed this. I've piddled around with ebay a few years ago and want to get back into reselling. I'm from Cottageville, SC. It's a small town with no sourcing options. Have to travel to Summerville to source. Good to see someone from SC on here.
Thank you for sharing your techniques. My wife is looking for a way to start earning money at home due to our daughter's age. Very helpful. Thanks again!!!!
I love thrifting...been to some one horse towns and found a lot of cool stuff. I was surprised at the traffic in this little store. I found a like new NFL logo comforter for $12.00 and was gonna flip it ...but this thing is not goin' nowhere. I love it.
Same. Sometimes they even want MORE than what the shit is worth smh. I think thrift stores have caught on though ans just trying to minimize the hustle.
Do you hit all of them once a week? I have 4 main ones that I get at least one item, also go to state sales. This is NOT a business strategy. It's extra cash.
Hairy, how many items do you list daily? I have plateaued with few listings per day, esp if I recently got a few sales; do I need to keep buying and listing in order to increase earnings? Tim
How do I research value of items? I re-sell things I buy myself, so I know what the resell value of say, a pair of converse, but the shorts you found, I wouldn’t know how much to ask for them...
From Canada here, I've been trying to have some listings up but the shipping from here to US/Canada is just too much. Still pushing for it as it would be a great side income, but shipping costs just kills your profit. Would love some advice on any Canadian here where they were able to make reselling work.
I bought stuff from the antique store for about four years but ended it a couple of years ago. I made some money from this but I didn't like using my money on stuff that I didn't know exactly how much I would get from it. I bought stuff in bulks and I would pay approximately $500 for two boxes full and get maybe $1500 or more (I never really calculated how much I would get back). These past years I've gotten stuff for free, without paying anything but my time or energy on this. My ads are free and I've made maybe $550 on a golf set, $60 on a rug and so forth. It's easier and better for me. I'm not saying not to pay for the items you are reselling, I'm just saying that there are other possibilities for those out there that dont necessarily have the money to buy the items they wish to resell to make money from. I guess it depends on where you live. I've been very lucky. It helps if you're outgoing, not shy, honest, kind and that you make friends. Good people are out there and if you open up to the right person there's no telling what kind of help you're gonna get.
Our Goodwills in NY/NJ is over charging. Any DVD/VCR combo is $24.99, DVD’s $4.99,video games start at $4.99 but I’ve seen them also $7.99 for PS4 and up to $14.99 for N64. They started Price gouging in the New York stores
Yep. That's why I don't live in places like that. Thrift store prices in conjunction with the cost of living makes it basically impossible to be a full time reseller there
Glad I made it to the end of the video as clothing is something I’m wanting to try and start reselling. I manage a dry cleaners and we have 13 stores in my city and my store is the location where everything we have that has been sitting for 1 year and not been picked up gets brought here and we either have the option to buy the items for the amount owed for the cleaning or they just end up donating it and getting a tax write off.. so I tend to buy anything nice, name brand and I’m good shape so I have no joke a ton of clothes bagged up at my house lol... everything from Micheal Kors button you dress shirts, Peter Millar Khaki dress pants all the way to women’s Formal dresses by Prada, Versace and much much more.. hell I even have a complete wedding set including a wedding dress, 3 bridesmaids dresses and 3 tuxedos (did have 4 but gave one to a buddy lol) and yes I paid more for them as the wedding dress cost right at $100 bucks 3rd party to be cleaned but I only have $8 bucks each tux and $7.45 in each dress. So I think I could make some decent money off them. But I don’t really like Poshmark and places like that so do you have any idea where I could sell everything
Poshmark is the easiest platform to use as far as listing. Ebay would probably give you the most money though. If you dont want to list, youncould send them in to thread up and they would buy them from you. You send a box of stuff to them and they buy what they like and send the rejects back to you. They like designer stuff though so that may be the best option for you
Hairy Tornado thank you for actually taking the time to read all of that lol most people wouldn’t have lol. Hell after writing it I realized I probably wouldn’t have read it myself lol.. but thank you if never heard of them so I’m gonna go do some research real quick!!! Thank you again brother! Love your channel and have already learned a ton!
If you can't believe a guy with antlers on his head who can you believe?

Thanks.
Thanks Dale! I appreciate it
Don't know if you are still in the game, buy some "poly mailers" in the size you require and always ship your 1 pound and below items First Class mail. It is usually faster than Priority and less expensive. If you purchase your shipping labels through Ebay(you should) you can add insurance to the postage as well if needed.
Selling on Ebay is my full time job so yes, I know about first class shipping.
Thanks!
Do you know ahead of time shipping cost and if so how or do you guess at it and sometimes make and little and sometimes loose a little?
I have done a video on my channel about how to ship a golf bag. But uhaul has a box called a sport utility box. It is $5.95 and works perfectly.
@@HairyTornado thanks for that information I will kept it in mind if I find some golf bags at my thrift store....
nice video, I list a bunch of stuff and I haven't gotten a single sell in 3 months now, I'm still wondering what did I did wrong. And I have been a target to all the scammers on eBay.
Great info. This video is AWESOME!
I just stumbled onto your channel. Really enjoyed this. I've piddled around with ebay a few years ago and want to get back into reselling. I'm from Cottageville, SC. It's a small town with no sourcing options. Have to travel to Summerville to source. Good to see someone from SC on here.
You could get into some wholesale options. Smaller margins but they could send the items right to your house
I learn so much from your video thanks
Thank you for sharing your techniques. My wife is looking for a way to start earning money at home due to our daughter's age. Very helpful. Thanks again!!!!
I wish my thrift stores had anything good at all, just literally overpriced garbage in my area.
I love thrifting...been to some one horse towns and found a lot of cool stuff. I was surprised at the traffic in this little store. I found a like new NFL logo comforter for $12.00 and was gonna flip it ...but this thing is not goin' nowhere. I love it.
Joel Emberson same issue I live in West Virginia 😂
Those people are dealers we have 4 that I NEVER go into.
Great Video, I definitely will be looking for some of the similar items you have listed, never knew they were worth so much, video was very helpful.
Hairy, how many items do you list daily?
I have plateaued with few listings per day, esp if I recently got a few sales; do I need to keep buying and listing in order to increase earnings?
Tim
first video i've seen of yours. thanks for the information!
Great video again, love when they pop up in my feed. This helps to get the wheels spinning 🤙
👆it actually an honor giving this guy the opportunity to prove how good he..s i recommend him also
Omg these Ralp lauren pants was a great find. I have something similar to this in Denim, but they are Boys shorts
Wonder if we could just focus on bat or golf stuffs?
How do I research value of items? I re-sell things I buy myself, so I know what the resell value of say, a pair of converse, but the shorts you found, I wouldn’t know how much to ask for them...
Great information on what to look for on high dollar items thanks Josh 👍👍
Good job. Interesting stuff.

From Canada here, I've been trying to have some listings up but the shipping from here to US/Canada is just too much. Still pushing for it as it would be a great side income, but shipping costs just kills your profit.
Would love some advice on any Canadian here where they were able to make reselling work.
Where do you find your packaging to ship items like bats and odd shaped items? Thanks...
USPS.com
Hey Josh can you do a video on what is good golf clubs to look for 😀
Great content 🙌🏽
I’m a first time viewer. New subscriber. Picture is perfect.
Thank you so much!
Same here. Really great job! Thank you so much for sharing all your insights😊
Great work!!! I been selling medical books.
Thanks for sharing this!💰👍
