Wootz steel from Threading Tap . Making Hidden Bamboo Knife

- In this video we will make wootz steel from threading tap. After the ingot, we will make a hidden bamboo knife . To make a wootz steel ingot, we needed old taps for threading, iron powder, graphite and glass. We place all this in our steel melting crucible and boil it at high temperatures for two hours. After forging our ingot into a blank for a knife. After hardening and metalworking of our blade, we make a handle and sheath for the future bamboo hidden knife. For the manufacture of the handle, we used stained beech wood.

I noticed you cut a piece off. Perfect for what I have been thinking about.
What if you took pieces from different crucibles, and forge weld them?
Use the Wootz pattern, to make Welded Damascus steel.
Different pieces from different combinations of steel.
This time, pieces of tap and dies, in a crucible.
Just keep saving bits to weld together.
I really enjoy this style. The pattern.
Thanks 👍
Wootz Kukri
Not sure if they can be manufactured easily but if I may, I suggest you make a Kunai, like the one Scorpion from Mortal Kombat uses. Thanks for your videos, and be safe!
👍
Anyone with eyes will see the absolute precision and craftsmanship, no more words here!!! I'm glad that there are people who care about detail, respect from old bg!!!

Your Wootz skills are getting better.. each time I watch one of your videos I find myself being amazed more and more at your results..
Almost white and that steel still sounds ultra hard on the anvil. Great.
Love the pattern this steel reveals, could use for anything
Превосходно!
Благодарю!
Wow.. That is one nice looking "bamboo"..
Комментарий в поддержку канала и ролика, а также труда мастера.
Beautiful. Stunning, really. My favorite types of knives are the ones where the scabbard and handle blend so perfectly.
That was one hard nugget to forge. You can usually see the steel move with each hit, even with higher carbon steels, but you were giving it the beans and there was hardly any change
Good point! And that looked like a concrete busting, full size sledgehammer he is swinging there!
Урааа))) ещё годного контента подвалило и как всегда шедевр)))👍😉
Gorgeous knife. Another wonderful project elegantly made!
Thanks 👍

If I could choose a knife from any knife maker in the world, it would be one of yours. It is the simple elegance of your work and, of course, the wootz.
Amazing to watch the process from the beginning to the end such a beautiful knife with a top fit and finish
Thanks 👍
Bonjour
Thanks 👍
Gorgeous work on the blade, hilt and sheath!
Thanks 👍
The knife is a Work of Art!!! I couldn't sell it, if I had made that. 👍👍
Thanks 👍
love this ebony bamboo ... great !!
taps are an excellent choice for wootz
Great looking steel as usual when I saw how long the blank turned out I was excited thinking you would be making a long blade a little bit disappointed but the one you made looks great
Beautiful work.
Thanks 👍
Stunning knife... from concept to creation...well done!
Thanks 👍

Waouw ✨ il est juste magnifique

Хорошо сделал мне нравится
WOW!! That is one beautiful knife...
Thanks 👍
OUTSTANDING!
Still hoping you can get a portion of a tank barrel for a wootz blade. Maybe a fine combat knife designed to say, "No apologies asked nor given!"
what a beautiful art!
Ava han mawi mangtara vele ei..simple yet elegant...👍🏼
Good Job
Thanks 👍
Another masterpiece, bravo sir.
Thanks 👍
That shape looks really comfy to hold!
This is so gorgeous!!! Wish I could buy it!
👍
Best work ever.👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks 👍
Would love to see a San Mai build with the Wootz steel as the hard center core and softer steel on each side or a Damascus steel on each side of the Wootz that is if it can be done I do have to say that you are a master of your craft and thoroughly enjoy watching your channel keep up the great work A Fan From Canada !
Thanks 👍
Beautiful knife good job well done mister
Thanks 👍
Beautiful. I'd like to get one of those myself
Процветание вашему каналу.
hasil yang bagus. asli buatan tangan
very nice thank you
Peça maravilhosa! Parabéns! É possível eu adquirir uma?
amazeballs 🤙🍻😸
Thanks 👍
Hermoso ..me encanta el estilo prohibido que sugieren las armas japonesas en especial el tanto....
Taps and dies would be very hard to hammer without adding the PM. Beautiful knife, it's bigger than I expected, and not a tanto as I expected!
Краса.
Excellent design. Well finished.
Thanks 👍
Holy. That looks like some hard steel
That is insanely beautiful
Wow! Beautiful piece of work! Instant like, here👍
I thought of a detail that could be interesting: have you thought of doing a knife this kind but adding a secure closing, just as if the sheath were a twisting cap? Maybe the knife itself would need to be thinner so that the space for the twisting motion wouldn't make the whole excessively thick. Love your work!
👍
High Speed Steel Knife right On!
Good job 👌👍
Thanks 👍
Beautiful knife
Прекрасная работа! Клинок красивый, жаль, не классической формы )
I made a wood turning tool out of an old M20 tap and the steel is excellent.
That’s buetifull from beginning to the end
Beautifully made
Thanks 👍
Your steel always reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night! The woodwork on the sheath is amazing too!
Thanks
💯
👏👏👏👏
👍👍👍👍
visible Crystalline molecular grains structure love it
As always very nice and well done
Thanks 👍
👍👍👍
hello have a nice afternoon
Hello. Thank you mutually.
I believe the taps and dies are S7 tool steel, don't quote me on that tho lol, beautiful job, I'm still trying to make my own wootz steel for 3 projects, bearded axe, knife and a sword lol
Gorgeous!
Thanks 👍
멋지네요ㆍ
Beautiful piece 👍 👍. W/ the "feed" stock used, that thing has gotta be hell for strong.
Many thanx.
superb work
Not that I have any experience in the matter but I really like the wootz or crucible style of forging like that, just seems smart. Then you pretty much know you got a good solid billet to begin with where as a canister Damascus would scare me as u don’t know if it’s all forge welded good or what. Nice job 👍 very elegant shape on the blade, i like simplistic shapes like that
Super cool
What if the handle for one knife was the scabbard for another? Two knives, symmetrical, so when you pull them apart you have one knife in each hand?
This is a great idea. I thought about that too...
These are fantastic. Do you have a rough "recipe" of what you are using when you fill the crucible? I'd love to have a reference point to give it a go myself. Cheers!
Very nice!
Thanks
Great work🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks 👍
Beautiful 🤩🔥👍❤️
Thanks 👍
OMG it's beautiful looking how much does something like this cost
