Quick note: Don't use glass as a quenching vessel. You are at risk of a "thermal shock" break when you add the +800˚C steel into the 20-50˚C oil (always pre-heat your oil btw). If the glass breaks, it will dump the oil out and may even catch on fire...

I'd be a little concerned with just using epoxy to hold the tang in place. You really want it to be sandwiched between something solid. Still a super cool build though.
And that was Gorilla Glue epoxy which is glorified rubber cement and the worst on the market. Plus, past that solid membrane he pierced for the tang, the bamboo is a hollow tube. There's next to nothing holding that blade in place.

I really like the edge shaping jig you have for your belt sander. Can you make a short video on how you built it and get the angle right?

That is not an edge shaping jig it is a bevel jig. Edge sharpening comes last, that is for ginding the bevels....If you google plans for knife bevel or grinding jig I am sure you will find many plans. I make knives, and used a jig in my earlier days while learning, and still do sometimes on long pieces that require a full flat grind, but generally I free hand it all now....make 500+ you start gaining the knack....lol....I know Walter Sorrells who makes great blades and has tips videos on you tube has plans for making grinding jigs, and fullering tools etc...

Will the blade hold once the bamboo is dry as this was fresh bamboo and still has a high moisture content ?
Of course yes
If anything the bamboo will be stronger they use that where rebar is scarce for renforced concrete
The question I raised was not if Bamboo is strong, it was should you use it when it’s wet ! The reason is because it will shrink when it drys out potentially making the blade loose !!!

How to knife handle rigid inside the bamboo. Funny handle.
That's what I was wondering too. I would have filled the whole handle with epoxy. Wrapped the blade with teflon tape and done the same to the sheath.
