This video reminded me that when I was little (from 9 to 12 years old) I began to really like everything medieval, especially bows, and in a camp that I went to every year, there was bamboo and the idea of making a bow crossed my mind, I spent a week thinking about how, in the end, I deduced many of the things in this video on my own (since I couldn't ask for help because I did it in secret) and that's how I made my first bow with which I spent my time shooting sticks into the water XD, it was great it may have been very rudimentary and primitive and much worse than the one in the video but still I can't help but feel a little proud to have done it on my own
Keep it contained - it spreads like crazy. Someone made a planter with concrete retaining wall blocks built into and existing block retaining wall where I live. Bamboo is starting to work its way between blocks and dislodge them. Plastic sheeting isn't enough - they recommend concrete or metal, at least 2 ft. deep and 6 in. above soil. However, if you put in the time, money, and effort to grow it responsibly, it forms a thick, effective, privacy and sound barrier that grows quickly. The parts you remove when thinning do have a lot of uses.
How to make a bamboo bow: Step one: Live near a bamboo forest. Step two: proceed to... wait... what? Bamboo doesn't grow wild like that where you live? Well... SHIT. Nevermind. On a serious note, nicely done. I didn't expect screws as arrow heads!
@@danieleditrani9238 Creative. I love bamboo (it tastes great!). I enjoyed the method of using a chicken as a feather and a general screw as an arrowhead. I'm thinking of adding a pine pitch to the wings. Great video. Thank you for sharing!
Wow, that slingshot video was incredible! The precision and accuracy of the shots were amazing to watch. It's truly impressive to see how much power and speed can be generated from such a simple tool. It's clear that the person in the video has a lot of skill and experience with slingshots. I was on the edge of my seat watching each shot hit its target with such force and accuracy. This video is a testament to the potential of slingshots as a serious weapon and tool for hunting and sport. I can't wait to see more videos like this in the future!
not gonna lie i didn't think this would work that well, Ive seen videos of homemade bow from wood and they underperform, but I was very surprised how well this shot for a very simplistic material, and quite accurate too!
Ingenious. I love bamboo (tastes great, too!). I enjoyed how you utilized your chickens for feathers and common screws for arrow heads. I'm thinking of adding pine pitch to the feathers as well. Excellent video. Thanks for sharing!
using string from old farm stuff is good idea to recycle that if i know correctly have a thin piece of aluminium which delivers electricity in amperage not volts it has to hit not to kill wiht electicity if that isnt useful its a great substitute to a string great idea 2:36
Pretty sweet. Impressed by how flexible it is. Nice job. I've made a few pvc bows, never thought of bamboo. Got some near me. Thanks for the ideas! Great straightforward video too!
Beautiful bow, I'll do it later, only try to get larger feathers if you want that they do more than decoration and I know that it actually works but you can use spoons to get real and easy arrowheads
I'm here after watching reading the history of Heian Era &Kamakura Era Japanese Samurai & their Ceremony of Yabusame (Firing Arrows with Pinpoint Accuracy using a 2 meter long longbow, from a Fast Running Horse)
I really like the video very helpful. Except you don't show a few crucial steps like how to tie the knots in the rope and stuff. Which is precisely the stuff I find difficult.
Would a bow like this keep? you cut the stave green and almost immediately strung it - would I store it strung to tiller it slightly, or unstrung and the dry bamboo would keep that flexibility w/o cracking? Sorry this is an awesome build I just really wanna know more dude
I had the same question. From my experience, you would need to treat bamboo that size or it dries out fast and gets splintery. Maybe it's a different variety of bamboo, but I expect similar issues would still come up.
Ive made the bow with yellow indian bamboo available here, exactly like you made it, but seems to lack the strength that is shown in the video i used plastic thread instead of Nylon. Is that the reason?😐

Best to use feathers of the same side (aka right side and another feather's right side to help with the spinning of the arrow when it flies.
Or you could offset the fletching

Bamboo is one of the best for bows as it’s very very flexible
From childhood we seen only bamboo bow
Bro is it a elastic rope or a normal rope
I thought it wont work but after he used it I was amazed but can I ask what kind of rope you used?
I think The rope I used to string the bow is paracord
Paracord is good, but nothing to actual good bow string, Dacron, fast flight, etc etc
All trees should be a few centimeters tall
Beautiful bow, I'll do it later, only try to get larger feathers if you want that they do more than decoration and I know that it actually works but you can use spoons to get real and easy arrowheads
Thanks for the spoons idea
