Tex999as we are a Greek Orthodox Church in Illinois. We are aware that the organ is not Eastern, but we use it regardless. We are not the only ones...pretty popular in the west.
@@ellastrantellenas278 Not necessarily anti-Orthodox, just jarring and unnecessary. It just sounds bad with Byzantine music. I actually like organs in Western-Rite Orthodoxy.
Its an Orthodox Church.....normally No Organs are allowed...just Choirs....so not sure what customs the Greek Orthodox churches in the States have been developing....
@@joannajones8533 May ask you something? Why do they look at the entrance door? In Greece all People and the priest are outside the church, at the nature. He reads the Gospel, and then all together sing the psalm christos anesti, and after that We enter in the church.

Is there lyrics for the english translations?
Christ is risen from the dead trampling death by death and on the tombs bestowing life
Yes, of course- Chris is Risen from the Dead, by Death He has Overcome Death, and to them in the grave Has He Given Life!! :) :)
@@joannajones8533 thank you for the translation. I wish you a Happy Easter. Greetings from Greece.
