Lovely pattern ❤. I made mine using an additional star stitch to end the round. The final stitch of the star goes in to the very bottom of the first stat stitch to join. Then slip into the top of the single crochet. It looks like there is no seam this way. Thanks for your tutorial. 😊
At the end of each round?
I am working on this hat with 2 colors , i did my brim with a light gray with silver sparkle ,and a denim blue its looking great ,I am alternating the rows of yhe body with the 2 colors , i cant wair to see how it turns out, so far its looking great, and i slip stitched the 1st row of the star stitch where the hole / gap join was. I didnt care for the big hole. After doing the first row of the half double. It looks seamless now. Lovecthis patteren , Thats for your slow speed and teaching .Ph, andci used a size I-9 hook on mine . I started with 63 stiches.
I just stumbled on this tutorial. Love it! I just finished making it
beautiful beannie thanks, I made my two half dc into the eye of the star rather than as described and it worked well defined the star a little better. I think this beannie would work with any yarn as long as your band measures 19 inches, I used a light yarn with a 4mm hook which gave me a stitch count of 82 and it worked great
Great job! 💕🫶
I have been having a difficult time doing beanies. It’s odd, because I can make a lot of other things. Your instructions were so clear and I love how you don’t hurry through it. My beanie came out so cute! Thanks so much, I’m looking forward to doing more of your videos. ❤
I'm so happy to hear that! 💖💖
I love this hat. I really like the star stitch and this hat made with it is so pretty and easy. Thank you

Thank you! And thank you for watching! What colors did you go with?

Love the hat pattern. Are there instructions on how to make the Pom Pom? Oh, I found it! Thanks
Thanks 🙏 for sharing the video with us here ❤❤❤from R I 🇺🇸🍀👍
I really don’t understand 2 half double crochet together. It’s so fast and not easy to see. I’m afraid this will stop there because I don’t understand. Okay, once you explained that you were looking through a camera lens , I understood why you got a bit off center when the stitches weren’t easy to see.
My 73 year old eyes finally managed to see and understand what you were doing and I finished the hat. I’m very happy with it and I will make it again, in another yarn. I used a fuzzy yarn that would have been better suited for knitting so I believe I made it harder for myself. Thank you for sharing your skill and for the good instructions. I will look for more of your videos.😊😊😊
Is there any way to prevent to little hole near the join of the first row of the star stitch?
Love your pattern. Would it work using a DK yarn?
You do the star stitch differently
What is the yarn yardage? It is not mentioned here or on pattern.
I find I crochet 62 on the HDC round and have to add another one in the Ch1 at the beginning of the round. Can you help me out? Thank you :)
Jacqueline, this is a beautiful beanie! I'm making one that starts with 75 stitches. What is your suggestion when it's time to decrease? I followed the exact steps in the tutorial but it turns out too tight and with a big hole at the top. I know I have to make some adjustments but I'm having a hard time figuring it out. I'll appreciate your help.😊
Thank you so much for your comment! Great question. What I would suggest is doing one more round of half double 2 together. That should being the top together nicly. ❤️ let me know how it goes!
I’ll try that. Thanks!

I used lion brands pound of love. But any worsted weight works. 😊
