True. But it’s off to a bad start. Look at “Bill Aucoin’s” mustache. Straight from Dollar Tree. Also, they can’t even get KISS’s official make up to be in the movie. The green screen effects are crap. The audience is definitely not there. The casting PERIOD! is super off. In my opinion of course.
@@luismaldonado4989 oh yeah. It's cheesy. They don't even have a distributor. They are shopping it at Cannes Film Festival. I'm sure it will end up somewhere. But, probably not in movie theaters.
Clearly, the only actor here who did his best during homework time was would be Gene_ They went back to way early on this clip too, this was from the short period where Peter was still using the Invisible Man make up_ They knocked the stage out of the park though_ They can't all be winners, can they¿
Ace Frehley never wore his guitar that high. Plus, it's obvious that the actor never watched clips of Ace playing - he looks, acts and moves nothing like Ace.
If this is their version of KISS I'd hate to see what their version of the other music artists on Casablanca Records look like, because from what I heard the movie is about the whole record company, not just KISS. Lot of wild stuff at the office. Plenty of coke.
Because the cheesiness of it makes the greatness of kiss reductive and the story defeats it’s self . The greatness of the story is he took a risk on kiss before they made it cause he saw the potential and the pay off of the story is that he was right he got to see them go from obscure to household name. It sucks that this telling of the story is he comes to the party when they’re already happening. So that means they didn’t even need him and he didn’t take any chances. So what’s the point of the greatness of Neil ? Like I said it defeats itself.
But it doesn't look " amazing" that's why people are complaining! You have to understand KISS fans are the most hardcore music fans out there and we notice when things are not done right . All the moves are wrong , they look NOTHING like Kiss , the song sounds NOTHING like Kiss, and the actors playing the Casablanca staff look NOTHING like the people there portraying. Plus the timeline is all wrong. If you are going to go to the effort of spending millions on a film and tell a true story do it properly!
This clip was only made to try and sell the concept to film studios. It's not meant to be accurate at the beginning stages. It's only to show the potential for an actual production. So please KISS fans - relax.
Shout it out loud during a casablanca release party in '74? Not firehouse, nothin to lose, strutter, cold gin??? By the time shout it out loud hit in '76 kiss already saved casablanca from bankruptcy. That was a little embarrassing.
I’m not buying that Steven let somebody talk to him like that. I don’t doubt he threw a little diva fit, but he would have at least flipped Bogart off. Tyler’s small but he’s no pussy. There is a story about a knife fight between the two bands road crews, didn’t involve the bands themselves.
They neither look, act, nor sound like KISS at all. I guess it's hard to recreate a band perfectly, but still. Side note, back in the 70's it was still very seedy and dirty, not the bubble gum clown posse they look like now.
Well if they're going to make a movie that features a band that has an Army, they need to get it closer to perfect than that. In the late 70's as a kid I was a huge Kiss fan, I had a Kiss lunchbox, Trapper Keeper, and everything. They are going to have to do better than that to get support from Kiss fans.
It would've been better if they lip synced to a live version by KISS. Can't really pan the entire movie based on the cheese concert footage though, all the actors are solid and it's a compelling story so I'm sure it'll be worth watching.
For all those who complained about the lack of authenticity, the changes were necessary due to copyright laws preventing anyone from copying the original. They were seriously restrained by Gene Simmons to not violate make up, costume, etc. Copyright. A lot of lawyers involved.

@@chainsawteddybear Why wouldn't I just say that from the beginning if that was the truth? Like, I see no reason to even lie about it... But no, we’re not dating.
the character of "Ace" should have had his guitar down around his waist......total Nerd playing.
By the way, this isn't a movie about KISS. It's about Casablanca records. Lots of stuff about George Clinton/Gladys Knight/Donna Summer.
😜 Yes,let's not forget that.
@@luismaldonado4989 oh yeah. It's cheesy. They don't even have a distributor. They are shopping it at Cannes Film Festival. I'm sure it will end up somewhere. But, probably not in movie theaters.
This is a biopic about Neil Bogart, not the KISS bio pic
Well then don't show Kiss ! If your going to make it look this bad then don't bother.
Clearly, the only actor here who did his best during homework time was would be Gene_
They went back to way early on this clip too, this was from the short period where Peter was still using the Invisible Man make up_
They knocked the stage out of the park though_
They can't all be winners, can they¿
Is Gene a woman?
Pretty sure he didn't "bleagh" into the mic too...
Only if he's being paid
Ace Frehley never wore his guitar that high. Plus, it's obvious that the actor never watched clips of Ace playing - he looks, acts and moves nothing like Ace.
Ace wasn't that hefty either
If this is their version of KISS I'd hate to see what their version of the other music artists on Casablanca Records look like, because from what I heard the movie is about the whole record company, not just KISS. Lot of wild stuff at the office. Plenty of coke.
Looks like there was definitely some cocaine use when they cast the Kiss members
Hey Mr Aerosmith
Why did they not just use mr speed KISS ??
So it's a Parody?
ANGEL!!
I don’t know why people are being haters. Creation over criticism. It looks amazing to me and my dad would’ve loved seeing this!
Oh boy
I came to say exactly that.
The stadium setting is wrong. Kiss only played to 20,000-sized crowds back then.
Well this will be released on Betamax only.
Kiss
I thought this movie was really terrible, but the songs and performances were great! Instead of a movie, it should’ve been a Broadway show 🤷🏽♂️
Oh no..........
Phantom of the park 2?
That guy looked absolutely nothing like Gene Simmons.
Black guy has gotta be JR Smalling? This looks like it could be pretty cool looking.
Why couldn't Gene and Paul make a deal on representing the authentic face paint!?
Okay why does kiss not look like kiss?
Who's that chick playing Gene Simmons?
Didn’t know Haiden deegan played gene Simmons
Someone help that gene with his makeup
Has KISS Seen this yet and if so what do they think of this travesty . . .
Somebody didn’t want to pay Gene/Paul’s fee to use the actual likeness on the makeup lol When did kiss ever call Aerosmith p#%*ies?
Unless the audience shows mostly kids with their dads, it’s not accurate
Just cut Kiss if you can't get the rights
Did I see the Stanley guy do a giddy up pony move?🤦
Oh,COME ON!😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Those are NOT the KISS make up.....
BLEAGH
Agreed
BRAVO D A+ D EXCELLENCE FABULEUX INOUBLIABLE ! .. Singer L ÉCRIVAIN M.r D.J .. D.J.(L)
He look it's TOMMY THAYER!!
🤣🤣
1:00 Is that a fake tongue?
Is this movie just about KISS?
kiss would be so ingrained in Americana if someone wasnt sued everytime they r mentioned.....very sad
I wanna be Ace Frehley just like Tommy Thayer does...lol
Tommy is Tommy while wearing the Spaceman get-up while Ace is Ace, dummy.
@@davidwallgren7575 only dummy is you..
