"Beth, where's my make up? Beth, where are my boots with the snake on them?" LOL
This is hilarious. The production values alone are worth it. Good editing, great idea. And I love the way they accurately captured how KISS always record in makeup.
I was thinking Criss would do the ending "ah---- haaaaaa" like a frustrated scream over the phone to end the conversation.
Brilliant. Starts off funny and campy, but then some real feels at the end. Loved the way she got the "period" accuracy for the way she dialled the number at the start (button-dialling was still very new) and the way she was holding her cigarette. Top-notch!
The second he sat at the piano :') tears.
Yes, because Bob Ezrin played the piano and Peter is nowhere near as talented.
Yes, and they always practiced with full Makeup, and Wardrobe :)
Wow. At first this was funny. Really funny. The actor playing Peter Criss was AWESOME. But then when she sits down to dinner, it's actually really freaking poignant! Nice job folks!
Dan Gillotte thats *NOT* peter ?
@@hobbygamer6220 Steven Olson plays Pete, apparently.
Yeah, I know I'm a year late, but y'know, me & the boys were playing...
@@Daemonik and you just couldnt find the tiiiiiime XD
@@Daemonik thanks !
This was so cool. Kiss will forever be one of the BEST rock bands in history.
BETHST!!!
It's really weird to find something g like this all these years later. Our life is a puzzle that never gets finished until we find our Father in heaven.
Despite the disclaimer of being the "Historically Inaccurate Genesis of Beth" from all accounts this appears to be a pretty spot on interpretation of the head space and atmosphere that initially spawned the song.. It's also really, really funny.
There a lots of songs by KISS that weren't "mainstream" that are frigging awesome.
2,000 Man
Rock Bottom
Anything for my baby
Mr Speed
Hard Luck Woman
Shock Me
Charisma
Saint and Sinner
Rock and Roll hell
War Machine
Uh all night
Domino
Within
We are one
caperUnderscore26 Shock Me was based off a true story from Ace. Orlando 1976, during a concert he was going up the back stairs, when they did use stairs for a concert, and when he got to the top for the escalator down for their next song he was hit with 220 volts. Luckily he fell backwards and not fowards cause it would’ve been a 20 foot fall. They all wanted him to go to the hospital but the crowd was cheering his name so he continued the show but didn’t have feeling in his right hand.
All American Man
Love her all I can
"2, 000 Man" is a cover
not a KISS song.
--- The Rolling Stones
The crock pot! The blender! The colors! Perfect set design!
"Beth, where's my makeup?" LOL!!!
Beth was actually a song written for the band members wife's and girlfriends because they all missed each other while KISS was touring.
Wyatt Hunt Beth was orginally Beck for the wife of a friend of Peters who played with him back in the day before Kiss when peter was in a band called Lips...
Actually wasn't it about his buddy Michael Brand's girlfriend Becky when he was in the band Chelsea?
1 not true 2 the title of the video says historically inaccurate they know it's not how it actually happened
@@joeyrandell1476 Yes, and absolutely not intended as a love song by any standards. More like a deeply ironic 'salutation' to a gf, that was pissing everybody in the band right off, with her constant interruptions.
Wrong
i love how they make it seem like KISS would be in makeup while in he studio 😂
LOVE the 70's house!
Exactly. The attention to detail in this video is exceptional from the old style push button phones, the little boys having long hair, Beth’s dress and even the lava lamp at the recording studio. This was was done incredibly well. I appreciate the attention to detail even though it’s a comedy parody.
they should have given her the lines in the song that say she feels so empty and their house just ain't a home and shes always there alone...
💚This is really well done. I was hoping there would be credits at the end.
💚Who played Peter?
Ace is wearing the wrong costume for this era
I don't know which way he's wearing it is he wearing it backwards or am I stupid or does he have it on wrong
They are ALL wearing the Alive! Era costumes on the Destoyer: Resurrected cover. Not just Ace.
Mike Serot historically inaccurate. Lol.
@@codeblue8922 Actually no, they're all wearing the "Destoyer" era costumes, Ace the "Alive!" one
THEY WEAR WHAT THEY WANT !!!! WHENEVER THEY WANT !! ITS KISS
The biggest mistake in this video is not that KISS would be in the studio in full makeup and costume - but that Peter Criss had any idea at all what a piano was, let alone play it like a real musician.
Solo les diré algo siempre lloro con esa canción feliz cumpleaños Peter Criss
😥😥😥😩😩😩
Gene Simmons :')
That is so cool! I loved that! That was super well done 👍🏻
The actor did a surprisingly great job portraying Peter!
You’re delusional lol
Wow. That was actually pretty good.
this is so amazing!!!
She should ask, "Peter, why are you speaking in rhymes? That's just weird."
"You..you..you..you..you..you..you..you tell me what's in it for Beth!"
These words of Peter's are so tragic - they'd make a good ballad. Let's see, 1976 - maybe The Bee Gees or Air Supply could've turned these words into a hit.
Tell us you lived in Australia in the '70s without telling us you lived in Australia in the '70s.
I don’t think he would have been wearing the whole get up in the studio lol
All in the span of 1 phone call i love it !
I wonder if Beth has nothing to lose.
Don't forget Sure know Something and Goin Blind or even the ultimate power ballad I still love you
It is funny how Kiss wore makeup in the studio too
I kind of have an inaccurate theory of the song's story myself. I always thought that this song was about a man calling his wife telling her that he and the boys, meaning his sons, will be playing all night having fun at a playground.
This is beautifully made. No other way to put it
I just stumbled across this and it's genius level. Love it.
Seems the earliest known version of this song was with perer criss' prior band "chelsea" with the song "Beck".
No consigo poner los subtitulos en Español, alguien me lo podria traducir porfavor. Gracias
Beth - Would you please share the recipe for the meatloaf? Love a good meatloaf. Thank you
Oh I havent forgotten those ! So many songs that havent been heard by a lot of people
love this
Who was behind this? Who thought it was a good idea to put this much time into this
Beth is not the original name it was Beck
Because Peter was dating Jeff Beck at the time.
@@jondunmore4268 Yep
@@jondunmore4268😂😂
They should make a Kiss Movie👍👍
Well, it will be too expensive until Gene Simmons is still alive
Y’all know another video kinda looks like this set up but they speak like Swedish? I’m not crazy but I can’t
Find it
Wat a classic and excellently put together was so good wd xxx
Started as "BECK!"
amazing
This is so good !
Does any body know who the actors for KISS and Beth are ??? Beth looks very familiar.
i don' understand why this video has only 119 thousand views. it's fucking genius. intelligent, funny, professional, you name it.
Yeah, could be better with whole movie with quality like this.
"Telephone Line" by ELO is a song refuting the song "Becky" lie that the Rebecca Brand, wife of Michael Brand of the bands Chelsea and Lips, called the studio for nagging. Another account says that her name was Rebecca Penridge, wife of Stan Penridge.
She called the studio to her husband because her father was being hospitalized for a heart attack and he went to the emergency room and later died and either Stan didn't answer the phone or he said he didn't believe her. He lied! Her father died and he didn't care! Eventually, they got divorced over this!
Another song "That's The Kind of Sugar Papa Likes" by Chelsea was about Becky visiting her dying father in the hospital and giving him sugar cubes to eat because that's the kind of sugar her father liked.
Fantastic Take on this. Really.
What's this clip from?
Und genau so war’s …
This may not be what happened, but some songs no doubt had similar inspiration.
when this song came out i thought it was about me im so happy it wasnt a put down for me but a married beth cos at that time i was single
danarippee
Pretty cheesey, but pretty darn funny too! Who comes up with this stuff? :-D
Wow this is awesome I bet this is exactly how the song went down
SO, WHAT *IS* the story ?
I am watching again, here in March 2024
So great !
Whats this from ?
He has his wristbands around his hands, lol.
Why’s Peter is here
Awesome !!!
This just reminds me of Role Models...
did you know ace frehley did not play on destroyer
Really?
Jerry Bays He played on a good portion of it. But do to confliction with the producer, who was hard on Ace, he didnt show up for some songs, because he couldnt get the parts right. He played most the songs of destoryer better live anyways. The producer was a major perfectionist
I believe he didn't play Sweet Pain.... which I doubt ever got played live anyway.
Yes he did, only on a few songs he didn't play.
I don’t recall any lyrics about meatloaf in Beth.
I know it is intended to be inaccurate. But the thing I find amusing, is that there are 3 guitar cases in the house, yet, to my knowledge Peter never could play. So, amusingly inaccurate.
Actually, Peter could play some guitar and piano. But that's Bob Ezrin you're hearing on the piano.
For one Peter Chris never had a wife named Beth two he only has one kid he has a daughter and those look like in the video looks like you had two sons so they did get some of the story wrong not saying that It had to be perfect but the people could have research a little bit but I'm not trying to diss anyone but yeah
Hoax Frost are u dumb???
like uh we know hername isnt beth its beck
It’s a fucking skit.
Totally acceptable and probably more accurate than you think.
Awesome!
Why no mention of Bob Winters?
Dude , just go home to Beth. She's going to give you what the guys can't. Squishy squishy make another son.
Do the one of we’re they first tried to make the band
I actually like the Original version ''Beck'' especially the guitar work ...
sweet
Peter playing the piano? LOL. I don't think so.
This is very interesting to watch. This is also how I write songs from what I go through with the girl.
that a great video!
Hahaha loved it!! :-P
It was actually a song called Beck written about a woman whose name was Lydia...go figure.
Truth be told... It wasn't about Lydia at all, but that's the story KISS told when the song came out... probably because it was a better story than saying it was about the girlfriend of a guy who wasn't even in the band.
He goes from a few hours to all night - pregnant pause - What?
who is peter
2:08 hahahahaha cracks me up
Flawless victory.
how do u get haters for this?
Underrated
I want to give it a thumbs up, but I don't want to break the 420!
This is the Eric Singer accurate history 🤣
This is actually funny as hell. Like Rock Stars doing In Living Color....
oh yeh, he has a 9 inch dick calm down
Y asi es como nacio una de mis favoritas
That is not Peter Criss
Was Forest Gump in the room?
A lot of work for a tiny return.
Great idea; however, needs better direction and script.
Beith I wish I'd....never seen your face.
Legendary
