I've already played 9 hours of this game. I decided to watch this hour and half long speedrun until I got into spoiler territory. It only took 15 minutes.
Same. Although I'm 37 hours in (but it is my first time so there's a lot of exploring and backtracking going on...and getting my ass handed to me on multiple occasions). I'm now barely over an hour into this run and I think I'll have to put it back on pause soon.

Jokes aside, it feels extremely heart warming to see both the community and creator chipping in for the event. Makes me feel extremely proud to be a Hollow Knight fan as well. Awesome job Vysuals, and the couch!
Hollow Knight NMG is the only game/route I've ever attempted to speedrun, so I was quite excited for about half a second to see that my best time was slightly faster than the one in the title. Until I noticed that this run included the true ending. Fuck me...

Massive shoutout to mossbag and team cherry themselves for the big dono's. Such an awesome community, such an awesome game. The run was a bit shaky but still good regarding there were 130k people watching him! I hope this was a window for people to look through and discover that HK is one of the best new games right now. And thanks gdq for choosing hk as the opening game! Was awesome!

Vys’s giggles when he narrowly avoids death during that fight may be the best thing I’ve ever heard. I was dying watching. Scared to death and my heart was skipping beats and he just chuckles. The absolute madman! Such an entertaining run. Proud of you, Vys!

The Celeste devs were like "hey, that path of pain is really cool. Let's make an entire game where you don't touch the ground!"
And then they made levels that they could practice on as well.

Easily the best speedrun from gdq, from skill, couch commentary, genuine fun, knowledge, and donation involvement, everyone vibing hard and even Team Cherry supported it. So fun

Just realized that the graphic behind the timer is lighting up in a binary sequence. That's useless info for anyone reading this comment, but I think it's a cool little touch.

Yeah this is the 2nd or 3rd year they use that binary timer.
Not only that, but the binary sequence corresponds to the timer digits. (As in, a 3 is backed by a 0011, etc.)
They introduced that last year :)

I absolutely adore this game. I haven't beaten it yet but every time I play I find myself exploring with a child-like sense of wonder.

Right from the bat he does such a great job at explaining the game! Love this man ('s playstyle) Had me hooked straight away.
Watching that play through of White Palace and how smoothly it was done you would think that I would feel terrible about my struggle through it. However it actually just reminds me that I'm really proud of the fact that I got through it as well as I did! I can't imagine how many tries that Path of Pain would take!
You know the funny thing about this run? He skipped so much of the game that, if you've never played it before but want to after watching this, there's actually a LARGE amount of content that you'll still get to experience for the first time that wasn't spoiled. Hollow Knight is probably the best value for my money I've ever gotten from a single player videogame, and everything from the run to the couch to the donations were great. Well done.

That fight against radiance was a thing of beauty. I've never actually seen this game before, but now i kind of really want to play it for the story and to see more of the pretty art style, but I absolutely suck at challenging platformers so I guess I'll stick with watching amazing speedrunners

Only speedrun I've watched more than once. These guys are great to listen to and the run is really well executed and shows/explains a lot of different elements of speedrunning.
So, I watched this to get tips on how to beat Radiance... and it was completely useless to me, you are way above my league. It was, however, one of the coolest speedruns I've ever witnessed
This was absolutely amazing, i have no words to describe how much I love this game and all the content that we can make through him, it's a masterpiece, and this speedrun was incredible, that radiance fight was intense af xD

That Radiance fight was amazing. With full upgrades I can't finish the third pantheon and Vys just did that radiance ending without a hit taken in a marathon. Amazing run overall and great commentary and sweet dono's from mossbag and Team Cherry. Hollow Knight is so underrated it's a shame. This has inspired me to finish the pantheons. Wish me luck because I need it bad lol

It has to be said, I don't really enjoy watching speed runs, but it's different when it's for charity. There must be so much pressure upon the player to consistently get everything right, knowing that doing so means more more donations will roll in.

One of the best runs i've ever seen...speed run or not. Vysuals is phenomenal. Well done, sir! I'm eternally grateful that the couch kept it quiet for that Radiance battle. Some of their commentary was less than stellar. In fact, to quote Kirbymastah, "It was a harder than it looked and a little obnoxious."
Watching this makes me really miss getting this game as a random gift from a friend on steam, hearing how amazing it is, absolutely hating it because I despise side scrollers, and eventually falling in love with it. Magical game. All we need is that damn Silksong release date!
Watching this right after having finished Hollow Knight and Radiance is a different kind of satisfaction, knowing how difficult the regular game is. Nice run.

Hollow Knight Voidheart Edition is on a par with Bloodborne as the best games ever 😁
Recently got voidheart edition on PS4 on sale for $7. Such a steal.
Voidheart edition is the same as every other version its just a fancy name for PS4 and XBOX ONE.
My only issue with the base game was that it takes a lot before the difficulty ramps up. The first half (or two thirds) aren't really close to what the later part has to offer. Which is a shame because area/boss being too easy makes besting them not feel that great.
On the contrary Bloodborne starts much harder but until you get to DLC the difficulty curve is not as steep. Central Yharnam WILL kill you if you miss a beat whereas Greenpath doesn't even try to be challenging.
