Such a cool speed-run and my first time watching Titanfall 2 gameplay since having played it years ago! For a FPS and a robot-buddy game, both genres being somewhat saturated, this videogame was SO well put together with its incredible parkour system and set-pieces. It's criminal how badly timed the release was! Would LOVE to see Respawn make a sequel to this some time in the future.
also all the movement tech they are doing is aplicable to the multiplayer which is really good, the competitive titanfall 2 multiplayer players like me owe a lot to the speedrunners

My god every time I see this game I wonder why TF3 never was thrown into development hell. The movement, the weapons, the story, the universe, and most importantly (imo) THE LEVEL DESIGN. The speed at which Blaidan runs thru these levels perfectly showcases the massive size of each unique area. And the graphics??? In 2016???? This game looks better than most AAA games TODAY. IN 2024. Absolutely MIND BLOWING product, TF2 is such a perfect game.
I don't know these guys, but Bryonato was honestly such a positive force in this, especially for Blaiden I imagine. He constantly smoothed mistakes over with encouraging commentary and reinforcing just how hard it is and how good Blaiden is. Love the dynamic, great watch.
I know that Obsidian now is nothing like old Obsidian, I know that same goes for Blizzard. I wish this was untrue for Respawn. They made some great games, and then some good games. And now it's just ape legends. I want Titanfall 1 to be revived, I love Titanfall 2, and I wish we had Titanfall 3. At this point, I am sure that if we get the third game, it's going to be nothing like 1 or 2, and it might be a downgrade for those who enjoy the technical movement and fast pace of TF2 and great down-to-earth interstellar warfare atmosphere of TF1.

For a game that is, ostensibly, primarily a multiplayer game, Respawn made one of the best single player campaigns I've ever seen in an FPS. And one of the most entertaining to see speedrun.
52:52 is like some damage tech in ark survival evolved mobile. where if you stand far enough away from a dinosaur and spy glass it, it will take many many hits from one attack. love to cheese kills with it to help level up my dinos
That BT was an absolute banger and masterclass of why having movement tech like this in a game is insanely awesome. Even though its super fast and tough to see whats going on, its incredibly entertaining and looks super cool. The epitome of speedrunning. Its ironic that I used to run HL1 and TF2 being a modified source game, there really is a lot of similarities.
