    Microphone Setup: Perfect
    Pacing: Perfect
    Voice Intonation: Perfect
    You were born to make tutorial videos...you should work for Autodesk. Learned everything I needed to know, and then some.
    This should serve as an example of how to make a good tutorial video. I can't tell you how nice it is to not hear the typical revolting mouth noises that most videos have.
    Bravo!!

    Sir, you're a gentleman and a scholar.
    I'm new at 3D printing and a friend referred me to TinkerCAD. I used it for a while but I found it very cumbersome/constrained. So many steps if you want to place a simple hole in a precise place.
    i.e. a simple countersunk screw hole was a nightmare to do. In your tutorial, I discovered that Fusion 360 has this tool built-in!
    Thanks so much!

    I think the only thing I would have done differently is when extruding as a cut, I would have extruded to a face. If you were to make a plate to mount to your cut extrusions would apply to the new body

    Why does your origin look different than mine . When you select a sketch your origin comes with green line pointing north, red to southeast, blue southwest. When I select sketch mine blue points north, green points northeast and red points southeast. I am sure it has to do with a version upgrade but it’s hard to follow along. Is there a video that explains the change or is there a setting in preferences that can change my origin to look like yours?

    Hello I know this is an older video but they are still good! At the 8:28 minute mark the four points on the top of the part appear where did they come from?

    • @jon__doe
      @jon__doe 4 года назад

      exactly where I got stuck.
      figured it out. I'm using different dimensions and my filet is smaller, which placed the dots (center of circle) on the offset line.They appear when I hover.

      When you create the offset curve, the points are representing the center of the corner fillets. Check the Sketch Pallet on the right side. It says "Show Points". Make sure that's checked.

  • @AndrewFearn42
    @AndrewFearn42 3 года назад

    A few years has passed so please excuse if this is a version difference
    Would there be any drawback to creating the radius for the cutout in the sketch created @9:30 and then extruded @10:02 instead of doing the 3D fillet @11:20 on the created edges?
    Or would this be just a difference of order of operation and not really have an effect on the resultant model?

  • @djcalle1975

      If you look at the videos @ 0:38 , in the upper left of the drawing, you can see the 1.0" diameter representing the outside corner, to the inside of the pocket.

    Have to agree your video is nicely done and allows the viewer to follow along as you progress. This leads me to ask if you are still going videos and if you are I see a coffee in your future. Working on custom threads but failing misably. Do you have one that uses coil command to created custom threads? There is a video online that shows the steps but they are not clear and can not duplicate the creation of custom threads using coil command as shown in this the link shown below. If you are interested in seeing the video I am referencing here it is: ruclips.net/video/BqwtTD3YejE/видео.html
