    I am always grateful to see the beautiful scenery that I missed and passed on through video.

    I did this hike on 26 August last year (2022) after I'd hiked Angels Landing in the morning (was fortunate to obtain a permit). Whilst hiking Angels Landing was much more perilous, the views from the Overlook Trial were just as spectacular. Definitely worth it!

    It's a pretty remarkable payoff when you consider how brief of a hike it is. I always recommend it to first-timers who don't have too much time at Zion and can't get a permit for Angels Landing. Arguably a better view than Angel's Landing as well, just not as thrilling of a hike. It usually gets pretty packed during the day and parking can be sparse. But I'm glad you highlighted this one! Can't wait to do it again soon.

      Yea I agree - such a great bang for your buck. Every time that I hit Zion I'll try to stop here and do the trail.

    Was delayed getting into Zion on what would have been our first day at the park due to some car trouble (a memorable anxiety filled drive from Page, AZ to St George, UT) but thankfully we managed to arrive just before sunset and got some truly incredible views from this brief hike. Highly recommend it.

    Enjoyed your video! I live close to Zion's, so it is one of my favorite locations to visit and create videos.

    Do you think this works for kids 8 and 6 y/o? Or are there too many drop offs without railing? It’s too narrow to take them by hand in places right? Thanks!

      Most of it is very kid friendly. The very end at the point is not, but if you hold their hands, they should be fine.

    Thank you for this. Kinda of freaking out about the drop offs.. I have read some accounts of people needing to turn back because of narrow it was at some parts. Do you think they have added more railings or are they just talking about the parts you showed in the video. Did you show all of the narrow parts with out rails??

      Follow up question. Since it's an out an back trail... how do people navigate the narrow parts going in different directions

    • @Hikingguy
      @Hikingguy  Год назад +1

      There are no drop offs on this route except for the very end, which you see in the video. The trail is plenty wide for lots of people. When you get to the overlook, there are no railings so just stay back from the edge. But getting there has zero edges or narrow trails.

    Can you get there by shuttle?

      unfortunately doesn't run up there - they should have one up to that part of the park though

    Any trails for motorcycles?

    Still can’t believe this trail is only considered moderate/easy some places. I did the narrows pretty easily and it was considered “strenuous”. I thought this trail was far tougher. As soon who’s scared of heights, I had to turn around .3 miles in. Wish I could understand more about the national parks rating system

      Are you sure it was this trail? It's pretty tame and more like a roadside attraction.

      Can't bike to this. No bikes through the tunnel.
