Yes. we photographed our prototypes which were essentially production samples. we held off on production until the campaign finished and we knew our quantities

Dude. The email generation lead math you proposed is TERRIBLE. The cost of acquiring a Backer outweighs the revenue they generate. Based on that math, the expense of reaching enough potential project backers can exceed the campaign's funding goals leading to diminishing returns and more likely, losses. Using your math, it shows that $2000 will lead to 30 Backers on average. For a campaign at $36k and a lowest tier of $55, you would need roughly 655 backers. To get all those backers from email leads, it would require 21.8k leads which translates to $43.6k. It's a loss of nearly $8k and not a single dime left over to actually deliver goods. Am I missing something here?
I'm about to create a gofundme that gives a gift upfront. The gift is how to fold a piece of paper that when torn in half, creates a cross and the words, Live, Love, Life, Hell, Vile and Evil. The story is amazing and it took over 20 years before all the words, other than HELL came to me. I would like to do agroforestry. After the land purchase at 1.3 million. I am investing 300k into the trees n shrubs. Because trees the a long time to produce (7years to first few nuts, 10 years to mature production), I was thinking of crowd funding to assist with irrigation and/or mowing. I was thinking of having people sponsor a tree, maybe a t-shirt, perhaps extra charge for naming the tree which would have the potential to get publicly sold among growers. Any thoughts on if this might be enough to get investors?
