It doesnt have to be perfect...15:28
I feel like if it's not absolutely perfect to me, I won't be able to sell it to others. My product is a service. in time yes I will sell product, but would be refurbished tech equipment and a "warranty" that I'll help fix and teach how to fix their own devices (drones/Rc stuff)

Brilliant video, and obviously relevant for us. Learnt so much with FTHRhood and following you for so long learnt a lot of what you say in this already. All going to help with our second brand launch. Our issue is as always funding. Life so tight that unable to re invest the small profit we make. I'd love to be able to afford initial stock or even samples for content, market testing but stuck with print.on demand and mock up imagery. But, as always, we keep pushing. Thankyou for making this and all the others.

Defining the product and market demographic is all important.
I've been thinking about a clothing brand for AGES. I run a youtube channel and absolutely know from my video stats that my demographic is men over 50 interested in Motorhome Travel.
      What's my Dream?
launch clothing brand featuring my "The Happy Travellers" youtube channel brand. and as long as I can make a modest retirement income I'd happily send ALL the profit to enabling older people own and use a motorhome to experience the joy of traveling.
WOW, this video is excellent and has inspired me to write the above description. getting clarity at last...

After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Evelyn Infurna. My key takeaways from your video are that a business concept isn't just about making money it's about heart and giving back.
Ask ourselves why we do what we do, not just what we do. Sharing our because creates a deeper connection with the person we're speaking to.
Thank you for reminding us that the heart of a business is giving and together, we can achieve more than we could on our own.

The best most credible and most inspiring video on entrepreneurship I have seen so far. Great advice and practical steps to follow and implement. I am at 62 now even really considering going to launch a business again. Previously I have been into services and developed very specialised complex products geared at solving specific problems. Always worked my ass off without even considering marketing and sales. Just assuming a great product would sell itself. Then went into retail, selling vinyl records because I liked them, without even considering margins and costs. Man, had I listened to you before, it would have saved me a lot of trouble. The good thing is, I already have a great brand name that I could use for my new business. BTW, I noticed that you didn't talk about drop shipping. Why would you not consider that option for this new business? I would appreciate to get in touch! Again thanks for the great video!

Drones arent all ukraine war videos, or pervs looking through your windows. Drones are the closest thing you can get to feeling like a jet fighter without risking your body or bank account.
With hundreds of uses across many diciplines. Educating also means partnering with FAA to teach drone safety, and licences for 107 and 93. Go to events to show off drone racing.

After seven years of reinvesting every penny, 2023 was the first year we could finally take money off the table. I believe this is a major reason why most small companies fail within the first three years-patience is one of the most essential skills for entrepreneurs.
Lastly, I have an additional tip that might be helpful for those starting clothing brands: consider print-on-demand. It requires literally zero upfront investment.

Simon one thing, you tell people they can sell $5k of merch for a new ‘unknown’ brand but most people don’t have a huge follower base to instantly monetizes and access to willing collaborators.
You said you marketed it your followers which would be warm to hot leads for anything you do.
Feels disingenuous to ignore the biggest and most likely ‘important’ factor to success of brand which is visibility/reach.
Do most brands fail not because their products are terrible but because they struggle to reach potential customers? Even harder without paid advertising.
Also arn’t brands purchased because of their reputation and association which takes time, how do you get around this for a brand no one knows about and haven’t developed trust and brand loyalty.
I’m interested in seeing you do this experiment with one of your followers and not use your network and see if it’s as simple.
If you could pull it off I feel there would be more insights that would be more useful to viewers (myself included) who don’t have a network to leverage and have to build brand visibility from zero.
To be balanced and not throw the baby out with the bath water I think you have great advice, this elephant in the video was bothering me.

@@tylerdryman exactly my thoughts! I started a new brand 2 years ago and I’m still struggling to market it since it’s new and I don’t have a follower base to support me.. it’s not easy!

Totally agree. I come from the fashion industries and already failed 2 brands that I started.because I was unable to actually build a BRAND that people are willing to buy in. Making and producing nice products is actually the easiest part. But really getting people buy into something unknown is hard as there exist so many nice fashion products out there. As a consumer, I am the same. I dont buy into newcomer brands when I can save up to buy me a nice known designer branded piece

As a new investor, it's important to remember that investing and trading require more than just technical analysis skills. Discipline and emotional maturity play a significant role in achieving success. It's wise to keep in mind the adage of "time in the market vs. timing the market," as this mentality can help you weather market volatility. With insights of Donna Mikalonis and my commitment to learning and growth, I've been increasing my earnings in just a few months. Keep up the good work

I think I would like to add that it is much easier to have your product, in this case clothing, designed by someone who knows the target group very well.
For example: If you want to reach Gen Z, it is much easier to know Gen Z inside and out and to belong to it.

We are planning to open a coffee shop in each neighborhood of the city. Our aim is to start with the first location and gradually expand. The name of the business is "Kafeja e Lagjes," which translates to "The Neighborhood Cafe" in English. Our target customers are residents and offices located in the respective areas. We also plan to give back to the community, although the method of doing so is yet to be determined.
Do you have any advice on what we should focus on before starting?

Definitely focus on your target audience, I have been to spread out in the past and a clothing brand is a great idea for my audience. But I think I wanted to add more value and workout out how to include a free workout program/nutrition plan with every purchase. To help people new and that have lost their motivation. Thanks for the information:)

I'm going to get businesses to pay for their employees' mental and physical well-being because when people are pain free and feel good, they're happier, more productive, and thrive at work and life!
Like you said - make the team feel valued. In my case: the staff win, the business wins, and I fulfil my purpose so I win too!

I'm sending my HR manager an email if you can get this going. Lots of mental health training but something that helps with physical pains in-house would be great. I'm guessin your background is rehab?

    • @howtohealahuman
      @howtohealahuman Месяц назад

@@CyrilLeBopAmazing, thank you! For 15 years I've been an osteopath and in rehabilitation.
I got an injury myself and being self employed I couldn't earn when I didn't work. So I thought if people had access to help digitally or a training that they can refer to, they can get back to work faster.
Plus keeping mobile and stretching whilst at work prevents injuries cropping up.
The challenge I'm facing is I've always worked in clinics, so selling to a business is very foreign to me!

Hi Simon, thank you for the video! It was incredibly informative. Could I request that you film your next video like this with a fill light to bring more light on the darker side of your face. I’m finding it a little too distracting with the amount of contrast. Would be happy to help you with this if you need.
    Thanks again, 💚
