  • And we are get the truck stuck again! Today we are spreading several loads of base rock material installing a new driveway for our cabin in the woods. Using Dirt Perfects John Deere 120 excavator to load his Tandem Axle Dump Truck. We are lucky enough to be able to have access and rent this equipment for out cabin building project. Be sure to check out our other videos of the new road for the youtube yacht project.

    I know others have commented on the funeral and you taking the time to not bother them while the service was in process. That just goes to show what most of us that watch your channel already know,. You are probably one of the most courteous and considerate people when it comes to the feelings of others. It shows not only with you but it is obvious that you (and Chelsea as well) have spread that way of life to your family. Keep up the amazing work Cap. Look forward to watching the RUclips Yacht project grow.

    Love seeing that 755 being so productive and thankful the QA is still holding up. Thanks for the shout! I know a local contractor that had a dozer slide off the trailer just pulling out of his driveway, so wise move to chain down there. Anxious to see that chirt geology study video; love that kinda stuff so that would be interesting. I chuckled when you mentioned how embarrassing it would have been to leave those chains on the tailgate when trying to dump. Yeah, what kind of a doofus would do something like that? 😋 Great video Captain!

    All those cows had me cracking up! So much curiosity then a sudden NOPE! TOO CLOSE! TIME TO GO! 🤣 Forest critters curious about all the stakes and strings. Pretty sure they decided to play a little. Road and parking area turned out well despite the slight mishap getting stuck. Diff lockers are nice, but being able to lock in tandem axles increases the traction. Probably would've pulled itself out at that point. I never understood why trucks with tandem axels didn't come standard with lockers to tie them together. Half of the situations I've seen would've been solved with both (or all three) axels getting drive power! It'll be cheaper than a tow truck and save a LOT OF TIME!

    Nice video, and about the base rock material, we use something similar here in Denmark, called "stabilgrus" and it's the best base course material you can get, where there's no need for a sub-base course, and you can put the wearing course, or pavement, directly on top of it with no problems and it last for decades.

    Captain, it might be easier on the tractor to pull the pile apart with the pulverizer down the road. It might take several trips, but could be easier to level your road base. I have a boxscraper on my tractor 80-90% of the time. For counterweight and I use it more often for grading jobs.

    Kind of surprised the Chevy only has a power divider lock and not power divider lock and diff locks since it was a snow plow. Okay, load your gate, with latched. Then drop back down to just slightly up. Be in gear. Open gate start moving and raise bed as needed to empty. If you open and try to load and move you'll just make a mess, and make the hoop-de-do's. Same as going forward, load gate. Let bed down to just slightly raised. Be in gear. Start to move open gate and raise to kept empty even flow of material. It is easy! Now if road can not support the truck and sinks, then yes you will have to pile dump and spread with another piece of equipment!

    • @CaptainKleeman
      @CaptainKleeman  3 года назад +1

      Yup. Like I said in the video. But can’t re latch gate once it’s open. So if a fella spins out the restart is always a little rough.

    • @KG-yn9qi
      @KG-yn9qi 3 года назад +1

      @@CaptainKleeman let the bed down as soon as stop it will minimize the mess pile. Also that's why keep bed down low and only raise, To spread as needed. Load gate drop down to almost full down, start moving, then pop gate then move and raise slowly!

    Two men were playing golf when a funeral procession passed by.
    One man took off his hat, bowed his head and snapped to attention.
    His buddy commented that he was very impressed with his sign of respect.
    The first man said . . .
    Well, she was a good wife to me!

    great vid bud. people often ask why i never say goodbye. i used to at one time. i said it years ago to a dear friend not knowing it was our last time. from that day till now i always so see you later or catch you next time. the phrase goodnight sounds so close to goodbye and its often mistaken. not sure why i commented this other than you reminded me of it when you said goodbye. cant wait for next vid
