The Buff Indicator option within Elvui has slightly changed with the most recent update. Buff Indicator is now called Aura Indicator. It's still located in the Filters tab of the Elvui customization window, then under the Select Filter dropdown list you should find Aura Indicator. You can then modify each spell in the Select Spell dropdown list.
Glad to see the follow-up! The Buff Indicators on Raid Frame portion of the video was exactly what I was looking for after your first video. I did find after following this that selecting "Show when not active" on the filter screen for each of these during the set up portion assisted a lot in being able to see this across the entire "test" raid group to assist me in moving them around on the x/y axis over the health bars. Just got to be sure to turn that back off for each out them when you are done!
Damn, that's some nice, tender voice! I got the healing vibes just listening to the video. Keep up the good work, gal! Also, really neat info about the scripts.
I wish I had the desire to take the time to make my UI this nice! I do have to say, you're amazing in how thorough you are with showing where each change reside. Most people just mention the tab- but you take the step to circle the actual movement through the menus. Well done!
Thank you so much! Changing up or improving your UI can definitely be time consuming. Every time I think about switching things up I remember how much time I'd have to spend testing things out and tweaking things and I change my mind haha. If you can slowly work on parts of your UI then it's not as bad though!
Loved your first video Lauyria, as a restoration druid, that has healed in TBC, WoLK, coming back to WoW after a break and getting up to speed on your videos is a brilliant resource! Was scratching my head for ages on the Filters section for ElvUI, got it eventually! Looking forward to customizing my Exorsus Raid Tools setup now with your helpful tips! :D
omg thank you SO much! i was looking for exactly this for weeks but couldnt really find anything (because of elvui updates) this helps me out so much! i am so happy that i stumbled upon your channel :)
as a resto druid main, the colored icons for hots on the unitframes turned me away instantly. elvui always seemed so daunting to configure so i thank you for spelling it out clearly! bravo!
One of the best explanations for ELVUI and healing. Thank you very much. I have just one question: can party/raid frames change color when debuffs like fear, disease, poison are up?
Thank you! And yes, whenever there’s a dispelable debuff my raidframes will change color. If it isn’t dispelable but it’s something important that I should know a player has it just shows up as an icon on that player’s frame. The same for party frames too!
QUESTION: The font size on the textured icons for your aura indicators - how do I adjust this? The font is so small and I would really like to make it just a size or two bigger. It's hardly visible.
I have a UI Part 1 video that goes over a lot of it! The description in this video and in Part 1 have all the links to import the different parts of my UI. It's really just installing the various addons like ElvUI, Plater, Exorsus, etc. and then importing the different profiles I include in the descriptions! UI Part 1 can be found here: ruclips.net/video/n7DPIEOUsVM/видео.html I can also make a video soon that goes over how to install the addons/importing profiles/everything!
nice vids and very informative!im rlly new to wow and hated the ui since i started 4 days ago so ive been messing around with it alot so ty for this,i was wondering thou about your nameplate at the bottom tht has your character looking around .
Thank you so much! There are definitely some things I like and dislike about the classic Blizzard UI. But if you're using ElvUI, you can enable the character portrait on your player frame (like the one in the video) by opening the ElvUI customization panel (type /ec), then on the left side go to UnitFrames, then when all the information opens up click on Individual Units near the top, and then in the smaller list of tabs that appears click on Portrait (8th up from the bottom of the list). Make sure Portrait is enabled :) I'm not sure what ElvUI has it automatically set to, but I have my Overlay Alpha set to 0.5. This changes the transparency of the portrait. If you want it to appear more vibrant in your frame increase the number, otherwise 0.5 is a little faded and I think looks pretty nice!
@@LayriaYT lol originally i wanted to make my own elvui but its been a trip so now back to your very helpful vids to follow all fhe steps xD,ive checked out alot of ui and other than yours i dnt like any 😂,its an even bigger pain cause im come from ffxiv where i hv full control of my ui with just one button and a drag so this has been wild.
Hey, thanks for your video. I have question, is there a way in elvui frames that you see on frame that the target of healing is reachable, in line of sight f.e. you are behind pillar, door or something to not waste time to target that person
This is such a great question and one that has driven me crazy for a looong time. I haven't actually looked into it yet, but I've been meaning to play around with the Elv settings to get line of sight to adjust raid frames like they do with out of range players. I'll let you know if I'm able to make it happen!
Interesting! I've been hearing about a lot of changes like this since the most recent Elvui update. Open the Elvui customization window by typing /ec then click on the UnitFrames tab on the left side. Then scroll down until you see a section called Bars. There should find a dropdown list called StatusBar Texture. I use the Blizzard setting within that dropdown list.
i cant seem to get the textured icons to show up on my party frames. followed your video for raid frames and they are working fine, but i just cant get the party frame ones to show. i know i am missing just one simple step but cant figure it out. can you help please?

@@LayriaYT oops i didnt realise it was going to delete my ui the way i had it set up.lol i spent so long setting it up. oh well, ill let you know if it worked. ty for your response
I’m not sure what would be causing that; I tested the profile with a friend and it’s working for them. Triple check that you are not using any other installed addon specifically for raid frames or UI customization (like Shadowed Unit Frames, Vuhdo, etc). I know that if I have Nameplates enabled in Elvui AND the addon Plater enabled it just cancels each other out and doesn’t work

Yes, ElvUI has an option for this! I’m doing this from memory at the moment, but if you go to Unit Frames, then Group Frames, then Party there should be a dropdown list that gives you different options to sort the group.
I use ElvUI for my player and boss frames! The texture is Blizzard and there's a setting somewhere in the Unit Frames tab to turn on portrait within the health bar. The little dragon tail icon around the frames is from an addon called SimpleRareElite. It doesn't actually do anything, I just like the look :)

Awesome guide for someone new to some of the more in depth features of elvui, and other commonly used addons. Keep up the good work ! Do you have any blacklists set up for debuffs at the moment ?
Thank you so much! I just went through my blacklist spells but there's nothing on there specifically related to raiding (ghost, res sickness, exhaustion, etc.). These types of debuffs are hidden because I don't need to see them when I'm raiding.
@@LayriaYT Youre welcome ! Returning from Afghanistan later this month and looking to refresh my ui. Hoping to remove VuHdo since I think Elvui has caught up to a lot of the functionality it has. Do you happen to know if elvui can show an icon on a frame if someone uses a defensive cd or external?
