It’s so good to be back! I haven’t been this excited for a patch in a looong time :) it’s such a good time to be a druid! I still haven’t played Evoker yet this expansion, but it’s next on my list to level! I’ll probably have some sound WAs for some of those abilities!

Thanks for the info! Im thinking of elv ui and clique. I wasnt sure if it had a dispellable or not setting, but you cleared that up. Now I got to figure out how to set it up lol
I love using Elv and Clique together! The buffs and debuffs are very customizable, but starting from scratch can sometimes be overwhelming. I recommend finding a UI that you like, and then import that profile into your ElvUI and make some changes to it based on what you want in your UI. You can find a lot of profiles on wago.io/
Oh i spent 15 hours in total over 3 days on and off setting up my priest. Got mouse over macros, elv ui, and some of the other addons you mentions. I love the macros. I had to learn how to make macros, i had no idea. but i figured it out.

All pro presentation. Great work. When I kinda heal, I also like plater for the visual on dispell - ables; it's not often and I bet your MRT or WA handle alerts but I enjoy the visual on enemy lifebar it provides. Reese's, ✌️ us. Llap
Welcome back. I really love this type of video. I main resto druid since cata only for raid but for M+ I go with the META for push and easy invite :xD I am happy becusae I just get new pc and I want to change my UI :D this will help alot . thank you again keep the good work

Last time healing was back in Wrath, its absolutely insane how much depth healing specs have acquired. Normally used healbot but it looks like clique might be the way to go! Will see why healers are so spicy in M+ haha! Thanks for the pointers, great vid!
I didn’t heal back in wrath but I’ve absolutely loved healing since MoP! I hope you enjoy it too!
I used healbot for a long time as well. I would recommend vuhdo now tho. It's an amazing addon

Just getting into Resto Druid and my ui was so messed up. Elvui wouldn’t open when I tried importing a profile. I’m happy I found yours and will give it a try and hope it works

I also use sound alerts, but i made tiny text to speech wav files important spells XD

Great video, I've used MRT/ERT for a long time and never knew about the notes part. is there somewhere we can import profiles for when to use CDs?
Ooh that's a great question! You could probably find pre-written notes for your spec spell IDs and timings, but those might be hard to find online unless you know someone has else and can share them directly.

Thank you so much! And welcome to WoW! If you'd like to use the ElvUI profile I use, you can find it on Wago here: wago.io/IiPbCxFCN then click on "Copy Import String"
If you've installed ElvUI in the game, I have a video that shows you how to import the profile you just copied from Wago: wago.io/IiPbCxFCN
The ElvUI customization window looks slightly different now than in the video, but you'll still find the import button toward the top of the ElvUI screen. This is where you'll paste the string you copied from Wago.

you sound like a realy pro healer, im going from tank and gonna try to heal, but im not sure if this is to complicated or if youre just on another level
A lot of these addons can be used for any role or class! They're also not required necessarily, it's just that they provide more raid/group information for you to see. Let me know if you have any questions about these addons!
im curious, what is the draw to Clique for current wow instead of using the built in mouseover cast in the options they added with dragonflight? They do the same thing right? Or does Clique offer more features?
I find Clique much easier to set up than the in-game mouseover system, and if I remember correctly, I believe you can only use one keybind for each mouseover. For example, with Clique, I have my dispel and moonfire both set to shift 1. If my mouse is hovering over a player then I cast dispel. If I'm targeting a boss and my mouse is not hovering over a player then it casts moonfire. In general, I think Clique offers a bit more flexibility than the in-game system!
I use Grid2 instead of ElvUI frames. Quartz is useless with ElvUI, it has exactly the same setup I think.
Layria, could you please export your elvui profile and maybe the profile of the other addons, so we can use them too? :) please and thank you. By the way this video was a big game changer for me and really helped me understand these addons better.

I keep all my druid weakauras and profiles on Wago, including my ElvUI profile, Plater profile, efflo and lifebloom WAs, etc. There are some settings that don't export with an ElvUI profile, so you might have to adjust a few small things, but please let me know if you have any questions!

I would love to know how you set up MRT to track your personal cooldowns and the times to use them. I am new to MRT and can't untangle the addon. Thanks in advance.
Oooh that's a great video idea! I set up different columns/section of cooldowns based on what the abilities are (healer cds, interrupts, raid defensives, etc), then I go through the entire list of abilities in MRT and I assign the abilities to those sections. It takes a little while to set up at first, but once it's done you don't have to do it again!

Hello, may I ask you how you customized the group of 5 - i.e. the player windows with ElvUI? I can't do that with mine and place them next to each other. The windows are always one below the other.
Are you talking about ElvUI or another addon? For Elv, if you type /ec and then click on UnitFrames on the far left side of the customization window, then click on "Party" (or raid, or whatever frames you're trying to change), then there should be a size and positions section. You want to change the growth direction - this is the direction that new frames will be when new people join your group. I have mine set to "Right and then down" because I like my party frames to be horizontal. Let me know if this is what you were looking for!
@@LayriaYT Many thanks for the help. It's worked out. :) One last question: I have a question about the Aura Indicator. I want to set the aura icons in the group window to a different position than the aura icons in raids 1 & 3. How do I do that? Or is that not possible? How you do that?

does elvui let you have an arrow pointing to where the fool is that ran away from heals? that was the only reason I stopped using it, cause other options would say " THE DUMBDUMB WENT THAT WAY --> " :D
About moseovers, why still use macros when Blizz added it as a toggle option in the settings?
I don't use manual/custom macros, I just use Clique to assign mouseover healing keybinds. Clique is much more customizable and way easier to setup than the in-game, default feature

You don't need mouseover macros anymore. You can check it in the options menu and will make ALL your spells mouseover. Clique is not needed. Some people stil love it tho. So just wanted to Let you know. Good video! have a great night/day.
Thank you! Yes, the game now has its own mouseover healing configuration, but it’s a bit more limited than Clique. Definitely use whatever works for you though!
Clique gives so much more functionality than the default “mouseover” setting.
Mouseover macros are still useful because of other conditionals you can add to them, the ui setting doesn’t make macros obsolete

Hey Layria. I read that this used to exist. Im not sure how to do it though. I want elv ui to highlight or mark raid members that my aoe will effect with @mouseover before I cast it. I play disc priest and target healing is pretty much impossible without this setting. I have spent the last 8 hours trying to set up vuhdo because it has this built in. They call it cluster highlight and you can set the range based on radius or chain. So in my case, radiance spreads my atonements and has a 30 yrd radius . Vuhdo is clashing and glitching out with my addons and Im just frusterated. I like elvui and I want to use this, but I need this tool to help me. Any suggestions?
Hi! I don't think I have experience with this particular scenario. I briefly tried Vuhdo back in Legion, but I didn't use it for very long (maybe a week or two). There's a Vuhdo discord you could check though! I'm sure there's an "ask" section or maybe others in there have asked a similar question before
The link for the wago profiles does not work.

Hey Layria, i absolutly love your UI, but i noticed you have the dragon icon for elites on your target frame and i cant find a way to implement it myself. do you use an addon for it?
Thank you so much! I use an old addon called ElvUI SimpleRareElite. You can find it on WoWUp! It hasn't been updated in three years, but it still works perfectly fine for me. I love Blizzard's rare and elite dragon borders, so I was super excited when I found an addon that shows it :)

It sounds like you're just using Elviu for the font. I ditched it at the start of dragonflight and probably won't use it again. Just too bloated.
I do see what you mean about it feeling bloated! However, in my case, I started using it again mostly for the ease of having everything in one place and not needing separate addons for chat, your bags, raid/party frames, etc. I tried other raid frame addons and I would have had to configure everything all over again, plus find the font I wanted and manually add it to the addons folder. It was a hassle vs having the ease of disabling the features I didn’t want to use in ElvUI and instead using the features I’d already set up.
@@LayriaYT idk if you've tried the base ui since launch, but they've added everything elvui has into base. It's actually really good now.
I've tried it :D when Dragonflight first launched I messed around with the base UI and a couple of small addons, but the base UI doesn't allow all the changes that I want to make. I love the new cast bar, but you can only change the overall size, not the height or width and you can't add the target you're casting on and it doesn't show "ticks" for certain abilities like tranquility. I love that Blizzard has given some attention to the base UI, but there are several pieces of the base UI that still cannot be moved, hidden, or changed at all (micro bar, bag bar, etc).
@@punk6119 i see your point in checking out the base ui but they have definitely not added everything elvui has. The base ui has become a lot better but there's loads of features in ElvUI that you can't achieve in the base ui. It's not for everyone of course.
@@cro4262 for sure. Base ui covers most of what I need. There are a few things I hope they add next expansion. I doubt we'll see any more changes this expansion.
