I downloaded elvui last night & spent a couple hours trying to figure out what was where, where to look etc & got pretty frustrated as i've been using the old school original wow interface since i started 15 years ago lol. this video was soooooooooooo helpful. Thank you for saving my sanity :) The only thing i cant figure out from this is how to make it so the /ec interface is opaque instead of the current translucent style. I like the look of yours a lot better, easier on the ol' eyes :) Thanks again! edit: subbed! & you're a fellow Canadian!? sweet :D
I'm very glad to hear that I could help and thank you so much for the sub! :) ElvUI is definitely very daunting at first and it takes a while to figure out all the ins and outs of the addon. To change the opacity and/or colour of the interface, you can go to General -> Media and at the bottom in the Colors section, click on the box next to "Backdrop Faded Color". This will allow you to change the transparency of the menu with the sliding bar that appears in the pop up color wheel as well as change the color of the interface if you would like to do so. I hope this helps! Also I am a fellow Canadian from west coast BC! :D

@25:42 When you are explaining how to adjust unit frames > Raid Frames. Just hit the tab that says display Frames, and then it would of gave you 20 raid frames you could of adjusted for your demonstration.

Great and helpful, but I'm blessed with poor eyesight and have to have my UI large enough to see buttons, but can't seem to make the text smaller because it is HUGE and cuts off due to font size. Not in the chat box, in windows like trade skills and vendors. Where would I find this setting?

when i try to download, in the addon menu it said dependency missing. i downloaded it through the curse client, and it is the wow addons folder. please help. The ui doesnt even show up when i load the addon in game.

my chat wont show up and idk why. Tried reinstalling, redownloading and looking into settings. Nothing has worked, i have the chat box but anything that anyone says or posts just doesnt come up. i can /say and see my chat bubble come up but nothing in the chat box. Yes /s and /raid, /party is all enabled. Any suggestions? Oh, and this problem is only on one character. The rest are fine and everything is working.

Clicking V toggles Enemy Nameplates on and off; Control V Toggles All Nameplates on and off, and then I believe as long as you don't have a Keybind for Shift V like I do it toggles your friendly nameplates on and off. Hope this helps
The guide is amazing man, but how did you do your quest log? Mine looks absolutely terrible and I feel like I've tried everything. I downloaded a Quest Log replacer but it's buggy and the width is way too wide and non adjustable

Thank you!! I don't understand your first question unfortunately but to get your bags to pop up, you click the bag icon that is between the gold coins icon and the brush icon within your bags.
I watched the video and Thank You for making it.. This UI is very daunting when you first look at it.. That being said , I did not see how to switch Icons like the spell Icons to a different action Bar . I want to move them around and I have not found the unlock for them.. Maybe I missed it in the Video..
Yeah ElvUI is definitely daunting when first getting into it and takes a while to know the ins and outs of it. If you hold Shift while dragging the ability on your action bars, you should be able to move the ability even though the bar is locked. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Go to ActionBars -> Player Bars and choose the bar number you want (you can also use the comand /moveui and right click the bar you are looking to edit to bring it up in the menu). From there, at the bottom of the menu, click on Keybind Text and make sure it is Enabled.

why does elvui keep resetting my set up everytime I adjust something i have to reload and set up everything all over again
why is blizzard default chat box still on my screen I don't know how to remove it either
My hp bar changes color when l lose hp. Any way of turning that off? I would like it to stay class color.
