This video was so helpful, I've been playing since '08 and im back to TWW after 8 years of not playing, so much has changed and i cant wait to dig into everything new!
i dont know why but sometimes when i do something like kill a boss on a dungeon with a group my quests on the right side completly disappear afterwards only thing that helps is / reload no idea why

Hey man! Amazing video, following along was super simple and quick. I have one problem though, I tried to import on the strings, specifically the DK one and was successful, but the action bars seems to be translucent until I hover over it. I don't like this as I wanna see my abilities all the time and can't find the settings to change this. Help would be appreciated!
@@manzana36 so if you go into the elvui setting it's going to be under action bars and look for mousover uncheck that. If u still have a hard time I'll be streaming tomorrow stop on by and I'll show u

is the TUKUI client not worth using? im comming back to play, after a break shortly after BFA. i used TUKUI client to keep things updated, is this no longer a smart thing? Video helped refresh my memory on elvui, simple and to the point. also glad im not the only one to say, toodles!
Hi, the tukui client just makes it eaiser to update but i just always did it this way with moving the files its ur preference but i dont use it. glad this helped you out and omg were the TOODLES fam lol

someone help me out I followed the instructions on the video I have even rewatched it a few times to see if I had missed a step but it seems it isnt working for me. I log in to WoW(retail) and I type the command /ec and nothing appears I have reset everything a few times that invludes my addons but still nothing. Help a Fury Warrior out!

Thank you for the video! However I am still having an issue after following your instructions. I downloaded the most current ElvUi and extracted it to my Addons folder. But when I launch WoW nothing has changed, I don't get any prompts or messages. I even checked my Addons in game to see if I needed to enable it but I don't see it there. Any insight would be super appreciated! Thanks!
@@alidalton7408 I don't think that's an elvui prob if it's locked you need to use the authentication app on ur phone , it's wired but I had to do it like yesterday lol
Followed the steps to install elvui and put it into the addons folder. Booted up the game, and /ec doesn't work and it isn't in my addons list either (despite checking to make sure I put the elvui folder in the correct place no less than a dozen times and tried starting the process from scratch). If anyone happens to have tips, I'm all ears. If not, I will update this comment with how I fixed it when I figure it out. Downloaded elvui 10.74 and not 10.72, so the new version might not be working or something... or I'm doing something stupid XD
Thankfully I was able to find a pretty quick fix. Went to the tukui website where elvui is. In the top right, I clicked on the clients drop down menu and installed the tukui client. When I booted the client up, it read that elvui either needed to be updated or wasn't downloaded at all. I just clicked the button below the elvui symbol to update/install it and it worked instantly as if it had been there the whole time (because it was...)
@@zachary74135 hey bud! So the issue is usually ppl don't EXTRACT the file into the addons folder...give that a go, u don't want to just drop the folder In there you have to extract it
@@CFreshGaming I extracted the folder as you showed, but it created a folder for elvui, then put all of the subfolders under that. WoW refused to acknowledge it that way. I had to pull the 3 subfolders out of the master folder and drop them directly into the addons folder and only then would elvui show up under addons.
@@DrDingus When I initially right clicked to select extract I didn't see it as an option but I did double click and also got the folders... I also did the same step you did and it worked for me as well.
Elvui option menu is awful. Does EVERYTHING have to be black on black? Smh. Would it kill them to add some contrast to make it easy on the eyes? I hate it.
@@CFreshGaming Just found a "master class" tutorial on RUclips that shows you how to change it to whatever color. So much better. Stopped me from deleting ElvUI. lol

man i forget how to update it . i did what i thought i use to but still says in game not updated
just overwrite the files as normal and it should go away. i just had to the other day as well it was saying it was out of date.

Does downloading Elvui manually like this hold any benefit over using the curseforge client?

Hey bud make sure ur extracting ur elvui folding into addons don't just take it and drag it there, that's usually the 1st thing.

i dont believe you can get the base ELVUI package in Curseforge, only additional stuff for ELVUI
