You sir, are fast becoming one of my favorite contributors.. Please keep the content coming. I have been using bartender forever. I may just take a peek at dominos to see what its all about.
Happy to help! I usually play on a decent (but not crazy) laptop when I play for fun so the CPU stuff has always been interesting to me. Figured there was more laptop players like me ;)
ElvUI for me. Especially if you don't like the Blizzard's UI like me, ELVUI brings a lot of customization options to the table. Probably in Dragonflight, although Blizzard is going to renew the UI, I'll probably continue to use ElvUI if ElvUI devs keep their addon updated.
Great video, people dont realize how difficult some of these addons are, trying to help beginners set this up is difficult , now i can point them in the right direction if they have questions and i am using Dominos i can answer players easier thanks for the videos.
Is there a way to lock the buttons in dominos? I am constantly dragging a spell off the bars and into the abyss in the heat of battle and it's annoying. Bartender locks them down but I really like dominos now except that one small problem I can't figure out
I’ve loved bartender for years but recently have had major issues with it. I change a specific profile for a character that is only saved for them and it’s changing ALL of my hard settings on ALL OF MY CHARACTERS. Super frustrating. It’s completely reset all of my settings 4 times now. If I move an ability on my bars before an arena when I zone in it will have reversed my changes.
Just found your channel and it has drastically made my game experience better, if I could bother you with a recommendation, I play on two computers. A laptop to travel for work and a desktop at home. Is there an addon you recommend to have different key binds in both devices without having to fix every time I switch device?
I've used Dominos for 2 years now. I've got to say it's the best; simply because how easy and straight to the point it was. ElvUI honestly turned the game into FFXIV for me and it was a terrible experience, especially after having spent 4 hours of learning and another 4-5 hours of setting it up. And in the end, as much as I liked the result; it just changed the game too much. I even like the default UI. Just that unless you have a very expensive PC-ElvUI has more cons than pros in my opinion.
I just got bartender and when i activate a stance (shadowform or stealth) I get a brande new bar with different keybinds. With the original wow bars the abilities change but the key bind remains the same. Any ideas on how to do this?,
really love your content, plz keep going doing this amazing videos, what addon you use m8 for the marks in 2:20? edit: your gonna make a Dominos guide too?
back in the ye olden vanilla days, we have only 2 popular action bar addons, discord action bars, or flexbar. the former is the most customizable yet heavy, but often case turns out uglier one; whereas the latter, is such difficult to setup that, it didnt have a gui, and on the look department it has none, but what makes it shine is super high level of conditional switching bar pages (doe any1 still switch bar pages) so that one key can do multiple thing depending on the target.
Yeah, from all my testing I found that Dominos had the most intuitive bar page switching built in. I go over more of the details in the Dominos guide I made if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/cSnfgdU9bOk/видео.html
@@ArcaneIntellect haha, im a bartender user, and has been for over a decade, there is no need for me to switch. while the conditional switching is useful, it's essentially the same thing as conditional arguments in macro. that being said, my ui setup is heavily customised to my own need, and like you said, able to centre bars in x and y axes is the USP of bartender, i use this function to make my own hud (instead of relying other stuff, i train myself not relying on "for dummy" addons like weakaura and rotation helper), therefore, i kinda locked in. but then again, i have no complain.
I've looked into it quite a bit, tested bartender and ElvUI. But not dominos. The following is a statement as well as a question: Giving you have a good enough computer that fps is not an issue and that you plan on spending all the necessary time on it, I concluded that ElvUI was my best choice, paired/combined with weakauras I invested quite a lot of time and I couldn't be happier. Giving the mentioned premise before, would Dominos still be better than ElvUI?
WoWs default UI and Settings are still so set up for fail. So many add-ons should have graduated to a Blizzard version and been incorporated, baseline, to the default UI by now. New players gotta watch a youtube video on Settings setup. Then on add-ons for PvE or PvP. Then add-on setup time and again for every spec you swap to. Plus Alts. Repeat each patch when add-ons break. I already have a job I just wanna play the game and have it look dope AF by default.
Pizzahut also has great features and customization options! I wasn't sure if my computer could run it in all its glory so I had to leave it out sadly lol
2 years later and this is still helping us! Thanks!
3 years later still helping! Thank you
ElvUi take 4 days training setting up
ive never even heard of dominos before, i really like the idea of changing bars depending on dps or healing as a priest. very very good video thanks

Thanks Ronnie, I appreciate the support! Glad you are enjoying the content :)
Right when I get into CPU optimization, mostly for when I play on my laptop, you provide all this relevant content! Cheers!

Hey, 3:07, Yes doing it like this is helpful and you should continue to do it like this in future videos!
Awesome, glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the mention!

Glad to help, if you have any other groups of addons or guides you think would be helpful let me know!
Great video. I tried Bartender, but I'm sticking with Dominos
Thanks! Dominos has some really unique features and is so lightweight I love it.
Thank you for comparing these, now I can bash my friends for using ElvUI instead of Domino's or Bartender HAHAHA
Lol!
Without a doubt you make the best addon reviews I've found so far, you're like the best tech youtubers but for wow addons. 👍
Thanks! I appreciate the support! Looking forward to creating more content for Dragonflight/WotLK!
I just can't get my fingers off ElvUI :) Yes, I needed a lot of research, but this one pretty much covers everthing that I need.
Another great video! Thanks for your in-depth work.

This is the best vid on the matter… a little note, it would be nice to se rate the addons in user friendliness
Great point!
@@ArcaneIntellect actually, the “easy to setup” part is what I meant, the video is amazing, thank you!

Thank you for this videos!!! They’re super helpful on decision making👌
You're welcome! Happy that you are finding the content to be helpful :)
What team are you on? ElvUI, Bartender4, or Dominos?
Good job! This was helpful. Hopefully more people will find this useful when making their own decision!

Thanks for the support! The grid line addon is called Pixel Perfect Align.
And yes, I will be releasing an in-depth Dominos guide soon 👍

Should compare them in raid to see fps😊

Спасибо, понятно и по делу.
Dominos >bartender
For sure, love Dominos!
ELVui 🦾🦾
Oh yeah! ElvUI is such a nice full replacement of the default UI.
