Genre? Genre?? We don need no stinkin' genre! You faiked to mention founder/lyricist/2nd vocalist and rhythm guitarist the Mighty Miku Kobato! One of the most remarkable people on the planet! No lie.
Okay, names, pronunciation, nicknames, and roles, in order that they joined the band. Miku Kobato - mee-koo - Kuruppo, the Little Pigeon, the Little Engine Who Will - band founder, backing (and occasionally lead) vocals, rhythm guitar, principal lyricist, tireless Spokespigeon and PR machine. Wielder of weapons grade cuteness. Poker shark and horse racing fanatic. So determined to see her band succeed that she fired herself as lead singer (she decided her voice wasn't strong enough for hard rock), then went looking for a replacement. Learned to play guitar after the band was formed. Definitely eccentric, possibly insane. Kanami Tono - kah-nah-mee - Kanamincho or just Mincho - lead guitar, keyboards, principal composer and arranger. On stage, she's a savant mad riffer with a room temperature IQ and a huge crush on Saiki. In reality, she's a genius, and not just musically- she has a degree in economics with honors. A sweet, motherly woman who turns into a beast when you hand her a guitar. Akane Hirose - ah-kah-neh - A-chan, the Gorilla - drums, sequencing, snacks, the leader the band doesn't have. What you see is what you get- a cheerful jock with a huge appetite who burns off the calories murdering her drums. Completely unflappable. Frequently snacks between songs. Has been known to sign her banana peels and throw them to the audience. MISA - mee-sah - the Barefoot Assassin, MISA MISA MISA! - bass, booze, occasional wet work. Usually stone faced. Barely acknowledges the audience's existence. Always has a beer or a bottle of Jim Beam on her Orange amp. Originally, these were ways of coping with stage fright. These days, that's just how the assassin rolls. Saiki Atsumi - sah-ee-kee (but Psyche is close enough) - the Ice Queen, Sensei, Sai-chan - lead vocals, some lyrics, the "We're done" girl. Fashionista and train nerd. Regards her band mates, especially Kanami and Miku, with bemused exasperation. In total command on stage; hides behind Miku off stage (she's actually kind of shy).
Hey guys, Roger said check out FROM NOW ON which is a rock/metal/prog banger. Then DAYDREAMING for a power ballad. Satisfaction guaranteed. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Peace. 7.12
Band Maid self describes as a hard rock band, but do range all over the place. Their newest video, Bestie, is a emo-ish soft rock. There is a 2 songs in 1 video, Manners, and Black Hole that shows some of their scope. Blues rock to controlled chaos.
+1 to Manners/Blackhole Live Manners is the grooviest song BAND-MAID has done and this is the grooviest version of it. Black Hole is complicated. Not every ones taste. But, if you really get into it and understands its complicated structure it is fantastic.
Great Reaction, Welcome to Band-Maid Fellas! 130+ songs with nary a dud in the bunch. 10 Years of musical evolution and excellence that bends and often breaks its way across musical rules at will. One of the most fun and Surprising things about this band is that, once you "Think" you know them, they'll turn back and Surprise you again . Now I'm a Band-Maid to my bones kinda guy and don't usually go around promoting other bands but It seems like you guys were looking to scratch a particular musical itch at the start of the video.. So here are 3 bands that may do so . Uh oh yeah, also Japanese and all female and all talented in their own ways. Power Metal (Maiden & Priest style) = Love Bites; "Holy War" Alt Metal = Nemophila; "Rise MV" Core Metal (Harajukucore) = Hanabie "Pardon Me I have to go now MV" I think you will find yourself pleasantly surprised by all three But please keep the Band-Maid coming first and foremost, priorities and whatnot 😊
Roger Chance again?! Seriously, I watched at least 3 Band Maid reactions TODAY that were suggested by him. Best rock band on the planet, po! Pick any official MV or live performance. It will be your new favorite song. 10× years and still going strong!
Roger strikes again! Welcome to Band-Maid, guys. These ladies are even better than you think they are. Their catalogue is massive, and their songwriting is so good that you sometimes have to wonder if Mincho didn't sell her soul to the devil or something. They can and do play lots of different styles musically. You say you want ballads? A great power ballad like the kind you said you liked would be Daydreaming, but they've got more - both acoustic and otherwise. You want more songs that go hard? They've got LOTS, and I'd recommend From Now On MV (an instrumental). But a great plan also is to just pick one at random. Then when it turns out to be great, you'll realize sooner how f'ing good they are. They don't miss.
You also need to realize that this was song #27 out of 33 during a 3 hr 45 min long concert featuring only themselves! No Opening acts! Endless energy and stamina!
Roger!!!!!😃😅You're the man!!!!! Johnny, if you decide to get more into their music, you'll find they are one of the most talented and versatile "rock bands" out there. They can take on any rock genre incorporate it into their music and own it. Band-Maid has a worldwide audience of devotees. We call ourselves Maidiacs. Our legions are large and growing. Once people (including reactors) discover the band they have to see more of their work.
Welcome to the fandom! Like The Warning, they're more hard rock than metal. I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live) & Puzzle (live) BTW - Band Maid & The Warning are big fans of each other!
Welcome Masters of JBR. Master Roger chance has hooked you on our Maids. I agree with his next suggestions. "From Now On" is amazing and "Daydreaming" still holds as #1 or #2 for me...depending on my mood. Anywhoo....sit back, buckle your seat belts, keep your hands and feet in the car the whole time and enjoy the ride. Only 100+ great songs to go. PO!🕊 WORLD DOMINATION!!!🤘😆🤘
The Japanese metal/rock scene is the best in the world. Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila and Hanabie are all incredible & all female. Dive deeper, you will not be disappointed.
Band-Maid has a very large back catalog. You'll get a lot of recommendations and any of them will be great because everything Band-Maid does is great. Big range of styles but always their own signature sound.
Hello Gentlemen.. Nice reaction and welcome to the Pigeon hole... Band maid are Hard rock (generally? but can do pretty much anything they want..VERY WELL!!!) If you want Metal with Scream and clean vocals check out Nemophila - Ama-Te-Ras.. If you think you can handle it? If you want Metal check out Lovebites Break the wall Live. You are not ready for this, but you won't look back.. Enjoy.. Best wishes from France...

Thanks for your reaction to BAND-MAID Hate? You want a ballad? Daydreaming Want it bluesy? Manners Want it harder? Onset and from now on. Want some pure hard rock? Try Dice, Shambles,or Warning. Need your face melted? Black hole should do the trick Want something with traditional Japanese instruments? Secret Maiko Lips Whatever music you need BAND-MAID has it. Welcome to the pigeon hole PO! More BAND-MAID please!
We used to play 'Simon Says...' but Simon ain't got sh1t on Roger (Roger says "carry on down the mutha-lovin Pigeon Hole 👌👊💪🔥👍👍👍) Ballad?...get a bunch of Saiki's range and emotion on the 'Wonderland' Official Live ❤
The Warning is traveling to Japan to do a few shows with Band-Maid this summer! Band-Maid aren't metal, their genre is Band-Maid. They do what they want and cross all genres often in one song. Band-Maid doing Band-Maid things. There's a 2 song video that was recorded live in an online concert, Warning/Black hole. Sayonakidori live is an acoustic from their acoustic Christmas Concert where it's only 3 members and MISA (bassist) plays lead. Daydreaming is a ballad. The thing about the maids is it will be tough finding a song you don't like (if you don't, listen again and it will grow on you) and they are always coming up with things to surprise us. The acoustic concert. the Genshin Impact concert (one song), Band-Maiko with traditional dress and instruments. Dive in.
If you want versatility, you found the right band! You can't go wrong, any song (especially on headphones) has layers of instrumental and compositional genius. To get a beginning idea of their stylistic range, I would suggest the two-fer of "Manners" and "Black Hole" from one of their COVID-year livestreamed but unfortunately audienceless concerts. Then for a really emotional ballad/anthem/ appreciation of their fans, the live concert MV of "Endless Story." And that would just be a start 😊 E.g., one of the side projects ties in with your "Peace & Love" sign-off but it's probably not even the coolest one.
Gents I respectfully submit you both owe Roger (or as he is known to us - The Lord High Bishop of Maidiac Conversions) several beers for putting you onto these amazing Rock Goddesses, they are the real deal, enjoy the journey it's a great one, what a fcken band Po 👍🍻
@rogerchance9074 ROOOOOGGGGGGGGEEEERR, having some old friends over, haven't seen them in years, the Maids are blowing them away, as we'd expect, love what you do for our Goddesses Brother, Kanpai 👍🍻🍻🍻🍻
🐦 *Johnny Bender Reactions* 🐦 Welcome to the world of *BAND-MAID* (2013 - Present) A group of 5 young ladies from Japan that will rock your world: *Miku Kobato* (Kuruppo) = Lead Vocals / Rhythm Guitar *(Po!)* *Saiki Atsumi* (Sai-Chan) = Lead Vocals *Kanami Tono* (Kanamincho) = Lead Guitarist *Akane Hirose* (A-Chan) = Drummer *MISA* (MISA, MISA, MISA) = Bassist If you wish to continue down this Pigeon Hole 😊 you will enjoy over 100+ great songs you will start saying to yourself “This is my favorite *BAND-MAID* song”. _(No joke Po!)_ Below is a list of songs that will get you started *Choose Me(MV) - 2018* *Dice(MV) - 2018* *Real Existence Live - Zepp Tokyo 2018* *Blooming(MV) - 2019* *ONSET - Zepp Tokyo 2018* (instrumental) I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from: *2017-STUDIO COAST* *2018-Zepp Tokyo* *2020-LINE CUBE SHIBUYA* *2021-BAND-MAID ONLINE ACOUSTIC* In the end I realize that *BAND-MAID* more then just a band but a band that cares about each other and their fan base and in October of 2022 I had a fortune of experiencing them live and with that *BAND-MAID* cemented their Legacy into my heart. Rock On! 🤘 *100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back…*
The Maids have sooooo many OUTSTANDING tracks that it's totally normal to forget that some of them exist. Seriously, I'm not being hyperbolic (it's CRAZY). As we Maidiacs always say, "Your favorite Band-Maid song is the last one your listened to". Definitely check out what Roger and JKkansas recommended. GREAT songs! And then check out everything else that has been recommended...and THEN whatever hasn't (yet) been requested. You'll see. Thanks guys! 🕊
Band-Maid’s newest song Bestie is a ballad that in all English that is really good. Most of their songs are more upbeat hard rock with many different styles incorporated without losing that Band-Maid sound. They don’t have a bad song in their large catalog of music and many great MV and live videos for you guys to check out.
Welcome to the world of BAND-MAID. That was a really fun response, thank you very much. If you like ballad songs, "Day Dreaming" is recommended. Reactors all over the world are crying when they hear this song. It is a very rare phenomenon to shed tears while listening to a song.
Good reaction.👍 Band-Maid is one of my favorite bands, but they're just the tip of the iceberg. If you are interested in female Japanese rock and metal bands, I would like to recommend you: Nemophila: ruclips.net/video/yyKGK1Se4bo/видео.htmlsi=xnLcsX_NEN2uvawP Gacharic Spin: ruclips.net/video/Jt7-GGRa3nc/видео.htmlsi=5mdIdJhsBLQptlVW Doll$Boxx: ruclips.net/video/2NYUOaGKjLE/видео.htmlsi=exLAHNyqgp8BZTkW Lovebites: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.htmlsi=f3DywULyvuJHs2pl Other excellent and highly recommende Japanese bands are: Unlucky Morpheus: ruclips.net/video/PTuWOWF_0r8/видео.htmlsi=AhKfF1oSuQLgNKZ7 Wagakki Band: ruclips.net/video/hk1GtYK7BJM/видео.htmlsi=HRPITE2ojHzBhtlX Onmyouza: ruclips.net/video/F-csXOmZu7U/видео.htmlsi=8Z6qzGCnjiBAuDTO and One OK Rock: ruclips.net/video/PWGPuXJ3dKs/видео.htmlsi=4KXxjL9oyKNY4eSG The latter is very popular on RUclips.😎
This more like a great Rock/Metal fusion... If you want pure Heavy Metal with some scream... You want to check out a group called Nemophila... Again, five kickaXX Japanese women. Check out Nemophila starting with a song like "Dissention", "Seize the Fate" or "Revive"... Slower, you would be looking at a song like "Adabana"... Classic power ballad "Oydssey"... I prefer Official Live... but MV, it's all great....
I did a purge of my subscription list a few months ago, which I'm sure everybody does from time to time. I deleted more than a hundred but now I'm right back where I started from. Thanks Roger.😵💫
Band Maid! 🤘🏽 🔥 As killer as this performance is? “Hate” isn’t even in my top 30 Band Maid songs Based on what you liked here? “Moratorium” for your heavier one. “Daydreaming” for your midtempo.
The Warning and Band Maid have met and like each other and are going to play a show together in Japan in June. That ought to be something to see. BEST ROCK BAND ON THE PLANET. Hello again to Roger Chance, the Band Maid emissary. Watch MANNERS MV for slower, watch NO GOD live if you really want to see Misa (bass) go off for a little bit. Watch DOMINATION live if you want to cover all the bases. FREEDOM has a drum solo. DAYDREAMING for a sort of ballad. There is a plethora to choose from and Band Maid incorporates all kinds of genres into their music. Another great one is INFLUENCER. Have fun, you won't get bored. They also just did a collaboration with Mike(?) from Incubus called BESTIE for something slow and sentimental.
@rogerchance9074 Roger, can you leave a link on this comment? I've tried to find him but the RUclips algorithm is not revealing him to me. I looked immediately, tried hard. I'd appreciate a link. Thanks.
Did you say they "DOMINATED" those instruments? That's not all they dominate, they're out for world domination... check out the song Domination, live from their World Domination tour! ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html Great reaction, you guys noted the amazing bass playing right away, and picked up on the generally great playing and riffs, and you noticed that their genre is speed-rock-pop-punk-metal-funk-jazz-grunge-indie-blues-thrash-folk-emo... or as we Madiacs say, the genre is Band-Maid. So much more for you to check out, however, if you're willing to go down this "pigeon hole"! That includes not just a few ballads, which I think you're going to like, but also some crazy stuff like acoustic sets, instrumentals, and multiple alter-egos! Oh, by the way, you say that you're Warning fans? The Warning are fans of Band-Maid and vice versa, and in about a month, they're doing a couple of shows together in Tokyo to introduce the Warning to Japanese audiences. We're all wondering if a collaboration is in the offing between the two groups (Band-Maid's last single drop was a collab with Mike Einzinger from Incubus). Rock on!
If I was to make a list of who I believe are the best all-female bands in the world right now, at least half would be from Japan - Band-Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, Hanabie and Gacharic Spin. I have seen both Band-Maid and Nemophila live and will see Lovebites in September. Band-Maid's most recent full length album, Unseen World, is in my top 10 rock/metal albums of 2021. It is that good. Lovebites is a heavy/power/thrash metal band and, in my opinion, one of the best NWOTHM bands in the world. A good starting song is Set The World On Fire - ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html Nemophila is harder to classify but Metalcore is accurate for many of their songs. One of the first songs, if not the first song, released by Nemophila is Oiran. Here is a video of a live performance which was livestreamed because of the pandemic - ruclips.net/video/19VQ9tkWksQ/видео.html Hanabie is a band you need to go in completely blind. Here is a link to their song We Love Sweets - ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html Gacharic Spin is also a band that is hard to classify, but they have a funk rock feel due to their bassist (who is up there with Misa, the Band-Maid bassist). They also have a member I consider the Dave Grohl of Japan because she is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (she is on drums in my suggested music video). The song is called MindSet - ruclips.net/video/QmL0V667QzI/видео.html Enjoy!
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26 last year. The ladies are great. Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". This feature is very different from other Asian countries and the history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Band-Maid is great! I have seen them live many times and they are a fantastic live band...They are hosting a show with the Warning June 12 in Japan...Wish I could go...those 2 together will be epic...
Ballad? You want a freaking ballad? Easy…. Daydreaming MV. Thanks for reacting to one of my favorite bands. I got to see them live 2 years ago. These ladies can do it all…punk rock, prog rock, hard rock, ballads, acoustic sets etc.
BAND-MAID consider themselves more Hard Rock than Metal, but they play all sorts of genres, so they certainly have some Metal influenced songs. If you like some examples try, 'Rinne', 'Black Hole', 'Different' and 'Shambles'.
Band Maid are more rock than metal. Some of their songs have metal elements, some have pop rock styles. Please don't think they have many heavy metal songs in their repertoire. They are a fantastic rock band with many excellent tracks to their name. If you want a female heavy metal band, you will enjoy Lovebites. They do not have one bad track in my opinion. Their metal style is varied. Depending on the song, you can hear Slayer influences, Iron Maiden influences, Motorhead influences, DragonForce influences etc. As a suggestion try their song: Raise Some Hell. Go to Lovebites Official RUclips channel and you will see a live performance listed.
Thanks for the reaction and comments. These ladies are FIRE!!!!! They exude pure joy and energy. Arguably the best live band on the planet and each member are certainly the most likeable.
Most would say more "hard rock", but really they have dozens of influences that colour their music. Some is more "metal", some more "punk", some more "country" - and they also have their "accoustic" nemesis "Band-Maiko".
Band Maid and The Warning will be performing together in Tokyo June 12, 2024. Band Maid will be releasing their 9th full album this Summer, and they have already collab'd on a song with Mike Einziger (Incubus) and hoping for the same with The Warning. Btw, Band Maid and The Warning 1st met at Aftershock 2022, and are fans of one another, Po! Great 1st reaction, Sirs! Down the Pigeon hole we go, Po! 🦍🍌
If you want to stay in Japan and want heavy metal give some of these popular Babymetal songs a listen. ( Don't let the name fool you they sell out arenas, and cover heavy metal, EDM, jpop all into one...but I'm only listing the heavier tracks from older to newer), (Babymetal is best enjoyed live, however there only one MV where I prefer over the live version ). 1. Megitsune music video (off first album). 2. Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live (highlights the kami band behind the girls, invite only arena, heavy Nightmare ballad song, and probably the best bass player from the East). 3. Maya live at pia arena (off new album) BMTH Kingslayer ft BabyMetal live in Tokyo (had to throw this on the list even if it's a feature 🔥💯🎶). Oh and be sure to check out Band-Maid FROM NOW ON song!!
Welcome to Band-Maid! The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. They aren't really a metal band, though they dip their toes into it. They don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 11th year with the original line up. Btw, Miku the rhythm guitarist (red rose) formed the band. She had the idea of Band-Maid after working as a maid in Japanese maid cafe's. Her idea is a concept called "The Gap" - that is what you see (cute maids) is NOT what you get (Hard Rock/Punk/Metal). They take the maid café concept literally. They call their concerts "servings" and their fans "Masters and Princesses". Oh, and Miku is an 810 year old small pigeon. Welcome to the pigeon hole Po!
All their songs are different ; ) They even have one called "Different" and it js, as it sounds different from their other different songs. The more you do the more you'll see how different they can be.
Yes Band Maid one of the most overqualified Bands, in principle evety of their artists could compose, but in fact Kanami composes a song in principle butvthen they modify and add sometimes lyrics. Especially Misa (Bass Guitar and Akane Drums) have the tendency to change theirvDesignations if the Song needs it.
Maybe it's time to meet 5 beautiful ladies in high heels and dresses playing classic heavy metal? For starters, I recommend the song Break the Wall from their earlier albums. Boasting over 70 hit singles, they won Best New Metal Band at the Metal Hammer Awards in 2018. The girls play heavy, thrash, power and prog metal, they also have some beautiful ballads. Break the wall ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html or Nameless warrior ruclips.net/video/Dl29tiJCbNM/видео.html
They often get described as "metal", but they're really more like Hard Rock with a Punk twist. But they have a lot of songs, and they have a number of different styles. Hard rock really is their taste for much of it. I'd stick to the "Live Videos" more than the studio "Music Videos". They put a lot extra into each live performance. They also have softer semi-acoustic stuff they do under the "Band-Maiko" name. (Band-Maiko is Geisha themed costumes rather than Maid themed of Band-Maid)
Man, I hope someone is allowed to record that The Warning and Band-Maid concert. I would also love to see some backstage photos and some inerviews with members of both bands about the show. By the way, no diss to any other band, but I feel MISA and Akane are the most intuitively "rhythn section" in rock.
Rinne (omv), Shambles (omv), Domination (official live), About Us (official live), Puzzle (official Iive), From Now On (omv) then every other recording they have made! Can’t miss….
Johnny Bender n Friend , Welcome to BAND-MAID , Enjoy your journey down the Pigeon hole , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! the Barefoot Bass Assassin, next , Domination ( official live ) or Daydreaming (official MV ) , btw BAND-MAID is Hard Rock not Metal , actually BAND-MAID is there own Genrie .
It's amazing how Band-Maid has rewritten the laws of nature: Hate brings Love! 😖--->🎀--->😍 btw - I’m still watching the incredible "BAND-MAID 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR SPIN OFF" live-stream concert (on Zaiko). Listen fans and Maidiacs... seriously, if you've ever seen Band-Maid live, you know they play at an extremely high level of performance and execution. And there is no band that I'm aware of playing today, other than The Warning, that has a more extensive catalog of majorly awesome songs. I would place this concert among the top of all Band-Maid concerts for insane playing, setlist, and audio quality, and is even better than Yokohama for an audio experience from video, imo. To put it simply, this concert punches hard and totally worth the few bucks to experience it! When I was watching it, I was thinking about how The Warning, following Band-Maid (I believe) at their June 12, 2-man concert, is going to feel about it! I know I wouldn't want to follow the Maids! However, The Warning has all the earned confidence in the world! 🎀🤘😜🤘🎀 The concert is available to view on archive until 2024/05/28 (bandmaid.tokyo/contents/742715) Thx, JB & Dave!
Harder song? Moratorium Ballad? Endless Story If you want REAL Japanese metal tho ( Band-Maid are hard rock), you have to try Lovebites- Hammer of Wrath. An Iron Maiden like assault of duel guitars. Or perhaps a hardcore gutteral scream and Tokyo pop fusion that'll blow your mind and speakers with Hanabie-We Love Sweets. Or try Nemophila-Oiran for some amazing vocals and guitar work.
Nemophila also dropped that 80s metal power ballad just recently... just sayin'. Showing off their versatility. Doesn't always have to be all girl bands, tho! Other favorite Japanese bands for me are Asterism and One OK Rock (who I saw open for Muse!)
Japan has dozens of all Female Bands that play guitar better than their male counterparts like Band Maid,Lovebites,Nemophila,Bridear (with a new album out Still Burning MV also),Aldious,Mary's Blood,Show-Ya,Gacharic Spin (React to Mindset MV), Hades and East of Eden Female led bands that I'd recommend Hal-Ca on Guitar Asterism, and the ever brilliant band Unlucky Morpheus Check their song Cadaver/Revadac
Dudes came here to see "hot chicks play metal" and actually got blown away by extraordinary musicians 😏 Well, that's how it's ought to be with Band-Maid.
Especially with the new outfits any claim that bandmaid uses sex to sell is nonsense. Are they all attractive, yes but it's definitely the music and their all in approach to live performance that are the real selling points.
I can tell this will be one of David's favorite bands. They got a lot of 80's 90's 2000's influence, some songs particularly pointed towards each of those but with modern influence.
You will find bands that stay in a harder lane, bands that are more animated but you wont find a band that is more willing to just create without regard to genre, has consistently good to great composition and are absolutely a blast live. They can do whatever they decide and do it well.
You guys will find no end in the catalogue of Band Maids songs just one great song after another. You are on the beginning of a great journey of wonderful music.
Band Maid are special. They have their own unique style and sound.
Saw them supporting Guns n Roses in Tokyo a couple of years ago.
BAND-MAID is more of a Hard Rock band.
BAND-MAID will have a joint concert with The Warning, when The Warning is touring in Japan in June
@rogerchance9074 Thank YOU for suggesting so many reactors to BAND-MAID👍
I’ve never seen so many increase in this short period of time😅
Genre?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Peace. 7.12
Thanks for this reaction request and for FROM NOW ON!
@@tonygriffin_ +1 for From now on
Band Maid self describes as a hard rock band, but do range all over the place. Their newest video, Bestie, is a emo-ish soft rock. There is a 2 songs in 1 video, Manners, and Black Hole that shows some of their scope. Blues rock to controlled chaos.
That was song #27 out of 33 at their big 10th anniversary concert last November. These ladies are as legit as they come.
Band Maid is the best hard rock band in the world!!! Welcome to the Band Maid world and enjoy it!!!
Band Maid is the genre. Manners/Blackhole double video would show you their range. Day Dreaming for the power ballad.
+1 to Manners/Blackhole Live
Manners is the grooviest song BAND-MAID has done and this is the grooviest version of it.
Power Metal (Maiden & Priest style) = Love Bites; "Holy War"
Alt Metal = Nemophila; "Rise MV"
Core Metal (Harajukucore) = Hanabie "Pardon Me I have to go now MV"
I think you will find yourself pleasantly surprised by all three But please keep the Band-Maid coming first and foremost, priorities and whatnot 😊
Roger Chance again?! Seriously, I watched at least 3 Band Maid reactions TODAY
that were suggested by him.
Best rock band on the planet, po!
Pick any official MV or live performance. It will be your new favorite song. 10× years and still going strong!
The Maids are absolutely the best band on the planet
Fuckin ambassador chance strikes again po!
Wherever Roger shows up is anything but Chance. 🤔
I suggest these Band Maid songs: Thrill, Dice, Manners, Bubble, No God (live) & Puzzle (live)
BTW - Band Maid & The Warning are big fans of each other!
Congratulations on discovering the #1 band in the world today. Enjoy the ride!!
Want a power ballad, try "Daydreaming" 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂🕊
Band-Maid has a very large back catalog. You'll get a lot of recommendations and any of them will be great because everything Band-Maid does is great. Big range of styles but always their own signature sound.
Get a big wheel with all the songs, spin and play the one that it lands on; good chance you will like it😁
Love Band Maid but if you want all girl Japanese metal with growls check out Oiran live by Nemophila
Boys, there is lot of great music ahead of you. The Maids are absolutely fantastic
Love the 80s ballard? You gotta check out "Day dreaming".
Ballad: Daydreaming
Instrumental ( heavy metalish ): From now On or Onset
Only 130 other fantastic songs!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Gentlemen.. Nice reaction and welcome to the Pigeon hole...
Band maid are Hard rock (generally? but can do pretty much anything they want..VERY WELL!!!)
If you want Metal with Scream and clean vocals check out Nemophila - Ama-Te-Ras.. If you think you can handle it?
If you want Metal check out Lovebites Break the wall Live. You are not ready for this, but you won't look back..
Enjoy.. Best wishes from France...
Daydreaming, one of the best songs this century. It's hard to pick a favorite because it changes for me week by week.
Metal would be Lovebites. Band Maid just kicks ass on everything

Hey Johnny and pal,
welcome to the world of Band-Maid.
Glad to have you on this journey.
Thanks Roger ;-)
Thanks for your reaction to BAND-MAID Hate?
You want a ballad? Daydreaming
Want it bluesy? Manners
Want it harder? Onset and from now on.
Want some pure hard rock? Try Dice, Shambles,or Warning.
Need your face melted? Black hole should do the trick
Want something with traditional Japanese instruments? Secret Maiko Lips
Whatever music you need BAND-MAID has it. Welcome to the pigeon hole PO!
More BAND-MAID please!
I suggest two instrumentals: "On set" and "From now on". And then "Domination" LIVE. You will like them for sure
His Holiness TinyHat-san welcomes you to the Unseen World of Band-Maid on the road to World Domination.

@rogerchance9074 Certainly 😄👍🍻
@rogerchance9074 Just subscribed with a shout out to you Brother. 👍Po🍻😄
BAND MAID is simply the best hard rock band going ... anywhere. If you want screaming try Hanabie - We Love Sweets.
After 10 years being together they have an extensive catalog covering just about every style or genre of music out there.
atta boy Roger!
I'm tellin' ya, the 9074 family is on a crusade.
Coincidentally The Warning and Band-Maid have a concert together in Tokyo on June 12, 2024. 🤩💜
🐦 *Johnny Bender Reactions* 🐦
Welcome to the world of *BAND-MAID* (2013 - Present) A group of 5 young ladies from Japan that will rock your world:

*Akane Hirose* (A-Chan) = Drummer
*MISA* (MISA, MISA, MISA) = Bassist
If you wish to continue down this Pigeon Hole 😊 you will enjoy over 100+ great songs you will start saying to yourself “This is my favorite *BAND-MAID* song”. _(No joke Po!)_
Below is a list of songs that will get you started

*Dice(MV) - 2018*
*Real Existence Live - Zepp Tokyo 2018*
*Blooming(MV) - 2019*
*ONSET - Zepp Tokyo 2018* (instrumental)
I discovered *BAND-MAID* in 2019 and came to a realization that *BAND-MAID* more then just a rock band they are a band that does not have any boundaries and is willing experiment into different genre from (Blues, Rock, Punk and Jazz) and a lot of fans including me would say “you got to check out their live videos” from:
*2017-STUDIO COAST*
*2018-Zepp Tokyo*
*2020-LINE CUBE SHIBUYA*
*2021-BAND-MAID ONLINE ACOUSTIC*
In the end I realize that *BAND-MAID* more then just a band but a band that cares about each other and their fan base and in October of 2022 I had a fortune of experiencing them live and with that *BAND-MAID* cemented their Legacy into my heart. Rock On! 🤘
*100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back…*
Manners and afterlife would be two great songs to check out. Any song you pick will be good.
Congratulations, gentlemen! You have just found THE gem!
10 years and 120+ songs of pure greatness 🔥❤️🤘 Magical band. They have it all..Passion Work Heart Talent. Maybe best liveband ever in this planet.
Cĥeck out nemophilia ,trident, love bites and hanabie all japan girl rock bands
Master Class indeed...sums up Band Maid very accurately.
THE best Hard Rock band in the last 4.8 billion years.
4.9
@@theerayundar6204 I knew I should have added "approximately"! 😂🤘
Shambles Live is from this is same concert. If you want something hard, this is pretty hard.
Welcome to the world of BAND-MAID. That was a really fun response, thank you very much. If you like ballad songs, "Day Dreaming" is recommended. Reactors all over the world are crying when they hear this song. It is a very rare phenomenon to shed tears while listening to a song.
Good reaction.👍
Band-Maid is one of my favorite bands, but they're just the tip of the iceberg.
If you are interested in female Japanese rock and metal bands, I would like to recommend you:
Nemophila: ruclips.net/video/yyKGK1Se4bo/видео.htmlsi=xnLcsX_NEN2uvawP

Lovebites: ruclips.net/video/bgAxpEpEcno/видео.htmlsi=f3DywULyvuJHs2pl
Other excellent and highly recommende Japanese bands are:
Unlucky Morpheus: ruclips.net/video/PTuWOWF_0r8/видео.htmlsi=AhKfF1oSuQLgNKZ7
Wagakki Band: ruclips.net/video/hk1GtYK7BJM/видео.htmlsi=HRPITE2ojHzBhtlX

One OK Rock: ruclips.net/video/PWGPuXJ3dKs/видео.htmlsi=4KXxjL9oyKNY4eSG The latter is very popular on RUclips.😎
I just don't add the ones that are obviously fluffing to gain subs.
You've been Rogered, Po!
Band Maid Warning Music Video is wild she plays the guitar on the roof of a moving vehicle Thrill is also a great tune
Band Maid! 🤘🏽 🔥
As killer as this performance is? “Hate” isn’t even in my top 30 Band Maid songs
Based on what you liked here? “Moratorium” for your heavier one. “Daydreaming” for your midtempo.
Roger, Roger, Roger...
You da man!
*BAND MAID!!*
🕊🕊🕊
@rogerchance9074 For you, Roger, I will. I'll go there right now.
@rogerchance9074 Roger, can you leave a link on this comment? I've tried to find him but the RUclips algorithm is not revealing him to me. I looked immediately, tried hard. I'd appreciate a link. Thanks.
Did you say they "DOMINATED" those instruments? That's not all they dominate, they're out for world domination... check out the song Domination, live from their World Domination tour! ruclips.net/video/QbyQCJn6rYg/видео.html
Great reaction, you guys noted the amazing bass playing right away, and picked up on the generally great playing and riffs, and you noticed that their genre is speed-rock-pop-punk-metal-funk-jazz-grunge-indie-blues-thrash-folk-emo... or as we Madiacs say, the genre is Band-Maid.
A good starting song is Set The World On Fire - ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html
Nemophila is harder to classify but Metalcore is accurate for many of their songs. One of the first songs, if not the first song, released by Nemophila is Oiran. Here is a video of a live performance which was livestreamed because of the pandemic - ruclips.net/video/19VQ9tkWksQ/видео.html
Hanabie is a band you need to go in completely blind. Here is a link to their song We Love Sweets - ruclips.net/video/G18yyvPCiTM/видео.html
Gacharic Spin is also a band that is hard to classify, but they have a funk rock feel due to their bassist (who is up there with Misa, the Band-Maid bassist). They also have a member I consider the Dave Grohl of Japan because she is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist (she is on drums in my suggested music video). The song is called MindSet - ruclips.net/video/QmL0V667QzI/видео.html
Enjoy!
Couldn’t agree more! Nice summary! I urge the guys to check them out too!
(Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz".
@rogerchance9074 I’d blame too much work and beer.
BAND-MAID consider themselves more Hard Rock than Metal, but they play all sorts of genres, so they certainly have some Metal influenced songs. If you like some examples try, 'Rinne', 'Black Hole', 'Different' and 'Shambles'.
Roger Chance にたくさんの愛を
Ha. The Warning are super fans for Band Maid. No lie. I am expecting a collab with this band and The Warning on Band Maid's upcoming album.
For a slower type song I would recommend their latest release 'Bestie' to be on their forthcoming album.
3. Maya live at pia arena (off new album)
BMTH Kingslayer ft BabyMetal live in Tokyo (had to throw this on the list even if it's a feature 🔥💯🎶).
Check out their song "Corallium" Live. Amazing vocals!
Thanks!
The Warning and Band Maid are doing a concert together in Japan soon
Band Maid is a great rockband now you need to check out japans best female metal band Lovebites 🤘
Dude, asian Runaways is bang on.
Best band on the planet 🔥🔥🔥🔥🎎🤘🎎🤘
Moratorium
Ballad? Endless Story
If you want REAL Japanese metal tho ( Band-Maid are hard rock), you have to try Lovebites- Hammer of Wrath.
I second this!
For more metal metal, check out Nemophila.
Hot Japanese girls playing metal? That is Lovebites! They are the best heavy metal band on the planet today.
Dudes came here to see "hot chicks play metal" and actually got blown away by extraordinary musicians 😏
Well, that's how it's ought to be with Band-Maid.
Suggestions : heavy, Rinne ; ballad, Daydreaming both available on their channel.
