I grew up listening to Van Halen and AC/DC. I got up in the middle of the night for the live stream of this show. This was 27th of 33 songs! The energy these ladies brought was EPIC! They mix and match different styles of play in their songs. I never get bored listening to BAND-MAID. Doesn't matter who I start listening to, I always end up putting on BAND-MAID.
Same... I grew up in 80's and 90's Rock/Metal and my All-time favorite band is Iron Maiden. I hadn't been in a concert since the mid 90's. I was lucky enough to catch Band-Maid live in Houston 2 years ago, and they restored my faith in good music.
This is Rolling Stone's review of Band Maid at Lallapalooza this year. The second Japanese band to perform there. Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that. Fluctuating between hard rock, aughts nu-metal, and pop rock, each member of the quintet is a virtuoso in her own right with more than a decade of practice in Band-Maid alone. They lured curious onlookers into the fold when highlights like “Domination” and “Don’t You Tell Me” got huge reactions from the crowd, but it was the bass solo-versus-guitar solo duels mid-song that got the biggest cheers. This is what those guys in Guitar Center think their ridiculous riffing sounds like. Turns out it’s done best, and most effortlessly, by women in black-and-white maid dresses and frilly hair-pieces as they smile ear to ear. -N.C.
I love ALL their songs, including "Start Over". 🤣 It's best too not make lists, who needs the stress. Just sit back and enjoy which ever song is playing, with 130+ songs of varying genres, outfits, languages, or instrumentation. you'll never get bored. 🤘
Time to meet the ladies! Miku Kobato "Little Pigeon" - band founder - rhythm guitar and second vocals. Main lyricist. Claims to be an 810 year old pigeon and makes pigeon noises when she speaks. Po! Very good at poker, really into horses and horse racing. Very clumsy, may fall into ditches. Has the energy of an average nuclear power station mixed with weapons grade cuteness. A comedian onstage - literally! She is the heart and soul of the band. Saiki Atsumi "The Ice Queen" - Lead vocalist and frontwoman. The youngest member at 30. Into train spotting and collecting trainers (sports shoes). Very girly, into doing her nails and is a fashion icon. Really into Baseball and the Hanshin Tigers. Don't mess with her you will lose. But she has a heart of gold and a killer dry sense of humour. Recently started writing lyrics. Has final say on songs. Kanami Tono - "Kanamincho" but usually just "Mincho" for short. Lead guitar and an absolute genius songwriter. Total riff machine. Has two personas. Normally a tiny cute shy very polite lady who seems very innocent (the band have to explain dirty jokes to her). Until she puts on her guitar. As the band say: "then she gets quite violent" - she turns into the shredding rock star she is. Takes guitar off, back to the little girl. Likes cakes, coffee and is totally infatuated by Saiki. She adores Saiki very much, to everyone's amusement. Akane Hirose - "The Gorilla" on Drums. Seems to be the sane member of the band, but is actually the band clown. Has an enormous appetite, seen eating in a lot of MV's. Eats a lot of bananas including on stage, hence the nickname. But she is terrible at actual cooking. Usually has a big grin on her face while drumming manically, Akane was also a DJ (under the name DJ Achi) and likes dancing and goofing with MISA. She also plays trombone! MISA (all caps, no last name) "The Barefoot Assassin" on bass. An absolute bass prodigy, MISA is very shy onstage (and a total clown offstage with Akane). Nickname comes from the fact she plays barefoot and looks like an assassin. Because of shyness often drinks onstage, you can often spot a bottle of Jim Beam on her amp. She drinks it neat. Lately drinking more beer than whiskey though, good girl. Doesn't say much, but when she does it's usually totally hilarious! At a lot of concerts you will hear the fans chanting MISA! MISA! MISA! which has become a slogan.
Since The Warning Army gave us Maidiacs some love over at another reactor's channel, by suggesting Band-Maid to them, I'm gonna throw some love back to them by suggesting that you guys should react to The Warning "Evolve". The MTV music awards video to be exact. It was a amazing show, with high level energy. Band-Maid and The Warning are friends, and they are doing some shows in Japan, and HOPEFULLY they will be doing more together while they are hanging out over there.
Hell of a band right here guys, very talented musicians. There's this band from Mexico called The Warning that's in Japan now getting ready to support Band-Maid and probably jam together. The concert is on the 12th. I would like to request, if I may, a song by TW, called Automatic Sun at the Pa'l Norte Festival, it's worth a listen, peace.
I really enjoy watching people faces when they realize just how good these ladies are, the smile on Jimmys' face when the bass and lead started dueling, exactly what i watch for, i found these ladies in 2018 and they never disappoint, my new hobby is watching first reactions (i watched your first one also) it is amazing how these ladies affect people, also these ladies have a huge following of other musicians
I will, i will. Like when you joined YT & i said "Welcome to the Maidiac community, Jeremy, Marry me" And then you jilted me at the altar cos you said you loved BAND-MAID more, but we still get on great don't we?🤣
@@GaryHolloway-810 But much like the great couples in history Adam and Eve , Cleopatra and Anthony,Bert and Ernie,Homer and beer Kanami and Saiki are stuff legends are made of.🤪🤪🤪😁😁
The fans called themselves Maidiacs. The pigeon thing is best explained from this post on reddit "Miku’s last name, Kobato (小鳩) is composed of two kanjis: one meaning small (小) and the other meaning pigeon/dove (鳩). Hence Kobato can also mean “small pigeon/dove”. She adopted the pigeon persona to match that. In Japanese language, the onomatopoeic sound that pigeons/doves make is kuruppo (くるっぽ) or simply po (ぽ). So Kobato makes that sound too."
I would say, to show their variety, you should try their song endless story (live). It is a slower song and is from the same concert as hate. IT is one of their songs they use to close out the show and it closed out a 3 and a half hour show. have fun!
It seems we have new Madiacs¡¡...Welcome¡ What else can I say that hasn't been said in the other comments, well one fact, they have a catalog of approximately 140-150 songs, last year they toured in Japan and the US, in each show they present between 22-25 songs, between All those shows presented more than 70 songs from their catalog, crazy, and ended with this concert at the Yokohama Arena with 33 songs and 3 and a half hours of show, and as if that were not enough, they did an acoustic concert shortly after, and if that were not enough A couple of months later they did another concert with 22 songs that included many that were not presented in Yokohama, tell me a single group in the world that does that today. My recommendations: Shambles, Don't you tell ME, Why Why Why, From now on, On set, for start.
We are Maidiacs. Miku (the rhythm guitarist, 2nd vocals with red rose) is a 810 pigeon. The drummer Akane is a gorilla, and MISA, the bassist is the Barefoot Assassin. Po is what pigeons say. 🕊️
Bandmaid have a fun side and are the most audience interactive band out there . This is a good example why we love them . follow them and support them ... youtube search this Miku's Magic Time! (BAND-MAID at Tufnell Dome, London-po! .. .....great reaction :)

MISA the barefoot assassin on bass. Akane the Gorilla on drums. Miku the small pigeon on rhythm and backing vocals. Kanami The Riff Goddess on lead. Saiki The Ice Queen on vocals.
You have opened the floodgates. They may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative band since the Beatles, and they are top-tier musicians. I saw many of the classic rock bands - Purple, Zeppelin, Queen, Santana, many more, all in their heyday. I’ve seen Band-maid three times and their performances stand up to any of those legendary bands. Just a crib sheet to help you remember their names: Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994 MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992 Kanami Tono - Lead guitar, Main composer and arranger Born Sept 28, 1991 Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991 Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990
Band-Maid is a great live band. My introduction to them was the live videos of "Play" and "Choose Me," however I am going to take a contrary position here and recommend some MVs in 3 different types. Softer, "Daydreaming" and "Bestie." Harder, "Blooming" and "Shambles." Instrumental, "From Now On." Thank you for bringing your perspective to their music. Great reactions.
Glad you really did checked out this live. Want to know the other sides of them? May I suggest you to check out "DAYDREAMING" for the softer side that their fans love the most. And check out "Secret Maiko Lips" of BAND-MAIKO that they made it as a joke for April fools day. But their joke is no joke.
I liked your reaction a lot, so I gladly subscribed your channel. Band Maid is a Fntastic group, probably the best hard rock group (but also range from pop-rock to metal) on the square. If you allow me I would like to give you a tip while staying in Japan: take a look at another female band that sounds pure metal (power, trash, speed), the LOVEBITES. I'm sure you won't regret it and thank me (you could try "Hammer of Wrath - LIVE" to begin). Personally I love Band Maid and Lovebites in the same way. See you soon.
Hell yeah, love musicians reactions. To be honest their live version of ONSET (also in their) channel should be your next one. Is am instrumental and you can clearly appreciate the basist (MISA) seamless switch from slap and pick, is a beautiful thing to watch. And the song is KILLER. face melter too
TJ & Gringa....Great Job!!!....that was fun to watch you have many many pleasant surprises in your future ....you may want to consider checking out one of the instrumentals ('onset'...live).....or 'from now on' .....for audience interaction try 'Domination' live or 'Play' live...... 'Freedom' live for a very happy drum solo.....they have rock ballads,...and Christmas acoustic versions of some songs......and alter -ego 'Band-Maiko'.... Enjoy!
My favorite Band Maid songs are Daydreaming LIVE, Domination LIVE and Manners with Black Hole LIVE. The operative word with every single Band Maid song is LIVE. Which is also true of all great Japanese bands, my faves being Doll$Boxx, Hanabie, One Ok Rock, Gacharic Spin and Wagakki, all really great LIVE.
here are 3 more japanese metal bands you should react to next Wagakki Band Senbonzakura with Amy Lee another one is Nemophila Ama-Te-Ras official live video and the last one for now is Lovebites Scream For Me daughters of the dawn live tokyo 2019, Swan Song with chopin intro, rising live and Judgment Day knocken at heavens gate please let me know what you think
Blooming has a great guitar solo! Choose Me has 2 guitar solos! For LIVE... Play, Puzzle, Don't You Tell Me, Moratorium and Corallium. (To name a few). Thanks you two! Great reaction!
I'm jealous that you know japanese! Love your reactions and glad that both of you are discovering japanese rock and metal. Band-Maid, Nemophila, Hanabie, Asterism, and Gacharic Spin are my personal favorites. ❤❤
W'ree not Pigeons. Miku is The Pigeon. That's why she has a Signature Zemaitus guitar, the "Flappy Pigeon", and ends her sentences in Po. In Japan pigeons don't Coo, they Kruppo, which is why she's sometime called Kruppo, or Cluppo. BAND-MAID Fans are called Maidiacs. The have so many different kinds of songs, from soft acoustic ballads to anime theme songs, even an anime OMV. So die deep into the Pigeon Hole. You will be rewarded by The Best Band In The World!
10 years worth of material to check out from the best band ever, Band-Maid. Never knew anything about Japanese bands until I heard Wagakkiband's collaboration with Amy Lee of Evanescence "Sakura Rising ". If you don't know about Wagakkiband they are unique from most other bands, but you can find out what that is by checking out their live version of "Kyougasuigestu + Tsukini sakebuyovu ". It will introduce you to all 8 members of the band.
Anyone who gets the BAND-MAID chills and thrills like you two got deserves my sub. These Rock Goddesses are the top tier of the top tier, indeed it is rumoured that BAND-MAID sits so high up they have learnt to exist without oxygen 😝 Enjoy your B-M journey, not only will you discover a plethora of killer tunes you will also be endeared to a rock and roll Sisterhood that has none of the usually music industry toxic ego and diva behaviours. Cheers from all the Aussie Maidiac's Po 😁👍🍻
Great reaction guys. Thank you for reacting to the maids. I would like to recommend also to react to Lovebites the hammer of wrath live, Nemophila Oiran live, Hanabie we love sweets mv. These are all female Japanese metal bands. Greetings from Romania
Best live band on the planet. I've seen them live multiple times and they are incredibly talented musicians and extremely down to earth ladies and so much fun on stage. Must see show when they come to the states
The Maids are absolutely the best band on the planet. Band Maid and The Warning are together in Japan right now. I can't wait to see what these 8 badass ladies have going on!
Hi 👋 from the UK 🇬🇧 something you might like to check out the band is called Nightwish it's a symphonic metal band from Finland with a Dutch singer floor jansen ( the vakyrie) This band has a massive following in Europe and the Internet the go to song to start your Nightwish journey down the rabbit hole is Nightwish ghost love score wacken open air concert 2013 official music video And prepare for the Nightwish army arriving at the door 🚪 lol 😊
MISA!!! MISA!!!! MISA!!! 🥃🥃🥃 Badass Bass Assassin. The "conversation " between MISA and Kanami, like most of their "conversations" in other Band-Maid songs, is phenomenal. 🤙🏽
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, last year. Very exciting 3-hour-40-minute-long show with 33-song setlist. (Happy fatigue thereafter 😄) Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
Okay, the next song you should react to is "Don't You Tell ME", the official live video from the same concert. There is another bass/guitar "conversation/duel" in that song as well. Saiki's charisma from that song is very apparent. Their last song from the concert is "Endless Story". The official live video of the song is such a beautiful ending to an EPIC 3 1/2 hour concert featuring over 30 songs. Saiki's heartfelt words and lyrics at the end of the song reflect the love and appreciation that Band-Maid feels for their fans (and vice versa). If any rock band wants to find a proper ending to a concert, they need to look no further than this song and the amazing show and response to it.
Great reaction guys, and this band just keeps getting better and better. The rhythm guitarist (second vocalist) is the founder of the band, and she's an eight hundred and ten year old pigeon. Po. For next song, just pick any from their YT channel, you won't be disappointed.
See, I wasn't exaggerating when I commented on your first reaction to Band-Maid that they really are THE best Hard Rock band on Earth! Looks like we have another 2 'Maidiacs' as their fanbase is known ( though the band always address their fans as 'Masters & Princesses). Welcome either way! Poor Akane's work on drums often gets lost in the dazzling displays by Kanami on lead and MISA on bass but she is always there. Look forward to seeing many more reactions to our Rock goddesses from you both. PS - This was the 27th song of their 33 song set at this gig - the final song of the night is on their YT channel, ENDLESS STORY.
This was from their 10 year celebration concert in Yokohama Arena. The performance of 33 songs lasted about three and a half hours. Hate? was song #27 in their setlist. So wish I could have travelled to Japan for that. They show no sign of returning to Europe at the moment but do regularly tour the US.
Arigato! IMHO, these ladies are ICHIBAN, as are their fanbase aka Maidiacs. Check out Moratorium (2024 Zepp Tokyo). It's a perennial favorite among Maidiacs. Cheers!
Welcome back to the Maids Master Jimmy and Princess Gringa. That was quick! New Maidiacs are born, welcome to the family! Only 120+ great songs to go, so you both have your work cut out for you! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
That's a huge leap from one of their earliest MV to their latest live video. They have levelled up tremendously since then and it shows. Glad the both of you are enjoying their music and talents as much as us fans. Subbed for more reactions!
Hey there, new subscribers here. I’m sure others will have given you the background of this incredible band. I’m a 64 yr old musician whose roots are in 60’s and 70’s rock and it’s been a long time since I was this excited about a band. There are a few, very few, who have criticized the whole Maid look but I think the juxtaposition of what you see and what you hear is brilliant! I really appreciate your knowledge of Japanese culture. Domo arigato gozaimasu! 🇨🇦🇯🇵
Band Maid is: (same line up for 11 years!). Saiki (Sigh-kee) Lead vocals Miku (mee-koo) Rhythm guitar, backing vocals, she writes the lyrics, and is the band founder. Kanami (kah-nah-mee) Lead guitar (she writes and composes the music) *Misa (Mee-sah) Bass *Akane (ah-kah-neh) Drums *THE best rhythm section on planet earth.
Good evening from Japan.🤚 Thank you for the fun reaction video. 👍 I was at that concert. Please listen to the last song of that live, Endless Story. You will see a different side of them.
It's amazing how Band-Maid has rewritten the laws of nature: Hate brings Love! 😖--->🎀--->😍 COMING UP The Warning, a world-famous band from Mexico, and BAND-MAID will perform a dream two-band show! After meeting on our US tour in 2022, "The Warning" will be making their memorable first visit to Japan with BAND-MAID! Venue: EX THEATER RIPPONGI Date: Jun 12, 2024. Just pray someone smuggles in a video camera. Also -- BAND-MAID released a new song, "Bestie," co-written with Mike Einziger of INCUBUS! The MV dropped May 1. -- BAND-MAID HALL TOUR 2024 -- June 28, 2024 (Fri) Nagoya City Public Hall, Aichi, Japan -- July 5, 2024 (Fri) Osaka, Fenice Sakai Main Hall, -- July 14, 2024 (Sun) Kanagawa Kenmin Hall, Kanagawa -- July 21 OSAKA GIGANTIC MUSIC FESTIVAL 2024 -- Aug 16 RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL 2024 in EZO -- Aug 17 SUMMER SONIC 2024 (But you might already know all this.) Thx, Jimmy & Gringa!
I started listing to them in 2015, and became a Maidiac in the Summer of 2017. I vastly appreciate your characterizations of their fan base as "loyal and dedicated" -- as to what we sometimes hear. The Maidiacs are Top Drawer, as is the band that they follow.
The Pigeon is Miku who plays rhythm guitar and is backup singer. We the fans are known as Madiacs, Po 😀 People just yell MISA, MISA, MISA during their concerts a lot. Misa is the bass player and now you can see why they chant MISA as she is great. React to the song Domination or Freedom live videos for more great songs. from this band.
I’m glad you are enjoying this incredible band…fun fact that there was another Japanese all female metal band in attendance at this concert that band is LOVEBITES and here is a song from one of their live concerts the song is called The Hammer of Wrath ruclips.net/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/видео.htmlsi=f_xDKB_ROKcOBI7S and they have two of the best lead guitarists that can shred your face off
日本から。 Mr. Jimmy is really good at Japanese. Thank you so much for finding BAND-MAID. I am sure that Maidiac will introduce many songs and explain about the band and its members. Your smiles were so beautiful when you were reacting. I hope, you enjoy your BAND-MAID journey.
Thank you so much for watching! We appreciate you guys more than you know! These ladies are extremely talented. As a musician I am amazed by their melodies and technical abilities on their instruments. The vocalist is also phenomenal and a perfect way to make the music explode ! 💥
They played 33 songs at this concert in Yokahama Arena with 2 very different versions of Choose Me. To get an idea of the strength of their catalogue they then did a spinoff concert at Zepp Yokohama a few months later which included 19 different songs plus a full band version of Different which they did acoustically at The Arena. And still some of my favourite songs didn't get a look in at either concert, they could easily do another completely different 23 song set and it would still be great.
Po, pigeons, masters and princesses… would you want to dive deeper into the band maid world, you can check on the amazing documentaries of each member available in Ohrenje’s channel.
Great reaction. If you continue with BAND MAID you will be the first astronauts to fly without a rocket. When someone ask me what song I should listen to now I usually answer: leave me alone, forget my name and delete my number! (hahaha) because it's a big problem to choose a BAND MAID song. The first one that comes to mind is 'Take Me Higher' (live) or 'Turn Me On' (live) or 'Freedom' (live), ' Play ' (live) or 'Rinne' ( live ) or any 'marvellous' acoustic sogn...etc. etc. etc. and I always explain a made-up story about the day Guns 'N' Roses were sent to play at the school party and BAND MAID were sent to the big arena by Live Nation and Pony Canyon... Thanks
I still like one of their early songs "Thrill" (the OV uploaded 9 years ago, not one of the later live versions!), which led to their break-trough on YT. They are so young in the OV and all wear the original maid-outfits. If you cp. it with "Hate?", you see that they went a long way from these early days. Already there MISA did a bass solo and had a more prominent role in the band as bass players usually have. An absolut must are two songs (OV !) under the name Band-Maiko, Secret Maiko Lips and Gion Cho. The ladies wear traditional Jap. clothes and do things which maikos (geisha apprentices) had to learn (calligraphy, dancing, playing traditional instruments, etc.). No bangers, but relative calm, very colourful and interesting songs. To both songs exist making-ofs, in which one can see, how many helping hands were needed to get the ladies in the kimonos and how they trained to walk in their traditional wooden shoes (nothing for the timid or shy). 😇🤪
On the creation of this song. First, Kanami the main composer was slightly frustrated from not being able to tour due to the lockdowns. Then Saiki the Primary lead singer was frustrated with people cheating in relationships PLU s as she has stated in 2 different interviews, she likes Bart Simpson and how he would tell Homer he hated him, and wanted to put that in a song. So when certain peoples actions annoyed her, she had the perfect opportunity to put it in a song. Rumor has it it was the spouse of a friend of hers who had cheated that was the largest influence on some of the lyrics. And when Saiki heard the first demo of this song from Kanami, Saiki asked her if she was mad or upset about something, Kanami replied that she wasn't mad.
Band-Maid is THE GREATEST band. Period. Listen to Onset (live) / Freedom (live) / From Now On. First and last are instrumental for when they want to give Saiki-san a break
Japanese metal is on an incredible roll, especially the women, who are kicking ass on an epic scale. Another great band you should check out is Bridear. Founded in 2011, they were in the second wave of all-female heavy-metal bands. They have the classic twin-lead attack and technical rhythm section. Their tiny bassist even growls at key moments. They lean more metal than Band-maid, who mainly play hard rock with punk edge. They’re scheduled to release their new album “Born Again” on June 28, and it’s a banger. They have gone through some changes but have always kept their hard, heavy, technical sound. They just posted a video single from the album: “Still Burning” ruclips.net/video/v7UOTBAtJh0/видео.html
The band members all steal your attention from each other, but try listening again and paying attention to the drums. The songwriting is so dense with this band, to do their songs justice will generally take a bunch of listens, focusing in on what each member is doing. Sometimes it's too much and I'm a little cold on a song at first, but after listening more times, I generally decide that they were right. Incredible band.
I play Band maid every day since 2015.Part of my love for true Talent.
Same... I grew up in 80's and 90's Rock/Metal and my All-time favorite band is Iron Maiden. I hadn't been in a concert since the mid 90's. I was lucky enough to catch Band-Maid live in Houston 2 years ago, and they restored my faith in good music.
The drummer during the bass/guitar battle ..is just WOW.What these ladys do,they all do very well ..
Few things in life make me happier than finding new Band-Maid fans. Glad to have you guys
And we are ecstatic to have you! ❤️🍻
Watching new Maidiacs being born just never gets old 😂🤘✌️
This is Rolling Stone's review of Band Maid at Lallapalooza this year. The second Japanese band to perform there.
Japanese Rockers Band-Maid Put Guitar Center Showoffs to Shame
There’s a pun to be made about how much Band-Maid ripped, but the Japanese group goes even harder than that. -N.C.
This band is so good that you can ask die hard fans for their top ten songs and you’ll never get the same list.
Including by the same person. 😋 I know my top ten list is on a rotation lol.
I have about seventy songs in my top ten.
I gave up ranking my favorite Band Maid songs. So my favorite is the one that I’m currently listening to
I love ALL their songs, including "Start Over". 🤣 It's best too not make lists, who needs the stress. Just sit back and enjoy which ever song is playing, with 130+ songs of varying genres, outfits, languages, or instrumentation. you'll never get bored. 🤘
💯% true 🤙🏽
I concur full-heartedly.
We love their music. Us older folks remember what we liked and these ladies take it to the next level.
Miku is the "Pigeon" and the fans are "Maidiacs". And you're going down the "Pigeon Hole".
Band-Maid are predominantly a live band. They are a bucket list live act.
BAND-MAID : Small of stature but absolute giants of Hard Rock music :)
I always thought you were pretty average sized ... but now I know why Mincho calls you little sprout :p .
@@PANIC_aka_PinD Oh she told you did she.😔
I think Jimmy and Gringa liked it.
🍺😁
@@PANIC_aka_PinD Uh-oh! 🤣
There's only one pigeon and that's MIKU . But there's many MAIDIACS which welcome you to the wonderful world of BAND-MAID
I will, i will. Like when you joined YT & i said "Welcome to the Maidiac community, Jeremy, Marry me" And then you jilted me at the altar cos you said you loved BAND-MAID more, but we still get on great don't we?🤣
@@GaryHolloway-810 I think you may be thinking of Kanami and Saiki.🤔😁😁
@@jeremydawkins8814 Oh yeah, my mistake.🤦♂️ That was an emotional scene wasn't it, who could've known it would end in such tragedy.😔
The pigeon thing is best explained from this post on reddit
"Miku’s last name, Kobato (小鳩) is composed of two kanjis: one meaning small (小) and the other meaning pigeon/dove (鳩). Hence Kobato can also mean “small pigeon/dove”. She adopted the pigeon persona to match that. In Japanese language, the onomatopoeic sound that pigeons/doves make is kuruppo (くるっぽ) or simply po (ぽ). So Kobato makes that sound too."
Well, I found out my name in Japanese translates as "horse in the rice field " So Miku has it easy, I guess!
@@laughingbuddha2948 😂
(BAND-MAID at Tufnell Dome, London-po! .. .....great reaction :)

this band is a rabbit hole!! Any live song will be amazing! So much talent 😆🤘
Blasphemy…
They’re a pigeon hole 😊
You have opened the floodgates. They may be the best rock group in the world today (I think they are). They are certainly the most creative band since the Beatles, and they are top-tier musicians. I saw many of the classic rock bands - Purple, Zeppelin, Queen, Santana, many more, all in their heyday. I’ve seen Band-maid three times and their performances stand up to any of those legendary bands.
Just a crib sheet to help you remember their names:
Saiki Atsumi - Lead vocals Born Feb 8, 1994
MISA - Bass Born Oct 15, 1992
Kanami Tono - Lead guitar, Main composer and arranger Born Sept 28, 1991
Miku Kobato - Rhythm guitar, backing vocal Born Oct 21, 1991
Akane Hirose - Drums Born Dec 14, 1990
BANDMAID THE COOLEST BAND IN THE PLANET ❤❤❤❤❤
Band-Maid is a great live band. My introduction to them was the live videos of "Play" and "Choose Me," however I am going to take a contrary position here and recommend some MVs in 3 different types. Softer, "Daydreaming" and "Bestie." Harder, "Blooming" and "Shambles." Instrumental, "From Now On."
Thank you for bringing your perspective to their music. Great reactions.
Thank you ! We will most definitely be digging into these songs 🤘
And the song is KILLER. face melter too
Opps I guess the last video *Choose Me* did not feature the Barefoot Assassin *MISA* my bad, but yes *MISA, MISA, MISA* is a site to behold 🥲

Great! 2 down and only 100+ amazing songs to go. Cheers and a new sub from an old rocker in West Texas. 🇨🇱🤘🏻😎

10 years worth of material to check out from the best band ever, Band-Maid.
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, last year. Very exciting 3-hour-40-minute-long show with 33-song setlist. (Happy fatigue thereafter 😄)
Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
If you want to see some instramental Band-Maid badassery, check out From Now On. Thanks for checking out our Maids.
BAND-MAID is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Greetings from Argentina
Akane beating the drums into submission
Welcome to the Japanese (femaile) metal/rock rabbithole.
Once you fall in, there is no escape!
When I saw them in Charlotte, Hate? was 12th in a 21-song setlist. It was a great performance.
Arigato! IMHO, these ladies are ICHIBAN, as are their fanbase aka Maidiacs. Check out Moratorium (2024 Zepp Tokyo). It's a perennial favorite among Maidiacs. Cheers!

Hey there, new subscribers here. I’m sure others will have given you the background of this incredible band. I’m a 64 yr old musician whose roots are in 60’s and 70’s rock and it’s been a long time since I was this excited about a band.
Endless Story from the same concert has probably become my favorite song. Hard to find a bad song.

Thank you so much for watching! We appreciate you guys more than you know! These ladies are extremely talented. As a musician I am amazed by their melodies and technical abilities on their instruments. The vocalist is also phenomenal and a perfect way to make the music explode ! 💥
Oh..and this concert this song came from was over 3 hours
They played 33 songs at this concert in Yokahama Arena with 2 very different versions of Choose Me. To get an idea of the strength of their catalogue they then did a spinoff concert at Zepp Yokohama a few months later which included 19 different songs plus a full band version of Different which they did acoustically at The Arena. And still some of my favourite songs didn't get a look in at either concert, they could easily do another completely different 23 song set and it would still be great.
So if you want the softer side check out DAYDREAMING OFFICIAL MV ONLY PLEASE !!

Thanks
Check out the awesome all female japanese rock/metal band Nemophila next and their song Revive, guaranteed you will like them!
Banger!
Two more down the pigeon hole! Awesome job BM4! 🍺😁🤘🏻
おしり好きですよね
keep it up with your reactions 💪
もちろん。。美味しいよ。。😂。。ありがとう!

They also did "Choose Me" in this same concert taht lasted 3 1/2 hours...Thanks for the great reaction!
Twice even....
Every song will be your new favorite. Just you wait.
