I'm Japan they have a term called Visual Kei...the idea is you have a Visual concept and base your performance and songs based on that image....Band Maid is Visual Kei...
Do Versailles Faith and Decision live with English Subtitles... this massive song is mind-blowing bowing.

The Warning stated as a pre teen group on RUclips and built a huge following on line so when they put out their first songs of their own they had a massive audience waiting.

Both Band-Maid and The Warning are amazing bands. Many fans of both, while loving this collaboration, feel that this song is not truly representative of either band's signature sound. I highly encourage you to explore songs from both bands. You won't be disappointed!

Love both bands. The collab didn't work imo. I'd rather see The Warning collab with a band that brings something they don't have. Like Atarashii Gakko or Babymetal for dancing. Or Creepy Nuts for rap. Just as an example. Or have Kikuo write them a song. I think maybe Band-Maid shouldn't collab. They kinda have their own thing.

As much of a maniac that I am, I also love the warning, I am not a fan of them together. Just because they are two wonderful bands, i don't think two amazing bands
, I don't think that it means twice amazingness together. Iam not a fan of Band Maid being The warnings backup Band. I would have rather had a first time reaction to From Now On or one of BandMaids instrumental pieces, especially for a classical composer.

I am a jazz and classical woodwind player, and I have fallen in love with both of these bands. I think this collab is great, even if it is not exactly what either band does best. I am pretty convinced that the future of rock is female. If these two bands are where music is going, then I am all in.
    • The lyrics are a really strong empowering message IMHO
    • I like that they did not try to do too much, which on one hand makes the music a bit less complex than either band’s other offerings, but it makes it that 8 players can play it and make it clean. It would be really easy to make a big'ol hot mess of this if they all tried to do too much.
    • The trade-offs really point out to me that each of the instrumentalists are so individually skilled and approach their parts in slightly different ways. No winners or losers. No battle. Just a lovely 4 or 8 beat display of the variety of approaches and talents for a solo section.
    • It is nice and compact at 3:21. I have seen plenty of collabs over the years which turn into rambling oeuvres that don't go anywhere musically. This one just feels nice and tidy to me.
Since this is your first time with The Warning let me extend The Warning Army's welcome to what we believe is the future of rock & roll - The Warning - Three sisters from Monterey Mexico who started playing together when they were children and who have now been making great hard music for more than a decade. With four studio albums, several live concert videos, we think there is plenty of material for you to choose from. They were independent for the first two albums (Kickstarter and crowd-funded), but are now signed to Lava/Republic records.
    This three-piece is:
    Daniela (Dany, 24yo, guitar)
Paulina (Pau, as in POW-er, 22yo, drums)
Alejandra (Ale, pronounced AH-lay, 19yo, bass)
All three sisters sing, and all are classically trained on piano.
The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of classic rock, metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. At the same time simple and complex.
What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their combined ages are about the same as many of us fans, their musical maturity is exceptionally high.
Need another suggestion? From The Warning’s RUclips page you might choose from:
    - Disciple, Hell You Call a Dream, Z, Dust to Dust/Dull Knives, or Choke or anything else from their 2023 Pepsi Center Live performance
    - MORE or EVOLVE from the MTV VMAs
    - S!CK or Automatic Sun live studio performances from either MTV Push or Jimmy Kimmel
    - The official music video for their new releases Six Feet Deep, S!CK or Que Mas Quieras (in Spanish)
    - The official music video for XXI CENTURY BLOOD
    - SURVIVE from their 2017 TedX talk
There are really no bad choices. They are something special live-I think it is their super power. Their energy, charisma, and musicality really shine when in front of an audience. In the past two years I have flown >20k miles all over North America, Mexico, UK, and Ireland. Can’t wait for the chance to travel and see them again. The only other band I have traveled for like this in more than 45 years of concert going was Rush.

"Thrill" isn't really their biggest hit, it's just their first MV so has more views as it's the oldest. It did go viral though and saved the band from being dumped by their first label. The best hard rock band I have heard in my 58 years on this planet. While they don't class themselves as a metal band, they don't stick to any one genre and often mix genres in songs. They are extremely diverse and have an extensive back catalogue featuring Punk, Pop-Punk, Hard-Rock, Classic Rock, Metal, Prog, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Rap etc. From face melting 220 bpm punk-prog mayhem to ballads, instrumentals to acoustics they do it all. They can make you headbang, they can make you pogo, they can make you cry like a baby. They are also five of the nicest people in music, without a shred of ego. They are funny and fun and world class musicians to boot. They are currently into their 12th year with the original line up. And they are the best live band I have ever witnessed!

In some regards, I'd say you've yet to hear a Band-Maid song. Thrill was written before the ladies realized that they could write their own material. (Miku does most of the vocals, now, though Saiki sometimes writes them, too. Kanami does the music and arrangements, with input from the other instrumentalists.) Miku and Kanami wrote this one in collaboration with The Warning, whom they had met stateside, at a U.S. festival. They got together when The Warning was touring Japan, ate lots of food, and created this song. Kanami intentionally wrote it a bit high for both vocalists. She's like a teacher who's always looking to push her students to new heights. They debuted it at a concert they performed together. In fact, most of us heard the live version before hearing the album version. The Warning are pretty much native English speakers, as well as speaking Spanish and French, so they helped Saiki with her pronunciations. (Miku and Kanami are dedicated English students, but they can still be tough to understand, sometimes.) Both bands are fabulous, and I'm shocked you've never reacted to either, before. The Warning is straight, in your face, rock, whereas Band-Maid is a bit more technical and nuanced. Both have a keen focus on melody.

"Trill" was their first video ever and not written by them. The first one they wrote themselves is a masterpiece called "Alone". After that, their label had objection to let them compose and arrange everything. "Show Them" is an extremely simple song for both bands, but that was the point. They had not much time before recording it and play it live. Now you MUST try their latest video "Forbidden Tail", where they give other band a lesson in how to write a song. Kanami, who write almost all their songs, only listened to classic music when she grew up. You can hear that in their instrumental "From Now On".

Should you wish to react to some of The Warning's original music, I highly recommend checking out the videos from their 2023 10th anniversary concert in Mexico City. Just start with the opening song, "Disciple."
BAND-MAID and The Warning first met at the Aftershock Festival in 2022, and that initial connection really sparked the idea for collaboration. When The Warning traveled to Japan in June, they dove into working on their song "Show Them." KANAMI from BAND-MAID had created a demo, and they engaged in a creative back-and-forth, sharing ideas and refining the song together. They focused on themes of female empowerment and collaboration, making sure to incorporate elements that resonated with both bands.
Working face-to-face helped them navigate cultural differences and fine-tune the lyrics until they felt the song captured their collective vision. The energy was palpable, especially when they performed "Show Them" live in Tokyo. Fans were thrilled to see both bands on stage, celebrating this powerful collaboration.
There’s also an excellent vlog on The Warning's channel that shows their meeting in Japan and the behind-the-scenes work on the song. It really captures the excitement and camaraderie between the bands during the process.

The three sisters that make up The Warning were all classically trained when they were still tiny little kids. They went viral when they were 9, 12 and 14 years old, when they did a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman for their grandparents. Seen by over 22 million which included Metallica themselves. As grown ups and veterans of live performances, Metallica invited The Warning to rework Enter Sandman with Canadian singer Alessia Cara for the Blacklist album. At the concert at the Pepsi Center The Warning have looked back at their classical training and have reworked Enter Sandman further. They performed Enter Sandman accompanied by the string section of an orchestra.

There's so much that can be said about The Warning and their massive impact on the international music scene. But since you are learning more about the Maids, here's my intro blurb for those who may be new to Band-Maid: Welcome, Doug. You are embarking on (along with many others - over 210 million views just on their official YT channel, plus over 40 million reactor plays!) an awesome, progressive, hard-rock journey with 5 incredible women.

BAND-MAID’s songs and sound beat with the heart and soul of all rockers. But you’ll also hear heavy influences of Prog, Punk, Metal and Pop, with nice touches of Blues, Jazz, Funk and Grunge. Sometimes they use multiple genres within the same song. Their Composition, Execution, Joy of Playing, Consistency (144 songs), Uniqueness, Charisma, Charm and, oh yeah, Cuteness factor, position them as becoming the hard rock Beatles of our time! In other words, they’re destined for mega-stardom.
Each member's personalities are super interesting and their musicianship among the best. Their writing, arrangements and overall sound, especially guitar tones and drums, are kick-ass! Having seen them LIVE, I can honestly say their performance, sound, stage appearance, and band synergy is off-the-rails spectacular!
Band-Maid is the only band in decades where I love nearly EVERY song they’ve done. I have over 80 favorites! "Thrill" (2014) is a great place to start: ruclips.net/video/Uds7g3M-4lQ/видео.html Their songs from albums Unleash, Unseen World, Conqueror, World Domination, Just Bring It, Brand New Maid, and New Beginning drive even more - Hate?, Shambles, Influencer, Warning, No God, Different, Black Hole, Rinne, Blooming, Moratorium, Domination, Clang, Dice, Spirit, Don’t You Tell Me, Turn Me On, Fate, Play, You, Hide-And-Seek, Secret My Lips, Puzzle, Choose Me, I Can’t Live Without You, and on and on.
But don’t miss out on their powerful, beautifully written, mid-tempo songs like Daydreaming, The One, Bestie, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, At The Drop Of A Hat, Mirage and Smile... or more punky like After Life, Don’t Let Me Down and Screaming… or funky like Bubble… or bluesy like Manners and The Dragon Cries… or poppy like Start Over… or a bit jazzy like Wonderland… or progressive like No God, Giovanni, and Black Hole… or cultural like the Band-Maiko series… or instrumentals like From Now On, Don’t Be Long, Onset, Without Holding Back and Going Nuts… or their many acoustic versions like Catharsis and Sayonakidori... and last but not least, their Anime hits (AniMaid) like Protect You, Sense, Different, Glory and Unleash!!!!! Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

    Band-Maid Members:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. High-heels or sneakers, Sai-chan’s smile melts away her sometimes perceived, coldish persona. Saiki’s powerhouse performances, charisma, and voice focus the experience that’s driven her to the top echelon of hard rock frontwomen... or frontmen!
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 33 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 33 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 32 years old. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami, off-stage MISA is the band’s goofball ballerina. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note... uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA! MISA!
Maidiacs (Maid-e-acts) - Band-Maid’s crazed yet supportive, knowledgeable and loyal Super Fans.

  • @greylocke100
    @greylocke100 2 дня назад +17

Doug, I suggest when you dive deeper into Band-Maid's discography, you choose 2 songs, one old, one new and listen and compare them. Their first 3 releases with 1 exception were not written by them. It took that one exception, "Alone" performing well, for them to take over the writing, arranging and producing of their music. In fact, they recently have also taken over their own management, become as independent as possible other than the record label. They have done this so that they can control their music, their image, and be more in control of their PR, versus a management company trying to "Steer" the Ladies where they did NOT want to go. They have on occasion used outside writers, but the vast majority of their songs from their album "Just Bring It"" on have been written almost exclusively by them.
Kanami Tono, the lead guitarist is the Primary composer, and Miku Kobato is the Primary Lyricist, although Saiki Atsumi has written lyrics for several songs now. Kanami will write and create a Demo, she will then send to MISA and Akane for them to work in their parts, which they send back to Kanami to mix together. Miku and Saiki will then work on lyrics, and the ones that fit the best will be chosen.
And if you would like to hear an example of a Band-Maid song where the unfinished Demo was used for the final product, their song "The Dragon Cries", is such a song. Tony Visconti approached the Ladies of Band-Maid, wanting to work on a song with them. Kanami sent over a rough demo she had been working on, and Tony used it as it was. Kanami asked if she could finish it, but Tony reportedly said, it was finished, and then using lyrics by Tom Kenney, Saiki and Miku traveled to New York and spent several days in the studio recording their vocals. Tony said afterward that both Saiki and Miku sang for 8+ hours a day and never had any issues.
Saying all that though. Many of us Band-Maid fans, or "Maidiacs" as we refer to ourselves as, feel that the song on the album is too overly compressed, and many of us prefer the live version from their Line Cube Shibuya performance in February 2020. It just sounds so much better.

Oh on Alone being their break out song written by Kamami - from the internet (well RUclips, here) I'd heard it was this 1st one played, Thrill 👀

    • @normanweaver7935
      @normanweaver7935 2 дня назад

@@DougguoD Thrill was their 'breakout' song in that the band wasn't getting much traction at home. It's a B-side, written by a hired gun, and was chosen to be their first MV by the band over the single that the label wanted (a very different song, stylistically). The video was shared on a facebook page and got the kind of response any fledgling band would dream of. This actually saved the band from being dropped by the label.
Alone was the first song, among many that Kanami wrote and submitted for approval, that actually got the green light from the label. As Greylocke writes above, they've had control of their own direction since then

The little bass figure in the end is a little bow on behalf of Misa to her fellow bass player Ale. Alejandra wrote this bass line for an early Warning song when she was around 13 years old (yes, The Warning started early, they went viral with a Metallica cover when they were 14, 12 and 9, and the year after, they were writing their own music, and their second album was already a concept album. Just so you know you need to do more of The Warning, too). “Show them” was a 50-50 collab, but Kanami, who writes Band-Maids songs, had first serve.

The Warning ….Dany 24, Paulina 21 and Ale 19 are a phenomenal band and incredible live show .They have been playing together for 10 years and went viral playing a cover of Enter Sandman when Ale was 8. ! ( Even Metallica noticed and commented) They even invited them to do a full remake of the song for their 30th anniversary Blacklist album which is a video ( or live version) you must see. I’m 68 years old and I have seen them all. They broke me out of my classic rock bubble and I can honestly say ( and I don’t make this comment lightly) they are one of my 3 top bands…ever ! 4 albums and not a bad song on them. That just doesn’t happen. I understand you can’t react to everything but if nothing else look into thier history and thier journey on your own . It is fascinating. Enjoy the ride.

Kanami (Band Maid guitarist) is a genious composer, but you haven't seen anything yet because Thrill is an early song from the band, which is the era where someone else wrote it. As for Show them, even though the band wrote it themselves, it was a composition that balanced the music between the two bands. I'm glad that you will continue to follow Band Maid. I recommend that the next song should be Forbidden Tale, where you will clearly see the band's songwriting skills.

Another thing with Band-Maid is the variety of styles they blend into their base hardrock/metal music. Because of that their music is always fresh and interesting to listen to. Kanami Tono, the guitar player, is a genius composter in IMHO, she plays the piano as well which may be the reason she compose music the way she does.

I'm so happy you got around to Band-Maid (and the Warning)! Personally, I don't put either of these two songs in my top 75 B-M songs. Both songs are kind of on the simple side for the group. Both bands really excel in songwriting, though I don't think of either as "metal". Do more reactions to both, please. You won't be disappointed!
It may interest you to know that Kanami Tono, Band-Maid's primary composer (as opposed to lyrics writer) studied classical piano and listened mostly to classical music before she took up electric guitar in high school. Early on, Band-Maids songs were written by outside songwriters, but once Kanami developed her writing chops to the satisfaction of their management company, she was off to the races and has become my favorite rock song composer of the last 40 years.

First off, I’ve been following your channel nearly from the start, and I absolutely love what you do. I’ve been looking forward to this moment for so long. I’m 53, and I’ve been a rock music fan since I was 8. My first album? The Wall by Pink Floyd-an amazing introduction to a lifelong journey with music. Pink Floyd has always been a favorite, but in 1987, I discovered RUSH, and they became my band, the one that shaped my coming of age. When RUSH retired, it left a real emptiness.
Then, something unexpected happened: I fell in love, as never before, with BAND-MAID. Their music is now a daily part of my life; it just makes everything better. Interestingly, I’ve found that most BAND-MAID fans are also RUSH fans. What could three Canadians and five women from Japan possibly have in common? Both bands have built their success with integrity, just as RUSH did.
RUSH’s connection with fans was always profound. They constantly pushed themselves as musicians and consistently delivered electrifying performances. BAND-MAID embodies that same spirit. Both bands respect their fans deeply, yet they remain committed to making music for themselves, not simply catering to expectations. True artistry, after all, comes from personal expression-not from trying to please an audience. And in both bands, you see a refreshing lack of ego or showboating; they’re friends who genuinely enjoy making music together.
Yes, BAND-MAID filled that hole in my heart.
As for song recommendations, it’s hard to choose. BAND-MAID isn’t exactly metal, nor pure hard rock. Especially in their recent material, they blend so many styles, creating a genre that’s uniquely theirs. It’s fresh but still honors rock’s roots. And live, they’re something else-just like RUSH. How many good songs do they have? In their last two tours, they played a total of 70 different songs. When’s the last time you saw another band do that?
At one of their recent shows, they performed their entire new album live-14 songs in one go. Incredible.
Here are my top recommendations to get you hooked:
    "Puzzle" (live)
    "Forbidden Tale" (MV)
    "Hate?" (live)
    "From Now On" (MV)
    "Daydreaming" (MV)
    "Manners/Black Hole" (live)
Much love and respect from Roma, Italia.
Ps The Warning are one of my favourites at the moment as well. They are well worthy of an extended check.

Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed the live debut of "Show Them" 😍 that was played together (once and only to date) as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed like a duel to see which drummer can kick harder enough to break their bass drum in the joint performance. 🤣
Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

Oh mate… you’re a classical composer? Have to listen to Band-Maid Instrumentals and Progressive songs is my suggestion. From Now On has a music video and Giovanni has an album version (w/ vocals) and an Instrumental version.

You've gotta check out some of The Warning's solo songs, but massive respect to whoever mixed Show Them, that can't have been easy

Great reaction! Thanks for checking out our ladies! You really should pay attention to both bands. They are definitely worth it. These 2 songs are not really representative of Band-Maid. Their music is usually more complex, energetic and progressive. I hope you will continue to explore these bands. Peace! 🤘

You MUST react to as many The Warning videos as you can. I promise you won't be disappointed - I found this band 9 months ago and have listened to nothing else since. I am a huge Rush and Ronnie James Dio fan, and in this short time these young ladies now accompany them as part of my top three artists of all time. They are amazing!!!

"I like that they're featuring the Bass". What you do with 2 brilliant Bassists; Misa and Ale (only 19). You prominently display "Return to Forever, Romantic Warrior" on the wall, 1 of 2 of the greatest Jazz-Fusion groups ever featuring legendary Bassist Stanley Clarke; the 2nd, Weather Report, featured Jaco Pastorius, considered the greatest Bassist of all time. Ale, The Warning's Bassist, has been listening to/ playing Jazz like Jaco since she was a child. The closing Bass riff played by Misa was composed by Ale at 11. Ale's a world-class Jazz Bassist playing Rock. There's a video of Ale playing Jaco's legendary, incredibly difficult, "Donna Lee" at 12. Ale wasn't trying to play it; she just played it. Ale started playing Jaco's entire catalog at 9 (mind-bending).

Welcome to the fandoms! Both bands are big fans of each other. BTW - there's a behind the scenes video of this collab on The Warning's channel
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song. Me & GF flew 6,000 miles from oHio to Japan!
We spent 10 days in Japan. We stayed 5 days in Kyoto & Tokyo each with day trips to Osaka & Himeji. Was an amazing concert & trip!
Was an experience we both will cherish forever! Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
I suggest these Band Maid songs: Dice, Manners, Bubble, Blooming, No God (live) & Puzzle (live)
I suggest these The Warning songs: Money, Sick, Automatic Sun, Enter Sandman (with Alessia Cara), Evolve (live VMAs) & Dust To Dust (live Teatro)

Both BAND-MAID and The Warning are very skilled musicians and composers.
The Warning is a power trio making catchy rock music. They have a great stage presence. They are also young, around 20, and sisters. They started VERY young, 10 years ago and are seasoned on the stage. Both the guitarist and the drummer are lead singers. They are best live, their audience interaction is strong. Two concerts with lots of good music is Teatro Metropolitan and Pepsi Center. But, they also make good MV if that is what you prefer. When the eclipse went over USA they made a song called Automatic Sun, and there is an iconic video from "Tecate Pa’l Norte Festival". It has studio audio, but the video is intense.
BAND-MAID are five goofy women that make fantastic rock. Its quite varied. Some is just pure rock. Some is instrumental show pieces. And some is kind of proggy. They do not generally follow standard patterns. I think I would recommend the following videos
    * Official live for the two song "Manners" and "Black Hole". This version of manners is among the grooviest I ever have heard. And Black Hole is a fast, complicated and proggy composition.
    * Official MV for "From now on". Fine instrumental music showing some skills.
    * Official live for "Hate?"
They have much more and almost all is good. Generally its better with live. But some MV are gold also. For Thrill that you now have listened to, its only the MV that is good. For their instrumentals it is generally better to look at the MV as they have superior audio and also you can see how they play better.

Doug, you need to check out their official live videos, they are amazing live, and I've never seen a band that enjoys playing together as much as these. They are a breath of fresh air for us oldies that were brought up in the 60's and 70's. So many heavy rock bands these days look as if they are about to invade another country, Band Maid, can play like the big boys but they are such a joy!

Along with the great Band-Maid, you've gotten a peek at The Warning. As you do more reactions of Band-Maid, I strongly request that you also check out more of The Warning. Notably, their version of "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. Performed Live at the Pepsi Center. Seeing that you are a Classical Composer I would love to see your reaction to the live string section they added.

So, if you ever asked yourself - metal is so alive with many influences, many great things invented and discovered by metal musicians, why don't more rock bands use more of it, where is the progress in rock - here's two bands that DO. Band-Maid, in my opinion, are the leaders of this convergence movement in hard rock. The Warning are still quite young, but they are developing fast. This is the first generation of musicians with truly encyclopedic knowledge of genres thanks to the internet. And they use it. Thrill is a very early and simple song. Band-Maid are now so deep in it that they have 200bpm double-kick songs with overlapping solos and vocals, that are still somehow coherent J-rock songs. This is the progress in rock, this is the laboratory.
