Must have been about 15 years ago - My brother went to get HIM's autographs at an album signing years ago but he was far back in the queue and they left before he had a chance to meet them. Pissed off he went to a bar and had some drinks. Ville Valo came in and sat next to him, they ended up chatting for a while and he ended up signing his album with quite a long note. Turns out they were doing a secret show that night and invited my brother to come along. He's such a nice dude.

I remember when I was a kid and Bam Margera got first introduced to the Finnish media. Unlike in the states everyone connects HIM with Bam, in Finland everyone connects Bam with HIM.
+Nikki Angelus That's true, I also connect Bam with HIM (I had never heard of Bam before), and I am from Germany. Got into HIM at the end of 1999 when Join Me was aired on German radio :)
Bam introduced me to HIM. Music wasn't as easily available as it is today. As a high school kid, I was pretty busy with learning other types of rock and playing guitar. So it was all fairly new to me.
I went to HIM's very last show, and on the last song of the night (Funeral Of Hearts) I crowd surfed all the way to the front row and almost fell on my head, but next thing I know Ville Valo grabs me by the hand to make sure I don't fall. I never met him, but I will never forget that. He was my biggest hero growing up.
I also got into HIM because of Viva La Bam...I remember being about 14 and my friend showed me this skate movie called Grind (bam was in it for people who don't know) and even though Bam had a pretty small part in that movie I was just drawn to him and I later found out that he had his own show and I swear I've seen every single episode of Viva La Bam because I was so addicted to watching it. Of course I was then introduced to HIM and The 69 Eyes and to this day HIM is still one of my favorite bands. I remember hearing one of their songs on an episode and I liked it so much that I immediately got on my computer and used my Dial-Up internet to look up all their albums and just one by one listened to all of them.
I wonder where are all those Grind people now. Saw only a couple of them in the movies, but not Sweet Lou, and he was hilarious! Also I watched it with a very lousy Russian translation that sometimes made no sense, I'm pretty sure there are jokes I never got because of that dubbing, but still so nostalgic).
they're like "WHAT? REALLY?" Bam doesn't deserve any credit about the band... maybe in the states was thank to Bam that they won fame and fans, but in the rest of the world BAM has no credit for Him's popularity, fame and the legion of fans they have.

I remember Bam playing the intro to Sigillium Diaboli in one Viva la Bam episode. I could hear like the first sentence or so and I just checked the lyrics to all their songs to find it because I found the song so great. I've been a fan ever since.
+feliciiaab - That was in a scene where Bam was waking his brother up with a guitar and actually it was the solo from that song and not the into. But it was quite butchered too. No matter what you want to call him, Bam did a mammoth contribution towards ][-][ ][ ][v][ getting notoriety early 2,000's. Ville states Kat Von D did heaps, (on a personal level with Ville,) yes she did. but there is so much footage of Bam & Ville together. Ppl seem to have this tendency to let go of so much good between each other & try to discount a very important part of their live's from 1 fallout. That's sad. I've done it many times also.
I would bet that 95% of him fans in the US and probable a good chunk even in Europe come from Bam. Kat didn't come around till much later and actually was a Him fan cause of bam like most. Valo gives bam too little credit. Obviously at the end of the day Valo is the one who makes the beautiful music but I'm thankful for bam cause without him I might never of heard of them.
Yes I absolutely fucking agree, and the band ( HIM) acts like bam didnt do shit, he played their songs constantly on viva la bam it's crazy they don't recognize that
"Parts of territory that was...unknown to me in the past" Yeah Bam and and Ville definitely had some type of relationship. It's apparent by the way Bam would idolize and copy him, until the point of unhinged sometimes, and now Ville makes it known. They were very close, too close to just be friends.
1st off rip dunn. 2nd HIM was around before bam, but bam definitely doubled there fan base. in my opinion he didn't get enough credit in this interview from these guys, kat von d didnt seem like she did a whole lot for these guys and she isnt shit to what bam was a while back. im not even a big fan of bam but credit is credit man. still a great band though, just dont forget who helped you come up.
Obviously you don't know much about him. This is how his close friends would describe Dunn, he was the balanced type, nice, kind, but obviously devious. He just balanced out Bam, who is ultimately just an asshole who made it big. The two of them were like the others opposite. Bam and Ryan were inseparable, and they spent a lot of time together either in Finland or around Ville, so I'm gathering, he knows Ryan well enough to say this.
+grant Diggs watch viva la bam, dunn spent alot of time with Ville and the Band. And to be honest through out that entire show Dunn was the voice of reason through the chaos, he was Bam's rock, and now that he's gone Bam's lost....
BAM was how HIM got the heartagram. He didnt make it or own it.there us info no one really knows yet like whom exactly created and drew the heartafram and were took place .ya I know this info and saddly person who made heartagram has been totally near forgotten.however this person has been so patient and persistant and really it could of turned ugly.....and everyone except him or BAM has no idea what Im talking about..prob stay that way until One has enuff I would guess

I wouldn’t know who HIM were if it wasn’t for bam
you would. But a bit later.
Yes I absolutely fucking agree, and the band ( HIM) acts like bam didnt do shit, he played their songs constantly on viva la bam it's crazy they don't recognize that
Such an american centric view. In Europe Him were huge and this Bam fella was just some reality tv idiot.
hodor! hodor?
Wow Ville is really losing his Finnish accent and becoming an American :-(
Whats HIM
They def were lovers
Look at Bam's idol and look at Bam now - too bad
is the interviewer neil hamburgers son?
Vee-ah-gra
4:05 Little awkward swallow there, no big.
Damn his accent is thick!
Roofied in Minneapolis huh? Lol damn shout out to the town not far from me
ville's english sounds a lot like british accent...he doesn't sound like he's from finland
I’m gonna get that tat villie
"Parts of territory that was...unknown to me in the past"
Yeah Bam and and Ville definitely had some type of relationship. It's apparent by the way Bam would idolize and copy him, until the point of unhinged sometimes, and now Ville makes it known.
They were very close, too close to just be friends.
Damn when did the bassist become the drummer🤣🤣🤣
This interviewer exemplifies why journalism is dead.
1st off rip dunn. 2nd HIM was around before bam, but bam definitely doubled there fan base. in my opinion he didn't get enough credit in this interview from these guys, kat von d didnt seem like she did a whole lot for these guys and she isnt shit to what bam was a while back. im not even a big fan of bam but credit is credit man.
still a great band though, just dont forget who helped you come up.
fuck yeah shout out to Minneapolis for spiking Ville's Drink!!
I don't think he knows much about Dunn.
I feel punching this guy for saying bam is an 8
BAM was how HIM got the heartagram.
Heartagram was around before bam 🤦♂️
Ville drew and made up the symbol at age 20
C D Christ u must be young
