much better to see him now tbh. i saw HIM in 2005 and ville was so drunk he could barely stand, let alone sing. one of the worst shows i've ever been to. then i saw VV last year, and he 100% made up for it. definitely worth the wait
Love Ville for being real and very humble about his own struggles. And good on him for not doing what so many others have when it comes to Bam (positive or negative). My heart goes out to them both, and to all those who have gone through or are currently going through the struggles of addiction. Nobody's perfect and we all deal with it in our own way. Peace and love to all 💝
My band in the mid 90's opened a couple shows for Type O. Peter was the consummate gentleman treated us as peers, Josh as well. Very inspirational to see his Beatles\Sabbath construct applied to his vision. Yes, the man was larger than life in many ways. RIP Peter. Great interview btw. Subbed!
From now on, all shows should be registed. So that these recordings give all the opportunity to enjoy them in a timeless way, be they old, current or future fans

YOO, this dude come out spitting FACTS. Dudes in the UK and elsewhere who were skinny back in the day were on those amphetamines. Those are facts I seen this with my own eyes.
i really like this interviewer. i think i prefer it when Ville is talking to someone who's closer to him in age, because i find that with younger interviewers it's always a bit awkward
Oh wow, what a compliment! Thanks mate. You've really brightened my day. If you like my interviewing style, you're in luck, because I've done almost every interview on this channel, and we've got heaps more coming, so make sure you subscribe. Thanks again! - Tom
When i think of goth bands, type o negative is one of the first that come to mind. Peter steel was a hell of a songwriter. If you havent heard them, check that shit out. A d him of course. The cure too.
1:37 isn’t the cyber goth trend more closely niched towards rave, industrial techno, psy trance EDM culture than rock/metal? Just asking.. because I live in the states myself, and I don’t see too many if not any cyber goths at a Marilyn Manson, Slipknot or Behemoth show. I see them a lot at a rave shows. 😂
What is he talking about NIN breaking a screen in between the crowd and the band? Does he mean like a monitor? Or was there like actually a screen he broke that was inbetween them like breaking the 4th wall? Now that would be sweet.
Really hate seeing speculations about Ville and Bam, and whatever anything. Some are dying mess into other people's business and make a damn show of it.
Lovely interview! Btw I graduated in 1998 and I'm also a huge NIN fan I got my NIN neck tattoo right before seeing NIN for the first time on the tour for The Fragile. Would've loved to seen VV live again. Got to see HIM a couple times.
vils the only one that still has bams back because him (HIM) and bam share a twisted bond forged in friendship, also, ville wasnt in jackass lol. sucks that bam is seen like a fuck up, but i dont think anyone could get out alive from what hes lived through and live with.
Lol bro what? Huge bam fan here but his life wasn’t some tragedy, he was a kid who grew up with parents that wouldn’t tell him no, we literally have all the home footage of him doing whatever he wanted in the presence of his parents dating back to when he was like 14. I would honestly say that is the root of his issues, having nothing but yes men around him his entire life then when things got too deep they all bounced on him.
Ville's one of them dudes I could listen to speak on most anything, any time. Great dude. Keen for the Sydney show next month🔥

YES. a duett with Kate Bush! may I suggest something more doable? a duett with Florance Welsh. or A.A. Williams. that would get super doomy.
