  • Charges against a man have been dropped after he was originally accused of seriously injuring a Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office investigator who was directing traffic at the Ironman North American Championship in The Woodlands. Dashcam video from another driver’s car later showed Investigator Toby McLaughlin, a 40-year veteran with the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office kicking the man’s vehicle as he passed by.

So they did try to press charges on the driver? He knew what he had done. He was willing to falsely imprison an innocent citizen because of his own stupidity. So glad this footage was released, not only to save the innocent but to show the corruption that is happening all across the country.

Now prosecute the cop for lying....or show the public that filing a false police report isn't actually a crime.
Now that he's been caught lying, this calls into question *every statement this officer has ever made.* How many *other* times has he lied throughout his 40-year career???

This is not how it should have been done according to the rules of the Dept. He paid the price for his lack of following the rules. No telling what will happen to the driver. Just a lot of terrible decisions all around.

Ironman is a pain in the butt. Roads closed off trap residents in their homes. We had sports tournaments or other events scheduled on the same day and had to spend the night before somewhere else to get to them. The Woodlands touts how it is so good for the community and it brings in so much money can start reducing our $120 per month HOA dues out off the fees that Ironman should pay the township. This goes for every other marathon or whatever that closes our streets. No doubt a frustrated driver just trying to get through an intersection on a damn race day.

On a military post they will chase you down and give you a ticket at the least if you drive on a street with a marathon going on. I saw it a few times and a few soldiers were hit. That is one reason that we wore reflector belts. 50,000 Soldiers on that particular military post. That is the way it is on a military post. On the other hand a ticket or a felony can ruin your life for many years and it is abuse of power I think? With the video it was proven that he lied. CONSTABLES,

Wait, he uses his leg (no kicking motion, just a straight leg) to try to show the driver that lane is not accessible to him. The driver still plowed forward and that clearly broke his knee joint.
Why were the charges dropped? Are you sure it wasn't someone the DA knew? And didn't the driver keep driving - a clear as day hit-and-run. This video looks like evidence for the civil trial at least - good luck running interference there.

In this scenario, no reasonable citizen would stop and render aid to someone that kicked their car and was violent. The right thing to do is keep driving to a safe location and report it.

Instead of every one blaming the cop let look at the real picture and that is the driver dis obeyed the officer no matter if you like it or not he is out there putting his life in danger for the community yes he gets paid but he still the boss when they have roads shut down or directing traffic . And so the driver should be ticketed for dis obeying a officer and then driving off not rendering aid . So instead of bashing the cop let look at the idiot that went around the officer command. Cause if your trouble who you going to call ? EXACTLY
