I met him on a movie set (the Billy Bathgate movie that didn't quite make it) when I was an extra and stand-in for Mike Starr. Really nice guy from what I remember. That was back in 90' or 91'. Sort of funny, and I will be name dropping, but I also met Tom Cruise (briefly) since he sort of snuck onto into town and onto the set. He was dating Nicole Kidman at the time. I also was able to meet Abe Vigoda, Steven Hill, Stanley Tucci and Dustin Hoffman. It was pretty neat to know that these are regular people, with all the regular people quirks and attitudes, that are just doing a job that they enjoy. I met the cinematographer and had spoken with him at length, not knowing how well regarded he was in the motion picture industry. I didn't find out until he had passed away. I just had to look him up because I couldn't remember his name. He was Néstor Almendros. He passed in 92'.

@@Kromsmitesyou Exactly. I can't count the number of dolts I've worked with in the past, who thought HR would back them up when they got into a battle with their manager or the higher ups of the company. I think too many people watched the sitcom "The Office" where they portray the HR guy in it as some kind of impartial judge to back up the workers, when in reality, those guys are just looking for excuses to shit can "trouble makers". The ONLY time HR would back up the worker, is to protect the companies ass, and if they think that worker has some kind of proof of abuse, that could cost the company $$$ in the courtroom.

Oh, my sweet innocent lamb...huge % of actors have always been out there - they or the studios hid it. Most hide it now because if you're a questionable person, they might lose money on you in a production. No one will hire you. This has happened to a lot of actors with problems, careers just die - unless you're Mel Gibson and you can afford to make your own movies.

The best SNL sketches, whether in 1975 or 2024, are ones where you take a very simple observational concept and just play it to absurdity. But they got this idea from a Monty Python sketch, the management trainee program. That actually was a John.
