Hear that sound? KY and Valhalla going to bottom of list for any tier 1 PGA tour event. Also the sound of professional golfers losing interest in coming to the Bluegrass state. Well done, Louisville, PD. You guys rock. Hyper-escalate and arrest the nicest guy on tour for what could've been solved with 30 seconds of conversation.

The fact of the matter is if a cop tells you to stop at a road block. You need to stop. Being a cop for 25 years it is amazing how many people really think road blocks don’t apply to them. Routinely people try to go around road blocks which endangers the officers. I have seen this scenario a dozen times people pulling off while an officer is engaging the drive causing him/her to fall or get injured.

As an Australian, thousands and thousands of miles away from all the action its so bizarre. In a highly chaotic environment, with a crime scene set up in early morning fog and rain and dim light the chances of miscommunication seem quite high. What happened after seems extraordinarily intense. An arrest, charges laid, his clothes and property confiscated, processing, finger prints, mug shot, detainment in jail. Nil questioning. All in the space of a few hours. Kinda wild if you ask me. I don't know how the law works in America but the whole thing seems wildly over the top.
If I was Scheffler I'd be rattled beyond belief. Scared senseless if I'm honest. Jails aren't nice places at all. The intimidation alone would have been overwhelming. Extraordinarly what he achieved on the golf course just a few hours later. I feel for him :-(

it's raining, the first lot of cops said go, then this drongo cop intervened after scottie had window rolled up and didn't hear the rogue cop yell stop, so cop jumped onto car, scottie was like, wtf, and slowed to a stop just 10 yards further, then demanded scottie get out, which scottie did, then cop shoved him into the car and cuffed him.
If scottie got direction to go with Windows open, then after putting Window up to stop rain, then another cop yelled stop? Wtf, Cops scream and shout and often make more confusion then sense.

So a human makes the decision to jump onto a moving car with visible marked credentials. They then choose to put the driver in handcuffs & physically slam that person into the car while verbally berating them. This same person making all of these decisions then claims they were assaulted. Stay classy Kentucky police.

American police literally think they are THE law. The police should be charged with felony aggravated assault for putting their hands on him, and a misdemeanor charge of blocking the right away of a citizen, and another charge for falsely doing that to an innocent man. Period. Scotty would graciously drop all charges I'm sure. Though it'd be nice if the state then picked up charges against the police and they lost their privilege to SERVE said citizens while upholding the real law they swore to uphold and not their own law that holds zero weight.
