I am kind of new to golf. It threw me off when he said for his draw he aims right (I get that part) but that he also has the club face slightly open. I thought the club face would be slightly closed in order to hit a draw? Is that not true?
@@ryanschmitz1442 well, he's not a normal human as far a physical ability. But if you're new to golf, I highly recommend getting Tiger's book (i just got a copy for $0.75) titled "How I Play Golf"....it's life changing!
@@ryanschmitz1442closed to what, is the real point. Closed to zero/target (as in pointing left), no … unless you want the ball starting left and going left. The ball starts where the face is pointing (for the most part) at impact. It then curves based on the “face to path relationship”. The ball curves AWAY from the path. So, that sweet push draw everyone wants to hit - where it starts right and curves back left - is struck with a face that is open to zero/target but CLOSED to the PATH (not zero/target). Another way to say it is that the face is right (for a right hander) but the path is MORE RIGHT.
@@QuantumRadii great explanation. Thanks for that
Looked like Couples had a stiff shaft at the intro 😅
Is there a video to learn that shot from the pine straw that knocks a spectator out? When you hit it, do you yell 'Oh crap' or 'fore'? Asking for a friend
“Millions and millions of reps”…..got that? Don’t talk to me about God given gifts, or natural talent….he got to where he is by blood, sweat and tears!
The talent was also there. But the saying goes that hard work trumps talent when talent doesn't work hard.
Quite an exaggeration but the point is taken. The old axiom of 'practice makes perfect' lends true to Golf
You always need Talent, its when you but in the blod, sweat and tears you can become a top class like the GOAT
@@edmundkempin3170 I beg to differ I’m afraid “practice makes permanent” in reality. If you practice the wrong things or in the wrong way, you simply ingrain bad habits or poor technique.
This is Priceless - wish i had this when i was growing up (we didn't have youtube back then). I hit a perfect draw once on a Par 4 curved round a dog-leg but i didnt even know what i was doing.. it just came off. 🤣.... i wish i had took golf more seriously
Tiger was recently asked by a fan, "Hey Tiger, how can I improve my swing?"
Tigers response..."Don't watch YT videos."
Yet here we are with Tiger😀
I’ll do that hook left hook shot next time I’m playing Augusta 😳
This is top shelf instruction all right.
I go through moments where I imagine that with some training I could play professionally but sometimes I don't realize just how hard it is to play golf at this level...
Jeez , Tiger’s last hook shot ,,pure magic
Chubbs teaching after 3 Martini lunch.
Seriously though, great content and demos
To be able to sit there and watch these two hit these shots all day in person would be a dream.
I can't wait to see more lessons with these two master ball strikers! Great wedge play is the foundation of any great player.
Awesome. Making it look so easy
I was dying to see Fred hit too…bummer. Tiger is a damn wizard though!
