Brad thanks for the video. It is very educational. But for a lake that is mainly 1-6 ft with a few deep spots and the boat channel is the creek or river.
Bradley Hallman yes caddo lake was a river that was dam up. The deepest part of the lake is around the dam and the main lake has a deep spot. But for the most part a flat
There is a difference in hybrid white bass and stripped bass. Hybrids patterns are broken generally on the top section of the body striped bass is straight through! both fight very different and you can distinguish them easily!
I'm a recent viewer and subscriber. I think these general concepts on lake breakdown are very helpful and will be wildly popular. I know a bunch of people will ask you to break down their specific lake, but way more helpful than that is the general concepts that you use to do so. PLEASE keep doing these "big picture" and "fundamental idea" videos! You have a new fan, Bradley!
These videos on lake break downs are awsome probably the best content I’ve seen on youtube, really appreciate the details you put in your videos. Could you do a break down on a tidal system one of these days, maybe the Cal Delta? Thx!
To me. Take home points. In the summer stay with big river channels particularly if two rivers merge, bump up next to a point and have access to a spawning flat and decent cover of some sort.
Thanks god bless you idk.why it is so easy for me to understand your teaching and go pratice and pratice again and get better but it works thanks again for teaching . I know its alot of work on you and time so thanks buddy
so interesting to see you breakdown a lake that you haven't been on and nail the juice right off the bat. Cant wait to see what you look at on the mid lake section. All the baits you mention are what they are throwing here, been big weights caught all spring! Learning a ton from your videos, Thanks for breaking this lake down!
Right - I dident Know what a wiper was till i moved out west , the fishing is way different out west then being in the mid west . good info to know ,thanks
Bradley Hallman Just curious. You do any night fishing in the summer on highland reservoirs? That would be another video idea for you. There isn’t a ton of good night fishing videos and it’s extremely popular in this area.
Bradley Hallman thanks that would be awesome but dad and i struggle mostly in summer time on Cumberland but I’ll still look forward to a fall video thanks buddy
Have you broken down a lowland reservoir? Check out the Fox Chain of Lakes in northeastern Illinois. I’d love to hear how you’d pick it apart. It takes 15 to 17 pounds to win over the summer and confuses 90 percent of the bass fisherman, even the locals get flustered sometimes.
As an added bonus. I am pretty sure the fox waterway is one one busiest inland waterways in the country. Boat traffic is insane on the weekends. Would be a cool breakdown. On another note. I Love the videos, especially when you showed mark how to catch em on thunderbird. Hah!
This info is so underrated and underutilized. I'm still learning and so I appreciate this so much. I'm a bank fisherman trying to learn the other 90% of lakes. Lol
This video is awesome! Thanks for the insights. I fish Cherokee lake here in East Tennessee quite a bit. The shallow water near the channel swings or flats immediately makes me want to go try a few new spots.
On lakes that are muddy or murky year round do you feel like bass stay pretty shallow all year? If so what range would you think? For example you probably aren’t fishing 20 ft deep in a dirty water lake in summer?
That’s usually correct Adam. Water color has a lot to do with depth at which they will live along with bait, forage, and oxygen. There’s a lot to it but muddy water keeps them shallow and tight to cover!
Looks alot like my home lake of Wedowee Al. Please get episode 2 up soon. I'd like some advice on it. I can catch the occasional bigger fish here or there but I need to get a better pb
@@BradleyHallmanFishing man there isnt many tournaments on it period. Joe bass team trail is the biggest event on it. In the spring it was unreal guys were having 70 80 fish days and catching all the 3lb fish you wanted. It was that way middle of march through may
Hey Bradley, just stumbled across your channel a couple days ago. I am really enjoying your video's and learning a lot. I watched you whack my home lake, Lanier back in 2018. Would love to see you talk about how you broke it down and what adjustments you made during prefish/ tournament . Kepp up the great work
Once again another great video, cant wait to hear u breakdown the standing timber, not that I have much of it around d me but I like to learn all I can,oh and I got my BFE's and i love them they look awsome cant wait to try them out👊
Some good info I can use to break down some of my local lakes. Would be something if you could look at laurel lake in southern Kentucky and give a short rundown of it.
Great stuff Bradley.......... Love how you break this part of the lake down for summer patterns........... Keep them coming....... and thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge....!!!
Thanks Bradley for another great, informative video. You and Andrew are the best in sharing useful info. One or two of your running mates that do these, weellll, not quite so good, too much whining & complaining about other anglers and rambling on & on with non-stop gibberish. You and Andrew are great, thanks.
Great video , I do have one question , the fish in pickwick are floating around in the channel where the bait is an they are really hard to catch they are not in cover or on bank , how would one catch them fish , maybe swimbait or something it’s tough trying to catch them.
Suspended fish on the TVA system! That’s a video in itself. Techniques that work are swimbaits, stoking a jig, fluttering a spoon, and stroking a big worm! Those are the tried and true ways but nothing is guaranteed.
Great! I fish this lake a lot, it's always good to see it through new eyes! That one old bridge across the Osage was a suspended type, when they still used it, you could stop in the middle and feel it sway, so the locals called it the Swinging Bridge. Great content, can't wait for the next part!
Great video sir, appreciate your time and effort on these videos! Also the wiper and hybrids are the same. I’ve just always called them hybrids. Should get a Mac easier for editing 👍💪
Dang this video is the JUICE! Definitely shared this bad boy! I'm going to apply some of this information to my home lake Cherokee where Andrew won last year. That lake is my nemesis I can never really figure it out. I think my problem is the creeks, but after listening to you I'm thinking its just not enough current in them for summer fishing.
Thanks Bradley, great job
Glad you liked it Bill.
Brad thanks for the video. It is very educational. But for a lake that is mainly 1-6 ft with a few deep spots and the boat channel is the creek or river.
Sounds like a natural lake?
Bradley Hallman yes caddo lake was a river that was dam up. The deepest part of the lake is around the dam and the main lake has a deep spot. But for the most part a flat

Yes I understand but I was referring to Wipers! Depending on where you are from you may not have heard this term?

A wiper is a cross between a hybrid and a rock fish
Hybrid and wiper are 2 different species

I love the series. Wish you would do Douglas Lake in East TN for Dog days. Lake gets super tough!

Might have to, some of the ones I’ve done on small Oklahoma lakes would be pretty similar

So where would you go with top water ?? In the pockets off main river channel? Or points
Main lake flats or around those islands in the main lake arms.
