  • I've visited New Bagan in Myanmar during the civil war in 2024. This town is located near the ancient city of Bagan, offers a unique blend of history and culture. Known for its rich heritage, New Bagan is home to numerous pagodas and temples, making it a must-visit for those interested in Myanmar’s ancient architecture. Tourists often search for "Bagan temples," "Bagan travel guide," and "Bagan hotel recommendations" to plan their visit. New Bagan also provides a more modern experience compared to Old Bagan, with local markets and restaurants that showcase Burmese cuisine. Travelers looking for "Bagan tours" and "Bagan balloon rides" will find New Bagan a perfect starting point. Despite the challenges in Myanmar, New Bagan remains a testament to the resilience and enduring beauty of its people and culture.
🌟 Want to help me to help others?
My mission is to make more people aware of the situation while trying to help as much as I can. Up until today, not one NGO can be transparent about the activities they are doing within Myanmar, so I had to be creative how we can help some of the people in need. We can not stop the war, but we can help people in need who are effected by the war.

Dont forget the jews and other ethnic people who were murdered, raped, kidnapped in october by Hamas. Among the kidnapped people there were also for example people from Thailand. What had they done to Hamas!? Nothing. And Israel is not attacking Hamas if they are not attacking Israel first.

@@breezedoart It is between different ethnic group and the military. Myanmar is the biggest exporter of drugs in the world. They dont only fight for independence, but also to be able to sell the opium, etc.

I travelled through Myanmar October 2016. Aung San Suu Kyi had become State Counsellor 6 months before and the Myanmar people were very hopeful and optimistic regarding change, freedom and new possibilities for the country. It's a beautiful nation with mostly very friendly and caring people, what's been happening since then is just terrible.

Me again. Great job you are doing! I was in Myanmar a year after you, in 2014. I was only in Mandalay, Bagan and in between. In new Bagan I was in a poorer part than what I saw in your video. Either they got better living conditions or we were in different parts. Before the trip, I went to a lecture here in Stockholm, Sweden. The lecturer had lived in Myanmar for quite a few years and was very knowledgeable. He believes that Myanmar will never become an orderly democracy. All militaries that exist now were born into a military state. Same with the ethnic groups, they too have been at war for generations. Is it just a civil war in the real sense? No, it's a war on drugs. Myanmar then exported the most drugs (opium, etc.) in the world. Then possibly Afghanistan took over, but now Myanmar is definitely number one again. So the war, or wars, will continue as long as the various ethnic groups, and the military, can profit from drug exports. In the cities, the people can live quite protected, as nothing is grown there.

Foreigners journalists often get freed after a few weeks but I still don't want you to face any difficulty. I nearly got arrested just because I was playing game with my phone on the express when it was stopping in checkpoints. They went through my phones, gallery and everything.

@@Chai_Travel btw I'm from Myanmar, living in Thailand now (because of unstable situations in Myanmar). I only been to Bagan when I was around 5 years old. I don't remember anything. Thanks for making videos.

33 years ago they created New Began... Its not a recent thing and was a good thing back then. Where you are looks just like it did when I was there 12 years ago and even then there was poverty just like every country in the world. Inflation has always been a problem and 13 years ago they only accepted US$ in the limited places you could stay... I am not saying there is no war but you do seem to be dramatizing it a bit. The lack of tourist is mostly because of the over cautious travel advisories.

A good thing? You have any idea what the locals feel about what happened? I'm sorry. I'm not gonna have a discussion with you 🙏 This hyperinflation is nothing like the last few decades.

Sorry to say that I don't like your perception of Myanmar, your forever trying to overdramatise the situation purely to increase your content .I've been many , many times to Myanmar and foreigners are at no threat at all.
Please don't try to portray Myanmar as a dangerous place , we want them to get back to normal .stop this nonsense.

I’m sorry you feel this way about my stay and the videos I make 🙏 at the moment there is no way I’m able to overdramatize the situation as it is going extremely bad with the country and its people. Of course there is a flip side to everything but I’m trying to show a very realistic picture of the state of the country. At the moment the situation is not stable and not safe. I’m sorry this comment and/or this video offend you in anyway. I hope the situation will be better for the people of Myanmar 🙏

There is neither danger nor threats to foreigners, who are still welcome. In fact, the current harsh living conditions for the people living in fear are under-dramatized because they dare not speak up. The more Chai's content is spread, the more hope that they will get the help and support they deserve. Your comment 'nonsense' is way off the mark.

There are literally genocides happening left and right in broad daylight in certain cities and rural areas. What chai had seen and known is just the tip of the ice berg of the severity of the situation ...:")) Don’t even try to spread propaganda and overlook the situation in Myanmar. Even in big cities, soldiers and police are armed. Every citizen has to live in fear. Do you think people living in big cities are not speaking out because the situation is not that serious? No, they are not doing it because they are scared of getting killed. So, shut your mouth...

@@mitsunori222000 There is neither danger nor threats to foreigners in Myanmar, so don't try to portray there is, just to get viewing figures up. I understand that genocide is going on along with other terrible things and locals are suffering badly. But to show that you are tip towing all over Myanmar taking terrible risks just to make you video is frankly a joke
