It is not about the dodge. No one is going to buy this junk and Stellantis knows that. They just used the Dodge brand as their test bed. They will kill dodge and Chrysler.
Sales numbers will give Dodge a reality check.

Dodge going all EV is a mistake. V8 is what makes muscle car come alive... It will never be the same.

Shouldn't they rather be taking the engine out of the Inline six version and replacing it with a V8 rather than complicating their lives by making an EV to gas conversion? It'd be much, much simpler.

Look, if you're a single person with only 1 other person in mind to travel thru life with, then great. But for the majority of guys who want a life partner, and family, you need room for more than 2 of the littlest kids and you can't even fit "car seats" in a Mustang... So, it's a no go with families. The Dodges like my Challenger & the outgoing Charger are more spacious throughout, and new 2 & 4 door models have the Mustang beat, unless you were talking about the 4 seat ugly thing called the Mach-E. That should never be called a Mustang.

1 in 5 vehicles sold globally is an EV. Yes, America is slow adopting it at the moment, but we’ll get there.

I think they messed up big time on this, but does it look good absolutely. They should have released this first on a gas combustion and hybrid version before releasing a complete EV Version. They really nailed the exterior look for sure.
I'd have the vertical divider (lighted) resembling the 69 Charger) instead of that fratzog. But overall I like the return to the 68-70 styling. 😍
I agree that the gas powered options should be released first.
Americans aren’t buying EVs. Nobody I know has one and nobody ever says “can’t wait to charge my car in the apartment parking lot”. Very sad they did this.

I have a feeling if you drive this the way it's intended, you won't get anywhere near 268 miles on a charge. On top of that, the battery pack is very heavy. How will it handle?

Wherein Dodge shows they have no idea who their customer base is. Saying goodbye after owning two in a row, a Charger R/T and currently a Challenger Hellcat.
I'd buy one tomorrow if it looked like a '69 but upgraded for modern day. However it looks like a Stellantis universal platform mired in regulations.

They took something simple, and made it as complicated as possible, with no benefits
You can push the button, but the car locks automatically, and the button doesn't release the lock, so you have to hit another button to unlock the door. I'm impressed with how stupid an idea this was.
No disrespect, but we definitely wanted to MISS this announcement from Dodge 🤷♂️

@@ugabuga1361corvette is a specialty car and have a hybrid to counter cafe fines, and ford only has one application for a V8 (light duty trucks don’t count). Stellantis had 4 v8s in many applications that results in Cafe fines of 300million and buy EV credits from Tesla. Just one quarter was 500million! Just to sell you a v8. Now you wonder why they got rid of them and why the prices for them are through the roof.

But the list does include the Coronet 500, 67 Charger, 70 Charger , etc. I appreciate the styling touches in this new car that are in respect to the legends of the past. Maybe even enough to bring me back to the fold!

only thing i could really complain about the charger is that there’s only two doors now. Everything else looks awesome! The interior looks like it could be in a car in Cyberpunk 2077! The ambient lighting that wraps around the dash is awesome!

I like these. I like how they are moving into the future. Love the 6 pack option. Love my Hemi but it couldn’t last forever. It was time for a change into the future. I love how they still made a sexy looking car with an EV.

It’s designed by Stellantis (not an American company in case you’re not aware), and most of the EV components are made in China. This is as far from American as it gets.

At least we're finally starting to see nice looking EV's that are coupes/muscle designs. EV's imo have been pretty ugly for years and the "sporty" ones have been way too expensive. Hopefully these EV's from dodge wont be too outrageous.

I have a dodge caliber left in uae ajman at my dad's it is a great experience efficient on the use of gasoline the cost was13 Sar at ksa for a full tank and at uae 70 derhams for a full tank. Fully automatic.all wheel drive.and is hatchback station wagon looks like a small suv bigger than a small car.i like the dodge car only when I am driving it.i have asked for it at a dealership in USA they said they stopped producing it the caliber dodge is an antique has a historical value adding up.in general I like the dodge car.is my generation first bug.tombs up.

Now on my third 300C I’ve been waiting for some info on the new Charger. Overall I think it looks pretty good. I just don’t get that hood, is that a front spoiler? How long till the aftermarket comes up with a flat replacement hood. Plus, I want the rear windows to roll down for that coupe look. I’m going to take my 72 GrandPrix out for a drive today. Where’s Charlie Harris Pontiac when you need them?

Might not get a response, but any idea if at bare minimum the 2 door 6-pack getting a manual transmission? The AWD makes me think the manual won’t happen on this generation.

I love the look of this car on the outside and the inside. Dodge really nailed the packaging of this car. I just can't shake the idea of EVs being disposable especially after the battery is dead or bursts into flames. Call me old fashioned but when I buy a car, especially a special car, I want to keep it around for a while. I don't see passing this down to my kids unlike the previous gen. Thanks, Joe, for the early look.

I think this could have EV skeptics rethinking, especially with the tubes for "Real Sound." My company vehicles we drive are Hybrid Toyota Sienna mini van and driving from Asheville, NC to Charlotte and back and the gas hand still in the same position sold me lol I'm looking fwd to it!

The only thing I would “zonk” 😉😂,Vertical (up/down) cup holders. I like the horizontal (left right) cup holders. Personally, much more easier and simple in my opinion. Exterior? Looks like the concept, except the vents, if it was all colored? I would like it more. Interior?🤌🏼 FINALLY! Half analog/digital gauge would be cooler for a modern yet classic muscle car feel. Other then that? I like the design. Great review like always Mr.Ratit🫡😎

Yeah I think that was a mis-statement calling the 6 cyl a "hybrid," because the gas models showed no indication of hybrid (gas + electric) option.
This is amazing! Somehow Dodge managed to make so many retro design elements appear all new. Looking forward to pricing and a suspension package for the twisty bits on the six pack. Way to go Dodge!
