Good looking little knife. #canoecrew I would guess it is an old stock blade, leftover from an earlier model production run. Calen will surely have the answer for you. Have a great evening!
No matter what the blade says if you have the box thats the official birth date of the knife. The reason for the 2022 on the blade is they had leftover blade stock from that year. So they pinch pennies and charge us extra these days. Haha! Nice butterbean, they are on the scarce side for sure. God bless and Happy New Year
@@GunSlingerCal thanks for the information. I guess the confusing part is that the date is etched and not stamped 2022. I didn’t think etched blades started until 2023. Very interesting for sure. Thanks again. 👍
Very common to have different dates. The date stamp was the date when the main blade was made/stamped. The date on the box is when the knife was assembled. Since the main blade pattern is used for all of their different Buttterbeans, they probably stamp out a large volume of the blades, and then use them as needed. Great looking knife, my friend.
@@knifedelights7473 thanks for the great information on the blade stamp. I didn’t know that this was done with older blades. So I guess I have a 2024 butter bean with a 2022 blade.
Calen is always right!😂 but in the video it looks like a blade stamp. But you have it in hand so you would know better. But yes the blade may have neen made in 2022 and they used it in this one. Ive seen buck do that but not Case. So yours is really rare!!! If it is a blade etch. Maybe they started that in december of 2022? But really looks stamped to be. Let me know Chris. Or a miss stamp. Which makes it even more valuable!👍👊💥🐯
Baxter you are right it is stamped. I looked under a microscope and it's stamped. It was a 2022 blade used to build a 2024 knife. Thanks for the help. I put up another video about this.
That’s a great looking piece Chris! Very interesting on the date too! Sounds like what ever is on the box is the date of manufacture…
You are correct on the box trumps all. I looked under a microscope and it's stamped. It was a 2022 blade used to build a 2024 knife
Beautiful piece, thanks for sharing and God bless.

Thanks. Calen said what you mentioned about using old blades.
I was just looking at this on Amazon and I have always wanted a butterbean! Looks great 👍
I really love the way it looks. It's the perfect carry for the fall.
Great looking knife! That candy corn is really sweet! Thanks for sharing it! Good job!
Thanks David!! I like the candy corn look.

Interesting insight. I like almost all case knives , these Keranite ones have been fun. Great purchase!
@@MountainAjar thanks for checking it out. I really love the colors.
