the intricacies new and exciting approach to songs older than most of us is unbelievable. he's 66 years old here and totally taking it to new and exciting places. true greatness
I typed in "Bob Weir and Two Djinn" because I was in the mood to hear the studio version of it, and this came on next -- wow! A very nice find! Thanks. Happy New Year!
I really like this lineup only time I’ve seen or heard it. A very different RATDOG sound . I love all the rat dogs but this one is different and I like it a lot the china rider guitar work is so loose with rhythms I’ve never heard in those songs. Pretty cool and Jason Crosby what can’t he do?
when Bobby says STFU, he's expressing what many show-goers have been frustrated about: We come to hear the music and that includes soft mellow passages. It is common courtesy that if you want to talk during a show, go outside or at the very least to the back and keep your voices low, please and thanks!
been to about 40 shows at SW and 15 at terrapin past year or so, I agree with Tonya all things put aside Sunday and Monday were awesome, enjoyed every second (except when the circle by the sound board nudge me out) lol wink wink! love you all bobby dont get to mad at everyone, they are all humans....KO
Friend of the Devil, Deep Elem Blues, Dark Star*> El Paso* > Sing Me Back Home* > Dark Star* > Come Together* > Fire on the Mountain*, I Know You Rider* E: Knockin on Heaven's Door*
Shout out to the ravers that were next to me during the second set of 7/5/15. They just kept yapping about how they much they loved going to shows. If you love going to shows so much then stfu and listen to the music!!! I was in too happy of a state to tell them that. I wish I did, space>unbroken chain would have been a lot more enjoyable if they just stfu.
ratdog needs to come to boston or some where near boston becuaes furthur is or coming to new york and to new jersey thats all it would be nice to see ratdog at hampton beach
and I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Bob is carrying on some of the things that were loved about the spirit of the Grateful Dead and the deadheads: Kindness towards others (and so it is looked down upon for a showgoer to reprimand a talker), and a righteous lack of tolerance for those choosing to be unconscious of what is going on around them. If you want to go unconscious, this is not the place. Be present with an open heart. Bob's not grumpy, he's aware.
Jared Tinari Thanks! Johnathan Wilson is amazing. A breath of fresh air with a style all his own. I'd like to hear him play with Furthur instead of "Fake Jerry!"
Inane + trivial conversations have been going on at Dead + Dead related concerts since the beginnings. I am glad that this topic has finally been brought up. It is basically an extension of the philosophy if it feels good, do it. I'm heartened to finally see that folks are finally getting serious about the music. It disgusting that for the longest time it was considered ok for a drunken yahoo to start screaming in the middle of a serious jam or a relatively quiet, serene part of the show. It's time for the drunken bozos to put a sock in it.
I must say I agree with you 100 percent. I never could understand some drunk dude screaming during Stella blue or anything for that matter I want to hear the band and if anyone is gonna scream it’s Bobby! Well said friend
Oh I wish I was there, I would have helped you Bobby, I would have marched down to whoever was upsetting you and tell then to behave. Naughty children behave.
WOW can't wait to see Rat Dog, how bout Washington State tour? We the mellow jello, can't believe the naughty child that choose to make a not so nice comment here. Tsk tsk I know what Santa gonna put in your stocking, starts with a c..
No, this is 2003. Its set 2 of the Shut the Fuck Up show! 1st set was acoustic and about 37 minutes long when Bobby ended the set cause people were talking through his version of Bob Dylans "A Hard Rains a gonna Fall".
Sooo beautiful (and one of the best versions of Dark Star, ever). Thanks a million for sharing this.

Sure was some nice magic in that moment of silence
Hunters probably pissed about that last verse .. :)
I don't see why. (if ur referring to FOTD) Hunter wrote the verse Jerry never incorporated into the tune.
this be the Ratdog Quartet. No MK or JC :)
Indeed
