Ahhhhh, those back up and lead vocals on Crazy Fingers are luscious and delightful, Love the way Warren phrases his verses png West LA. This is just outstanding in every way.

Thank you for posting. I listened to this show the night it was broadcasted. But I can listen to again and again. How Rolling Stone left Warren off its top 100 guitarists list is beyond me.
I haven't read all the comments, but did anyone else notice that during "Bird Song", after the jam, they came back and sang "All I know is something like a bird with in HIM sang/HE sang a little while and then flew off" It was very clear. A class nod to Jerry! Bobby is way more classy than many give him credit!
Fell in love w Warren the summer he toured w the Dead…whatever iteration that was…The Other Ones, I think? Saw a bunch of shows w him and ended up going out and buying some of his solo stuff. Amazing. Singing, playing…love the guy!!!
Was so into the music that I was perplex when Bob started to sing Jerry's lyrics again. Absolutely beautiful and Bob is as great as he's ever been here.
Bobby's rhythm chops are on full display... wow!. Warren is fantastic (such a soulful and intelligent musician), but Bobby is putting on a clinic for rhythm players here. So grateful these guys are still putting out great music. Tip of the hat to Jeff Chimenti on piano... and those background singers are killing it.
TRI is amazing, you can change the acoustics in the studio to sound like literally any music hall/concert venue, cathedral, etc. that you want to...It's amazing.
Yeah dude.. They mic everything so the can play and sing softly compared to other venues. It's also why they usually post poor quality videos of the TRI sets. They can get better quality out of youtube if they leave the vid quality low. TRI sets are amazing
everyone in this set played so well you can really feel this, everyone on point and feelin the jam very very nice, everyones input is tasty and smooth thanks so much for the post
I know!! I was knocked sideways for a second, thought it was a background singer! I'm not a musicologist of Weir's every show, still I've been listening to the Dead and his musical journey since 1983 and I've never heard Bobby do that before or since.May he continue to sing his song.
So good. Had to come back for more in August of 19! I was backstage with Warren during a jazz fest run a few years back and he couldn't have been any cooler to chill with. Love seeing WOLF being played with gifted hands to tickle my spine.
From all the dead shows I have seen to all the other great shows I have seen (last waltz, allman bros at winterland, stones 72 tour, Monterrey, pink floyd @ Pompeii......) this is the most special and one of the best. The intimacy the small venue provides is first class. Warren Haynes who is obviously an awesome guitar player and what a voice. And I know this is a celebration of jerry and a lot of ppl will disagree but to me bob was the dead. Bob is the man. Such a great rhythm player and a good voice. This is great. Thanks for the post.
+grandbbq I was on his bus once and didn't see/smell any sign of marijuana. Leave your "real" comments to yourself please. Do you think Warren would like this comment? Just think. I'm not trying to ruin anything with you but Warren is the coolest, soberest, and hardest working man in the music biz.
tyler toner Hey listen my man. I think if your at a concert getting drunk and molesting women and only getting a warning from security... That's wrong. But someone who takes one hit of a doobie and gets thrown out of the concert... That's wrong also. Yeah marijuana is wrong. I'm not promoting marijuana in anyway, shape, or form but I guess it is better then a drunken idiot.
Love both of them. Great song together. I've had the pleasure of seeing Govn Mule twice, Ratdog twice, and both of them playing with the Grateful Dead reunion tour in St. Louus, Mo. at River port.
Don t you cry ; dry your eyes on the wind ! :) :) God i love the deads music more every minute of my life. you get caught up in the beautiful melodies and forget to listen to the words Forever Grateful
I agree. When Phil Lesh and Friends do Bird Song, they often say "all I know is something like a bird within him sang" instead of "within her sang". You may know this already, but the song was originally written about Janis Joplin, but I think the meaning can apply to any beautiful singer who has passed on.
Seriously, some great music here. Warren seems to be getting better. He's not trapped by any patterns of playing. His soloing is all about the song, not the other way around.
Watching Bob opened up the guitar neck for me. He is a superb arranger with his instrument. I'd like his to do some instructional vids, with acoustic guitar, on how to play Grateful Dead songs, the right way. He built the perfect large living room environment to play music in. Thanks, Don.
Rolling Stone also left Bob Weir off its list of 50 rhythm guitarists and like the other man said they left Sinatra off the list of the top 100 singers. So much for the culturally deprived but we know better and what a wonderful little show this is.
Love when Bobby plays with his range on The Weight, very nice. bobby is always stretching himself to be better. I wish TRI would sell these sessions, I would definitely buy them...
Mule and Warren were my inroads to all of this phenomenal music. The dead, panic, the allmans, string cheese, Billy….dozens of others. It it hadn’t been for hearing one of the govt mule tunes come across some Spotify playlist 15 years ago while I was working, and running to the phone to see who it was, I would still be stuck on Tool and Primus (who are great). But I’d never have given the dead a listen as an adult and I sure wouldn’t have taken my 7 year old son to see Billy strings in Minneapolis playing some progressive bluegrass jazz metal master music out of what I considered my fatherly duty to expose him to the Jimmy Hendrix of our generation.
Thanks 👏so much for the comments and support you’ve showed me towards my Music 🎵 , I'm so grateful and happy to check on you! You can leave me a text on my mail; and let me know more about you ❤️🇺🇸🎶
Nebraska Brian here Bobby..Love You & figured it out...I'm officially "Scaring the Children," yup my Facebook photo got that scary mojo!!!! What a long strange trip it is!

Life may be sweeter, for this i know. they sound so nice, love the vocals with the background ladies (could see them singing up front?) guitars never sounded so in synch as this!
first time gov't mule went to italy 2004 april I went to the concert hall 1 month earlier.. i bought the ticket 2 months before ...so excited that i didn't watch the date properly..i think i'm a true fan
is there a way to get a audio copy of any of these, to purchase? You can download a youtube video but if i can pay for great quality i would. these are really good.
I know the song, now. Been watching all of this. It's easy for me, the listener, to get "lost" into. MAN! It's got to be tough to play. Love the 'Dead" Bob Wier has the sound. I hope Rich had it........
As an armature musician I found the best part was the music, but more so the talk section where you discus the details and intricacies of how you arrange the music. Thank you for the information from master musicians such as yourselves.
Thanks for liking my aspiration and never giving up on my aspirations .I’m so pleased with the love and support you’ve showered on me that makes me feel really good.. if you’re okay with me adding you as my special fan?

Hey Jim, good catch. Phil and Bobby have been making that change every time they played the song after Jerry died. Your ears don't lie! Be well.
Jim Clark
excellent observation
you should listen to the last time jerry sand black muddy river. in the opening verse he say i will walk along the LAST muddy river.

He weren't no choir boy. That's why we love 'em

le travail de Lincoln Schleifer à la Basse est énorme de précision et de sensibilité.

Thank God for putting Warren Haynes on this earth. The show at Tanglewood in Lenox, MASS last year was awesome, enjoyed it so much!

Vous avez l'âme musicale pour notre plus grand bonheur ! Merci pour le post
Bob still has the most distinctive voice in music. Great emotion, gutsy, brave. Love it!
That high pitched voice that Bobby does on The Weight is unreal!! 71 and can do that, bravo man! Love you bobby

So enjoying this! The Dead and The Allman Brothers have always been long time favorites. Bob Weir and Warren Haynes together, wonderful to my ears.
Thanks Don Eggiman for posting this, it's really cool.
My first post Jerry show was The Dead with Warren Haynes. Good chemistry there, too. This is superb from the get go ! Thanks !
Haynes was great, Osborn not so much,

Awesome performance! Thanks for uploading!!
The more I hear the more I like it. The sound is exquisite; Bob's single notes jump out, great advertisement for Alverez-Yari!.

darn right. that version of bird song was perfect. it's almost like the song is written about jerry.

Thank you Robert Weir for the weird guitar playing we love you bud.
Scots - Coos Bay
Bobby is truly singular in his approach to playing rhythm guitar. He is a great listener....oh and I love his Old Man and the Sea look.
Seriously, some great music here. Warren seems to be getting better. He's not trapped by any patterns of playing. His soloing is all about the song, not the other way around.
Just discovered Weir Here tonight. Lovely stuff, thanks for sharing. Bob just gets better with age, I swear.
And all this time I thought W.H. stood for Warren Haynes
This is great, thank you !
Warren making that Wolf bark, magical
What a great sound, thanks for the share
fuck yes!!!!! warren is my favorite "living" guatirist and hes with the kid how sweet is that!!!!!!!

Probably my favorite two musicians of all time.
Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful! You guys & ( lady's) Rocked!! the house with this one.

Don’t get me started on rolling stone. 🥴
Likewise Weir's leads also not too shabby.
The fact Sinatra isn’t included tells you everything, but rappers are in the rock and roll hall of fame, tells you everything
F Rolling Stone
Love when Bobby plays with his range on The Weight, very nice. bobby is always stretching himself to be better. I wish TRI would sell these sessions, I would definitely buy them...
I cant believe I have never seen this. What a fun party duo with Bob Weir and Warren Haynes!!!!

Good one
Bobby almost F'ed up the lyrics on first verse of THE WEIGHT but Warren saved him. Classic Bobby!
Two masters with an excellent band playing great and remembering, among others, some of the jewels that Jerry Garcia left.
What acoustic guitar is Bobby playing? It’s so beautiful! And great sound as well.
Fucking Cool 😎 Damm y’all were great together. Thanks
Just found this n glad.🎸❤️🎼🎶
neat the WH for Weir Here, and synchronistically Warren Haynes!
Bobby, this is 3 years old, but you sound great. Just keep going brother.
Birdsong shivers me Timezone.
That West LA.... So funky it hurts! Talk about jazzed up
just crazy amazing stuff the dead roll on and on
Stellar....
Love those Yairi MM acoustics
Happy birthday, Warren!
Shit Bobby your vocal range is beautiful
Weir in that high pitch verse. WOW! He can sing
