Nobody mention how the Dev "Mithril Interactive" have like 0 background. They pop out of no where with a game that looks identical to Dark and Darker, who's developers are stuck in a law suit still and were kicked off the Steam Store. And Dungeonborne dev's stating that the game will not be released on steam... Just me or anyone else seeing red flags here?
the only problem i see with the game now is making money when you don't have much gear in order to get money required to buy gear, there is a great heirloom system that makes your loadouts cheap though so if you can get a couple of hundred thousand gold you should be able to have many runs that you can afford to lose
so basically new developer whose taking advantage of the dark and darker formula that was unable to be released bc of the shitty lawsuit? or are these the same devs with a "new" studio
Your exactly right, D&D left a void for this exact type of game play on steam and this game will take massive advantage over it and overpower what D&D currently has going left for it, very easily. Steam has HUGE market reach compared to the small time Ironmace Studios' own game client. Many people were skeptical to buy into D&D also because of what might of happened to the lawsuit. It is an almost carbon copy of the game, with (what looks like) decent changes that extend it far enough away to not be sued themselves.
@candyxxy I knew this already, but it not being available except via a stand alone client and not on the biggest online gaming store, is volumes different in experience.
It LOOKS less janky than Dark and Darker when you watch videos, but when you actually play it it's just as janky. The other thing I'll say is that I wanted to enjoy it, and I did enjoy a few rounds of it, but the majority of my and my friends' attempts ended with being steamrolled by a trio that had 1 or more cryomancer. The cryomancer dishes obscene damage while also slowing and rooting people using AoE spells you most of the time can't exactly run from given the fact that the dungeon is more narrow corridors and hallways than open spaces. Hope they balance things out because right now it's not great.
Its more likely that you simply had an issue with their servers that day, most servers ive played on are between 20-40ms with no issues at all. Its also very likely that they didnt anticipate the sheer amount of people playing the free demo

No OCE servers is an auto no go for me.
Basically if you can't bring out an AUS server your game is already a failure in my eyes
why bother when theres hardly ever more than like 10 sea players at a time

True, I like the game. let's see what the next patches will bring

I played both and I like Dark & Darker much more.
Game is ass lol, 100 ms on NA servers and im midwest. run 10-20 ping on most other games
I have 20 ms on EU servers, i think the problem might be on your side somehow
24 ping here on the west coast. Pretty smooth so far. Digging it a bunch.
