- Kurt really wanted to call something "Verse Chorus Verse." He wrote that phrase on the cover of at least one of his notebooks, constantly used it as a disparaging description of his songs, and briefly intended to use it as the title of the album that became In Utero. When "Sappy" appeared as an unlisted bonus track on the No Alternative compilation, it was referred to as "Verse Chorus Verse" as well. The band recorded a rough version of it during the Nevermind sessions, although this demo was version was recorded as early as 1990, when Kurt lived in Olympia.
Tuning: Half step Down.
Equipment used: 1967 Stella Harmony 12 string(with 5 nylon strings) Same model guitar as Kurt had

this channel was a grail to me when i was 12 (now 17), i spent countless hours trying to learn every single song of nirvana's from your videos and i can remember praying that you'd upload some fecal matter covers (which you did and they're BADASS!) lol. i've moved on from my pre-teen obsession with nirvana but still on occasion, play along to some of their tracks, especially drain you or lounge act which are probably my all time favorite songs of theirs. being from the south, i kinda found my way into playing a lot of southern/blues rock band's stuff like lynyrd skynyrd, johnny winter, zz top, etc... but i give MASSIVE credit to you and nirvana to keeping me so dedicated at that stage of my guitar "journey" where i'd come home from middle school, grab my dinky squier strat, turn on your videos and learn as much as i could from you. i now have a respectable collection of guitars but my go-to has to be my gibson firebird (which is known to be worth a pretty penny!) and when i play it, it sometimes makes me realize how far i've come from when i was started playing that cheap strat at 10 y'know?
anyways, it's great to see you that you're still the biggest nirvana fan on youtube and i want you to know you have made a huge impact on me as a guitar player and likely others too, thanks :)

Also, Im a highschool teacher and a lot of my students cone in wearing "Nirvana" tees and hoodies. They have no clue who they are. I try to educate but the urban youth is not interested. "Nirvana" has become fashion amongst teens.
I hear you! But a girl in my class actually said Serve The Servants was her fav song. But yeah, the rest haven't heard them, or don't even like them, but still wear Nirvana hoodies. But could have been worse I guess, haha.
