  • This is a great way to grow vegetables in a small space. I have lots of space, but this is super convenient. I have it growing on my deck alongside my growbags, and one planter can hole 30 plants. Amazing. I hope you enjoy this video, thanks for watching!

    Holy jebus!! You could literally fill each tear with perlite connect the auto watering valve to a reservoir of hydroponic nutrients and water and have to bottom tear draining into the reservoir 😮 it's a vertical Dutch bucket!!!! Ps love the videos keep up the good work

    I have 5 Greenstalks and I think they're a fantastic product.
    I'm afraid you might have some mixed results with how you planted yours though. Your strawberry plants might shade out some of the herbs and stuff underneath, and if you get runners, they might try to take over the pockets below. Also, don't be surprised if your mint takes off and pops up in other pockets on that tier!
    When your peas and peppers start taking off, you might want to get some of the plant supports they sell that are made to hook on to the tower.
    They really are a great product that you can have a lot of fun experimenting with. The Facebook group is great and super helpful if you run into any problems 💚

      Thanks so much for your feedback and advice skurby! I got some plant supports and the runners are running over them, I already harvested some yummy peas....and yes, I'm loving this Greenstalk! Thanks for the comment and happy growing!

    I got mine on sale during their Mother's Day promo. So far I love it. Much deeper than some of the cheaper ones. My basil, mint and bok choy are going crazy in this planter.

    I've wondered about those types of planters. Looks sunny where you are lol We've had rain for almost a week. Too soggy to get out in the garden, although everything seems to be liking all the rain. Thanks for video

      Hi Genevieve! Its also been raining here for weeks, but there are some breaks in the sun. You can see how green the trees are in the back, everything here is loving all the rain here too! I filmed during a break in the rain...thanks for the comment.

    I went and looked at the link, this looks like a really great thing. And I could use this to maximize space and to also help me with my second attempt at a garden, actually my third. Before I invest in this I'm going to make a partial shade covering for a very large metal stand that I have it's actually bunk beds that we have repurposed into a huge plant stand basically a raised bed for pots and small boxes. It was working really well but in the hot Florida Sun without being on it every day with the right devotion in the morning, it got away from me and then we went through a terrible dry conditions afterwards... Not enough rain then way too much😂

      Good luck to you! I just came in from checking on my plants and some of the seeds have sprouted, yay! You have a real challenge with the Florida sun, BUT, you get to do outdoor gardening all year round! Thanks for the comment!

    i would like to try this brand, i have some Mr Stackys which are easier to get in Australia. I have tried soil mixes, plain perlite and just clay balls. With a dripper up top i grow mostly strawberry and bush beans. Like you i am using them on a hard surface that would not otherwise be able planted upon! I noticed that the lower plants do not do as well in shaded areas. But thrive in full sun with adequate water:)

      Thanks for the comment TobyRobb! I took a look at the Mr Stacky's and they seem to be shallower than the Greenstalk. I was surprised at how large each tier is and how strong they feel. How does the Mr Stacky feel, does it feel well made? Good luck with your growing!

    They sell something similar at the dollar tree. For $1.25 per level. How do those stack up (pun intended) against this more expensive product?

    • @TikkiOOO
      @TikkiOOO  Год назад +1

      Great question Michaela! I think they are shallower and probably less sturdy. I'm going to have to go to the dollar tree and pick some up to compare, thanks for the question!

    It seems like the north side of the planter would be mostly in shade. Do you have to rotate the planter daily? I guess a good use for the mobile base..

    • @TikkiOOO
      @TikkiOOO  Год назад +1

      You are correct jeremiahbullfrog! Since its on the mover base I've been rotating it every couple of days, not daily. So far everything is growing nicely, hopefully it will continue. Rotating daily would be okay since I'm out there checking on them everyday. I'm going to hook up the watering system, but then I won't be able to rotate. I'll keep posting updates. Thanks for the comment!
