What an AMAZING week for tennis.
Nishikori is BACK.
Alcaraz Sinner Final:
- Sinner wins first set which Alcaraz dominated
- Alcaraz switches the momentum in the second after winning a VERY long and entertaining game, and not letting sinner break. takes the second.
- Third set they're both leveled. Sinner looses in tiebreak after leading 0-3. He only made 1 UE in the next 7 points that Alcaraz won
Fills run:
- Beating Fritz, and then beating Shelton in a very tight match
- Beating Rune in two unbelievable tie breaks
- Saving 3 consecutive break points in the second, saving a championship point on a specific Humbert serve to which he's been loosing all match.
Halep is back :)
The fans are the real winners this week!
Carlitos has immense talent, but he also has a genuinely kind heart. Did you notice how restrained his celebrations were during the match? While he wanted to perform at his best, he was mindful not to rub it in his good friend Sinner’s face, who is facing a tough time.
Why do we need to change Alcaraz? I just enjoy his spectacular tennis! Win or lose he’s fun to watch!
Alcaraz played superb tennis in Beijing, his best level since Wimbledon
Alcaraz is pure talent, Sinner is wisdom....both are the greatest players at the moment.
Look out for Arthur fils
And Meddy ?
Yea, Alcaraz has intuitive talent that he grasps during his younger years. Sinner started later and not sure if he would have had those instinctual skills but still they are both the best of both worlds of tennis!
@@aussietramp nicely put
@@MrBjorn6 look out for Fonseca.
Jannik is amazing but Carlos is much more fun to watch.
Carlos has the ability to sharpen his focus at the crucial moments. In the third set tiebreaker, Jannik looked to run away with the break and the match, but that switch went on in Carlos's mind. He is able to erase negative thoughts and turn things around. It wasn't their best, but way better than most. I love this rivalry! Could these two titans have a rivalry as scintillating as Federer vs Nadal?...
Yes, they certainly will.
Plays better or worse, Carlos is the most entertaining player from this generation, if not in the tennis history. His movement is what impress me more
yes! He is pure tennis entertainment!
Carlos played simply amazing.
It was a worthwhile match to watch….it was awesome and amazing entertainment!
Good analysis generally. But this court is both not indoor and not fast. It's more realistically medium speed, maybe even a little slow, but low bouncing. Shanghai will be very different since it's much faster. If Alcaraz wins that, then that will be even more impressive. But generally speaking, these 2 guys are definitely above the rest of the field and a treat to watch. Hope to see them face each other next year in slam finals
Completely agree about the rivalry, they are going to push each other like the Big 3 did. It’s time for Sinner to catch up, he’s been having the best season of his career, but lost all three matches he played against Alcaraz this year.
I wonder if any other young player will reach their level. There are quite a few with great potential (Fils being one of them), but to actually make it and be consistently great is a big challenge. It’s unbelievable how mature and complete Alcaraz is at such a young age. He just needs to become more effective at taking chances, this could have been a 2:0 win, he was the better player for most part of the 1st set.
Is Shanghai indoor? If Beijing was outdoor we will have to wait for first title😮😮
Love your analysis normally (haven’t watched this one yet but I’m sure I will!) But would also love if you could keep the result out of the title… I don’t expect needing to avoid spoilers when I’m trying to improve my game :P
would be great if you could do a rundown of what your top matches of the year where at the end of the year
Great idea 💯
Leave Alcaraz alone to play his style of tennis, its what makes him so special and that’s what makes him attract so many to the game of tennis.
Alcaraz will win calendar slam in 2025!
Impossible
@@edoardoriccio8733possible* and likely
@@edoardoriccio8733not impossible, but this is a wild prediction lol
Haha recency bias
@@edoardoriccio8733 possible* and very likely to happen
If Alcaraz is in his top form he is unbeatable.
Gill Gross said it perfectly. what would keep Novak awake and sleepless at night is - if he didn't play high percentage, precise tennis. Unforced errors - not acceptable. Carlos? if he didn't go after his shots, no matter what. Carlos is like - I might loose the match, but I'm not going to loose the player I am.
I like to say that Alcaraz is like the mysterious magician that everyone talks about but some times (very rarely) the tricks fail miserably and he needs to prematurely run out of stage😂😂
It's the way he is, we like him that way, not like an Alpine Android.
With Alpine Android you are referring to Sinner?
@@al1976-v7m what do you think? It's not an insult, he certainly seems a cold robot, tennis style and behaviour.
@@al1976-v7m think about this: if Sinner knew the Clostebol cream thing (just in the case he knew, I'm not assuring that)... What would you think of him the way he talked to the press? I wouldn't even think he's a cheater/liar blablablah, I would just think this guy has some kind of Asperger syndrome or he has psychopathic features. Nothing "wrong" about that, I'm ADHD so I don't judge "different" people... 😄🤷🏻♀️
The best analysis of Alcaraz & Sinner.
I am just so incredibly happy that Alcaraz was able to rise out of his "slumps". He is going to be at the top for years.
My worry with Carlos is his leg overstretch slide when going for wide balls! I cringe everytime he does that!! 😬.
Congratulations to king Carlos!👑. Hell of a win over the Carrot!😊😊. You are the best!❤❤
I don't think both played their best, far from it. Unforced errors aren't the best picture of a match, but they're important and both together hit almost 100 unforced, maybe 60, 70% unusual for them. Alcaraz's shot selection was a nightmare until the third set tiebreak and Sinner service was nonexistent the whole match, all that reflected in lack of chemistry they usually have. Anyway playing this level, both would beat maybe any player on tour right now easily, but since they're very close (still thinking Alcaraz is better) the match turned into a classic battle.
What do you mean by lack of chemistry?
Lawrence Mountain
Alcaraz can never clean up his game. Its his game. No one changes game post turning 20.
Carlos has to clean up his game, and Sinner needs to clean up 😂
Bradtke Junctions
Sinner must serve better, come to net on serve. Mix up game little. Sinner must get to net on weak returns. Sinner must pass, pass, pass.
Right?😀
