Great Video... Are you still using this Gimbal... I am looking to purchase my frist... "Film Pro Gimbal"... Between... DJI RS3 or Zhiyun Crane 3s Pro...
whoa...i saw potato jets video as well and purchased the zhiyun 3s...and got it specifically to be the go to gimbal for my canon c70...and i got that same wobble result...and turned it off thinking i didnt balance properly and kept getting the same result and havent actually been able to use it in the field...i dont know why it didnt dawn on me to download the app to calibrate....lemme try that
Hi. I just bought this bundle. I have a bmpcc 6kpro and bought the crane 3s pro bundle. However I'm having a wobble issue when in flashlight position. The camera is perfectly balanced on the crane 3s. I'm also having an issue upgrading the firmware via the ZY Play app. I understand I will have to calibrate the motors, but I believe upgrading the actual firmware on the 3S is a very important 1st step before messing with the motor calibration.
Friend, are you using a lens with a built-in stabilizer? Does the built-in lens stabilizer together with the Crane 3s completely eliminate vibration or shaking while driving?
Nope! I use cinema lenses which have no auto focus or stabilization built in so just the gimbal stabilizes it and then I use a little bit of stabilization in DaVinci resolve to make it very smooth if needed.
michael tobin thanks. Hey. I am using a Blackmagic 6K with an external battery and an SSD (I place them on top of the camera). What is the best place to place them so that there is less shaking?
The link in the description for the gimbal is the listing with the free offer. Not sure if the seller is still offering it. Read the “comes with” in the description
That is a *beast* of a setup haha. After buying the Irix lens we went back to the old Ronin M for now (instead of the Moza air 2). I would be curious to see how this would work with a vest support system... Let us know what you think of the transmitter/receiver combo? Curious if you have better luck with it than we did. 🤘
I just saw that Manfrotto just released the Manfrotto Gimbal 460 Pro gimbal. It has a weight limit of 10 lbs, so it cannot handle a 14lb camera. The question is...do you think you can get your camera set-up down to 10lbs? Looking forward to how your testing is going.
Just looked it up. That is literally the Feiyu-Tech Ak4500 with Manfrotto branding. Every accessory is the exact same design and layout. I can assure you the Crane 3S is the only gimbal that can handle rigs like this. I’ve been testing a ton of ways to balance, modes etc. getting much better results that I’ll share
@@initialfocus Thanks for that information. Keep testing!! How is the weight? That is the one issue I am very concerned about. Even adding on an EasyRig Minimax would not hold this weight (gimbal plus camera rig) and I know I cannot hold a 15-20 lbs set-up for long lol
Yeah haha that’s up to the end user. I’m quite used to suffering through it 😂 I’ve used a Ronin 2, flying an 8K Helium RED with Atlas Anamorhpics weighing around 40+ lbs without any sort of easy rig. So I know I can get used to this but yes most will want to put it down after a minute lol
@@Justin_Allen You don't have to. You get your shot then put it down. Nevertheless, there are body harnesses of various design to assist in supporting the majority of the weigh for extended carrying times between takes. Personally, I like the traditional stedicam body harness because its a decades old Hollywood proven design.
Awesome video! I'm needing a good hdmi cord that is flexible and also an attachment to mount my ninja v to the ring for the crane 3s at the top. Any recommendations anyone? Thanks!!
Thanks man! And yessss a good super flexible HDMI is the last thing I need. Saw another creator have a really good one but it’s from the UK so super expensive to ship unless you’re from there. I think I’m going to go with this one from BH: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1062272-REG/hyperthin_saht08black_hyperthin_hdmi_to_hdmi.html
Yea you have to calibrate it first then balance it then you set the motors to medium high and you should be fine oh yea you might wanna remove the handle on the rig its not needed 👍🏽 thank me later
Made an update video few days after this where I show it fixed! My final review comes out next week which will show even more ways to balance bigger cameras!
@@initialfocus Thanks! i have a totally crazy idea if you flip the Poket 4k up side down in the gimbal so you don have to extende the horizontal axis of the gimbal and the one side heviy side would change also the poket has a screw hole in the top wil be easy to put the gimbal plate on the top. and the footage you can rotate in post.
Been waiting for a video to test this damn thing to its limits. Sad to still see wobble. Please post a new video asap once you make tweaks. Be holding off getting this thing. My P6k rig is 12.5 lbs. BTW...you're going to need an Easyrig now! I got one of the cheap Chinese models off Amazon and actually works good.
Been spending hours trying all sorts of things! I have I almost have enough to make some sorry of 5 tips to not wobble haha it’s definitely strong as shit and lack of power is not the problem. I can go full inverted upside down and it doesn’t even hiccup. No other gimbal besides Movi, Ronin 2 types that could do that with rigs like ours. Very happy with my purchase. Just takes skill and patience like a true pro device lol I think since it’s “consumer/prosumer” we expect it to turn on and be perfect. It’s more like a steadicam setup. Everything gotta be dialed in! I’d love a link to that budget easy rig!
@@initialfocus Yeah man, but that first temp footage had some major bumps in it, not usable for pro narrative work in my opinion. Those kinks need to be worked out. So very curious to see you next test video with the setup. After that, try the DIY Trinity thing and set the S3 on a steadicam! ;) Here's the imitation easyrig: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BYLNWRB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (This model they say holds up to 22 lbs., enough for 14 lbs camera rig & 8 lb. gimbal I figure). So far it works decent for me. But haven't tested it with a gimbal, only cam.
Looking forward to the final review. Ordering mine next week and will be mounting the 12K on it. Your upcoming review will be essential.
How would the DJI RS 3 pro combo compare against the Zhiyun Crane 3S pro combo?
can the power plus battery zhiyun power the blackmagic 6k and what would be the input to be connected?
COMO SE CONECTA LA CAMARA BPCC 6K AL ZHINYU CREIN 3S ?
MUCHAS GRACIAS
Didin't you have any wobbling issue?

hello, have you released a full review on this gimbal ? if yes i can't seem to find it

You still pushing out the full review at some point? Really debating this setup but obviously will have to work out a bit too 😂
Is that all will come with box or u purchased separately?
Ehats the handle on the right?
Will the Crane 3s work with the pocket 6k pro?
Hi. I like your video. How do you control the pocket like record, stop, iso, wb?
Would you suggest upgrading from crane 3 lab to 3s for the pocket 4k rig?
Nice !!
How do you attach the V mount battery so close to the camera?
Accesories?

Hey. Friend, tell me. When you move forward or backward does the camera shake? Is the picture smooth? Things are good ?
What's the website to get the free kit that comes with it?

Hi bro, I think your product name should be Zhiyun Crane 3S Pro in the title..
It literally does... lol
black black black black black black black !!!! you live in a very dark world
Hahaha idk why but this is my favorite comment. 😂 I do love some dark aesthetic.
Whats the point in posting this if you aren't gonna fully balance it. Fucking do it right the first time.
Who cares how strong the motors are, if the entire resulting footage is unusable due to terrible wobbling. Meh.
