Thank you for posting this. I saw this tour as well, and was fortunate enough to meet the entire band thanks to Steve's Web sight and EVO passes. What an incredible assembly of stunningly talented musicians.......this was the best concert i have ever been too, and likely the best...... I will ever attend.
thanks for posting such an awesome video! i love how ann marie clahoun and alex depue look like they are really enjoying themselves onstage, and the part where alex breaks out into the cadenza from the 3rd movement of beethoven's violin concerto is really cool! :)
Absolutely not. This is a technique from classical music known as Spiccato. It's not something you see in fiddle music. Fiddlers tend to keep contact with the string.

1:58 - 2:33... honest to god. That's what the violin is FOR.
I know! i swear my next goal is to try to learn that by ear.. lol
both are really keen, the girl is pretty' but the dude won.
dang she gripped the strings
It seems to be just some masterful improvisation to me.....i don't know of any song it sounds like.
whats the song alex plays at 2:00
the ann marie was a bit off in 4:56...great playing though...alex was super as usual :)
She is pretty and talented but 1:58-2:33 and 3:22-4:25 O_O Guess its power and speed (Alex) vs Elegence and emotion (Ann)
yes but do not remember the name, its a classic.
Do I hear Bruch?
Ann Marie Calhoun is finer than frog hair.
@Dantheman89 Snob ;)
