Plus, I'll share alternative strategies for supporting bone health that don't rely on calcium: weight training, vitamin C, and vitamins D and K2. Weight training and high-impact exercises promote new bone formation, while these vitamins stimulate bone-forming cells and enhance mineral binding in bones to prevent calcium loss.

As I am the leaching channel on Vitamin D with specific focus on Vitamin D Deficiency- Yes calcium supplements are a waste of money - They can end up doing more harm than good. I get my calcium from sardine .

Calcium supplement are however crucial for auto immune patients who are on your diet and react to all form of daily and eggs. Vegetables simply dont contain enough calcium

Calcium is not only important for bones but important electrolite for nervous system. Difficult to get all calcium from plants. I can not dairy. Indeed Sardines & Anchovies are good source but boring to eat every day. Variety is needed. Important though not to depend on supplements
90-95% of indigenous Irish, British and Scandinavians can digest lactose in adulthood and is healthy for them we have genes for a diet rich in dairy.

In the book Food Forensics, I read an interesting piece of information about calcium supplements. As a rule, calcium supplements are made from calcium rock. And when this rock is formed, the natural thing is that lead binds to the calcium. So if someone buys a calcium supplement, they will also stock up on lead. People who supplemented with calcium from supplements also tended to have high levels of lead in their bones. In contrast, kale, which is a good source of calcium, can filter out this lead. And so such a source is significantly safer
I'm Following, but , when he says Calcium Supplement, is he referring to the cheap ones , as there are Top Knoch Calcium Supplement, made from marine plants etc. , or is it a general no go waste in general due to a mono influx of calcium all at once, & not nearly as bio-availble as that found in Whole Foods Especially Circiferious.

So, I am 60 yrs old. I lost my large intestine at age 29 due to ulcerative colitis. A couple of years ago had hyper thyroids. They removed the one thyroid that was failing. Since all this my, having chronic diarrhea due to my colon removal. I was told I had to increase my calcium and started cramping so taking potassium of 20mgs daily. This is powder kind. A lot of pills pass through me. What do you suggest for this. What is the best Dr. besides my colon Dr, OB and primary care Doctor’s? They all say to take. Calcium supplements according to my labs. I also take a very strong probiotic. It keeps my colon in good condition. VISBIOME. A 900 billion probiotic. They are the strongest. When taking them my colon results are really good. Inflammation goes away. Expensive but worth it. The only things I’m not sure about out is the calcium and potassium supplements. Interested in your thoughts on this.
Still dont know how to deliver 1000 mg of calcium on green leaf and pecorino cheese diet. I can barely deliver half of it. Believe me I have tried. To reach 1000 mg I need to eat much of diery or one can of sardines per day, etc. Leafy green plus a Little bit of pecorino doesnt grant enough calcium unless this is a mit of 1000mg per day.
